Aqua is a strong, yet somber, character in Birth By Sleep--although she is given the honor of being named Keyblade Master, she arguably suffers the most out of the Wayfinder Trio.
This arrangement explores Aqua's despair during the events of 0.2 while making subtle nods to her memories of her friends. String clusters, brass bends, and nontraditional percussive elements help to give the listener a sense of the frustration Aqua must have felt while trapped in the Realm of Darkness.

In celebration of KINGDOM HEARTS and the stunning melodies of Yoko Shimomura, Utada Hikaru, Takeharu Ishimoto, and Tsuyoshi Sekito, we present Project Destati’s second volume.
DARKNESS is the highly-anticipated follow-up album to Project Destati’s 2014 Billboard-charting soundtrack album “LIGHT.” The album is a musical amalgamation of fan-favorite themes from the KINGDOM HEARTS series, re-assembled in an all-new fashion like long-forgotten memories.
Featuring a live string orchestra and industry-leading soloists, DARKNESS is a dark, grand, and mysterious musical experience that aims to capture Tetsuya Nomura’s own imagination.

As of the E3 trailers, "Aqua" being in the Darkness collection is _extremely fitting_
Considering Vanitas, every member of the Wayfinders has been part of the Darkness somehow. Extremely fitting indeed.

This is a surprising yet very beautiful intake on Aqua's theme, I can really feel her despair through it! Definitely one of my very favourite characters of the Kingdom Hearts series!
That ticking/ clicking sounds in part of the song kinda make me feel like Aqua's time is running out in the realm of darkness. Like she only has enough time before she becomes.... becomes.... I CAN'T SAY IT. 😭

@@iancomtois9832 'AQUA GOT NORTED' not necessary, the darkness of the realm could have finally won out, and mickey and riku fight with her to snap her out of it. Or Xehanort did nort her to 1. limit sora & co's options and, 2. have a back up plan......

I love how they've mixed other songs together. Like in this one there is that bit from Fate of the Unknown.
This is deeply impressive. Simply amazing arrangement, playing, and mixing!
