This is just personal opinion, but the three themes of Aqua feel so different. 1st Theme: She wants to be back with her friends and just wants the strife to end. She doesn't want her friends to get seperated or struck down like what happened to her master. 2nd Theme: Her weakness, doubt and loneliness turned into the same thing that she imagined her friends Terra and Ventus: a phantom. She became her own worst enemy and learned that she can barely win the fight as darkness has found cracks within her heart. 3rd Theme: The sole thing she battled against for a decade, the very power that she dreaded would take over Terra, finally consumed her and made her into a puppet. The darkness took over her mind, her body and her heart, as she has fully accepted the darkness.
All 3 of the wayfinder trio went thru so much wutever sora's trio is called went thru grief and the nobody trio went thru agony. Playing kh in general makes me cry. It is exactly a lesson of life and people refuse to see it. If u see the lesson like this
Aqua..., Mickey needs to not just apologize for abandoning and forgetting about her after 10 years pass after meeting her in kingdom hearts birth by sleep 0.2 fragmentary passage which ended just as kingdom hearts ended right after him and riku sealed the door on their side (he only remembered her after the events of re coded) and this proves that Mickey is a crappy friend
You can feel aqua been through on 3 games BBS:She lose everyone and herself 0.2:Her trial that she's been through, Of her Phantom and countless heartless 3:Darkness finally took over
BBS: A newly form master who bears her new title with a heavy, but willing heart. 0.2: A lone master who faces many trials, each more daunting than the last, testing her faith as she pressed on to a seemingly pointless ever after. 3. A master who is finally crushed under the burden placed on her after never ending obstacles took a toll on her heart, now becoming one with the very thing she has fought against for so long.
Yes, it is truly heartbreaking. First I played as Aqua in KH 2.8. and i was like that is really depressing. Then, when I fought her in KH 3, I was like oh my god no! Is she too far gone? Can I save her? Then that fear fell from me when Sora pulled her out off the darkness. THank GOD! Lastly I played Birth by sleep, to find out how she got into this mess and oh boy! the betrayal and sacrifice at the end. Saving her friend while knowing she would end up in darkness for... like ten years? How long must that have felt to her? Damn, Aqua is for sure my favourite girl in all of KH! P.S: Got my play Arts Kai Aqua figure sitting right in front of me while I'm writing this.
Aqua is just one of those people who I can heavily relate to. I've made some stupid mistakes and I've ostracised my friends a little bit. Because of what I did, I let my own anger, frustration and weakness get to my head and I just wandered alone for ten years. I wandered in the dark for so long just waiting for help to arrive, but it never did and I sank even deeper. Someone fought me because they didn't want me to suffer any more from my past mistakes, so I can look to the brighter side of things. She is definitely my favorite girl and I don't blame anyone - not even for a second - for doing the same things Aqua did in their lifetime.
I think Aqua's themes represent the phases to an outburst: the first (Birth by Sleep) is when the firsts doubts emerge, leading to a "light" but sometimes temporary sadness. But if the sadness continues, we go to the second theme (0.2), when sadness is accompanied by confusion, because the outburst is about to come, but we fight it with all our strenght. However, the outburst comes it sounds liberating like in the third theme (III), when we release all negative emotions we were fighting at, to prevent our "madness". That's what I think
Just when I had thought Aqua's theme was as sad as it could get, Dark Aqua's theme came along and hit me in the feels even harder. It takes Aqua's sadness and turns it from looking for hope into trying to spread its pain to others, giving a threatening and sinister edge to her sweet sorrow.
In a nutshell Aqua: A strong woman determined to rescue her friends, unknowing of her fate laid before her. Phantom Aqua: A mimic of her negativity, they say the perfect enemy is yourself after all. Anti-Aqua: STEP ON ME!
The progression is hauntingly beautiful! And now I'm wondering how it would sound if it was done in the reverse order? Anti-Aqua, then Mirror Aqua, and then regular Aqua.
How I wish they made a boss rush mode specifically for Aqua and she will face the following bosses with their respective themes: 1. Terranort (Aqua's Theme): The theme kinda fits since she has to fight Terra while having to battle over her own doubts and qualms hoping to bring him back despite not knowing if its the right action. 2. Zodiac Phantom Aqua (Mirror Illusion): The theme perfectly represents how she had to battle her weaknesses in the form of her own mirror phantom, signifying the instability of her mental faculty and her fear of losing herself to darkness. 3. Anti Aqua (Dark Dive): Here Anti Aqua should've been made at least as difficult as Zodiac Phantom Aqua (or even harder) and Aqua should've been the one fighting Anti Aqua and not Sora to represent her struggle and eventual triumph over her dark, fallen self.
Brilliant idea! And yes, it'd be nice if she had fought Anti-Aqua at least in her Dive to the Heart place while Sora could be fighting Anti-Aqua outside. Similar to how Terra fought Xehanort within while Aqua fought Terranort outside at the end of BBS. I'd also include a match with Vanitas but that already happened in-game. Just wish they didn't do her rematch dirty with that fireball just so that Sora could come in.
The playing of all three of her themes 1 after the other was soo perfect and seamless that no joke when it finally got to dark aqua's them i couldn't help but go to tears listening and humming along to it,a shame this Mashup isn't an hour long cause id definitely listen to this all day
I know her time in the series is effectively over. I know she has little role to play from here on out. But if there were a single character who was in the series after 2 whom I would want to come back regularly, it would be her.
I love you aqua so much.you are a special thing that my god sent to me.when I see you .I get all my power 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Naomi heck yeah I’m on Son of Sparda difficulty right now right now for my 2nd playthrough. It’s become one of my favorite games ever and now I’m eagerly awaiting Bloody Palace. As far as I know, we never definitively found out if Kyrie was ever pregnant or not, but I’m still convinced that Nero and Kyrie already have 2 kids because of what Nero says to Vergil when Vergil comes and rips his arm off, regaining Yamato. Plus “hey do you do parties?” to the Goliath, and the sweet surrender arm
@@Pre-Millennial In the Before the Nightmare novel, it's revealed Nero/Kyrie are taking care of a few orphans since Fortuna's orphanage hasn't finished rebuilding yet after DMC 4. I don't mind that they don't have kids yet since they're barely in their 20s so they still got plenty of time to continue the line. I'm so excited for Bloody Palace, but I'd also like a DLC for Trish/Lady since we last saw them leaving for another job. But yeah this game is just SO FUN!
Naomi oh okay that’s cool and yeah I’m only 21 years old and not yet ready for kids so I don’t blame Nero and Kyrie lol. Yeah the way lady and Trish’s last scene went made me really hope for a story DLC with them! I have a feeling that will indeed happen but idk, I understand game development is more expensive and time consuming than ever before
@@Pre-Millennial Oh yeah you're right. Hm, well, if no DLC for them, then I'd still be fine with that just because I am so satisfied with DMC 5. I already want DMC 6 so badly, haha ^^ fingers crossed!
I just remembered how horrible the fighting in KH3 is. That fight in particular brought me to my limits. And I was 20 Levels Overleveled... Her Original Theme is best, then the KH3 one for me.

I deeply love and agree with your analysis of her themes,it definitely tells you the progression of her character from my point of view anyway
her theme brought me to tears after playing bbs. such a precious blueberry mom
@Jacqueline Crone she asked him to do that.

This song always brings me to tears so much

Nobody's gonna talk about the chorus for the anti-Aqua fight in Kingdom hearts 3?!?!?!
I will. Bloody fantastic, I wept.
The chorus is what broke me...
If u analyze it, we can see it is Yoko Shimomura who actually did it. The chorus has 0 MALE voice only FEMALES. Damn thats genius and pitiful
They are awesome. I feel So much despair and sadness in these which are the feeling that Aqua felt
On my first play through when I beat the fight, I wished it lasted longer
You can feel aqua been through on 3 games
BBS:She lose everyone and herself
0.2:Her trial that she's been through, Of her Phantom and countless heartless

It’s amazing how Sora, Riku, and Aqua are the only three characters to fight the Wayfinder Trio.
Riku never fought terranort
Rex West he fought with Ansem’s guardian who just so happens to be Terra
And fought the nightmare Ventus when he went to wake Sora up
@Pup DaNi he didn't
But he did get possessed by him
@Pup DaNi Does Vanitas count? I'd damn hope he counts. He's the darkness that stems off from Ven's heart, I'm pretty sure.
God the three songs together makes it sound as if she's slowly descending deeper and deeper into darkness.
Many video game stories have made me shed tears but none have made me feel more sadness and despair then what Aqua went through.

Idk about y'all, but whoever was on the violin killed it
Anti Aqua's theme is coming for The Other Promise's money for Most Powerful KH track

I love 0.2’s version the best, it sounds so menacing
The progression is hauntingly beautiful!

This is so powerful. You can really hear the changes she is going through in the music.
This touched my heart. Thank you.
I absolutely love phantom aquas theme
Best girl.
I'm just gonna go cry in a corner now. Okay, bye.
Yes my girl Aqua I hope her theme is in kingdom hearts mom she is my favorite kingdom hearts chacter
No one ever came. I waited for so long. Now you can share the terror that I felt.

Fantastic job editing this
Nice montage :)
Aqua's been through so much from these games, at least in the end it turned out good
How to hurt your feels? Just see this video
Wants some more?
Ventus and Roxas
All amazing but the original is the best.
Phantom Aqua theme would fit right in with a horror movie
Well, it may be a version of The Darkness from Union X, so yes.
Kh 0.2 birth by sleep is the closest to a kingdom hearts horror game
The Deterioration of a Heart...
They transitioned the three versions so smoothly
I like Aqua's themes they are all so beautiful! Aqua's my third favorite character along with Riku and Kairi!
Aqua was at her best in KH 3, Man. Best game ever! Kaash na ho!
Ah yes, the sadventures of blueberry mom & her fetish gear. Kingdom Hearts is great!
I know her time in the series is effectively over. I know she has little role to play from here on out.

Aqua deserves better 😔
