“Daybreak Town” was first arranged soon after Unchained χ was released. The initial melody was one that was very relaxed and fitting for a dream-like world. To this point, the arrangement states the melody with a solo violin, only to have the track later erupt with a celtic accompaniment and a huge array of whistles and other woodwinds. It was a treat figuring various ways to combine and transform the field and battle!

PROJECT DESTATI: DARKNESS
In celebration of KINGDOM HEARTS and the stunning melodies of Yoko Shimomura, Utada Hikaru, Takeharu Ishimoto, and Tsuyoshi Sekito, we present Project Destati’s second volume.
DARKNESS is the highly-anticipated follow-up album to Project Destati’s 2014 Billboard-charting soundtrack album “LIGHT.” The album is a musical amalgamation of fan-favorite themes from the KINGDOM HEARTS series, re-assembled in an all-new fashion like long-forgotten memories.
Featuring a live string orchestra and industry-leading soloists, DARKNESS is a dark, grand, and mysterious musical experience that aims to capture Tetsuya Nomura’s own imagination.

I like...how near the end you've basically legit copied if not...IMPROVED the original Kingdom Dance soundtrack from Tangled. Marluxia came from Daybreak Town...and Marluxia appears in Corona...interesting choice...also WHY TF AREN'T YOU GUYS ACKNOWLEDGED LETALONE HIRED BY SQUARE YET...LIKE WTF?!
Interesting that the tangled mixed in here happens to be the world with Marluxia in it... hmmm.
Everything begins here in Daybreak town. Your journey as a Keyblade wielder of your union collecting lux. But then, a cataclysmic war broke out swallowing the light and leaving darkness in its wake, and though the war extinguished all light from the world, small fragments of light survived in the hearts of children and rebuilt the world we know today. As for the X-Blade, it did not survive the battle. The two elements that created it, one of darkness and one of light, shattered into twenty pieces. Seven of light, thirteen of darkness and the only real Kingdom Hearts was swallowed by the darkness, never to be seen again. As long as it remains there, even the brightest world will have its dark corners. The Book of Prophecies predicts this excerpt, on that land, a war will transpire, darkness will prevail and the light, expire. The 5 Foretellers were given special roles, but a rift formed between them, further escalating the war. Ira, who wore the mask of the Unicorn, was given the role of leadership. Aced, who ore the mask of the Bear, was to be his right hand, Invi, who wore the mask of the cobra, was given a role to observe the other Union Leaders to make sure they don't abuse their power. Gula, who wore the mask of the Leopard, was given the role of Infiltrator, watching from the shadows and to discover who the traitor is, and finally Ava, who wore the mask of the Fox, was given her role as a teacher, to form her own organization comprised of Keyblade wielders from other unions in secret. As for the Master of Masters, he was pitting the Union Leaders against each other, and gave his 6th Apprentice, Luxu, a special role. To never open the box, and to observe the events to come after the Keyblade War.
I love how delicate this is, sounds like 7 am on a summer morning of a big festival day.
Ah yes, another lovely day in the Shire- dah I mean, Daybreak Town.
I wasn’t quite sure if I imagined the Tangled music or not. Glad the comments confirmed I’m not crazy, lol.
Anyone else get the feeling that the Keyblade wielders from before the Keyblade War are...really weak? Sure, the Foretellers themselves seem really powerful, and the way they seem to stand in fear and awe of the Master of Masters implies he's even stronger, but the new Union leaders in the Dandelions and the rank and file in their Unions are, by and large, total wimps who couldn't even beat Maleficent, whereas Ventus in BbS was able to kick her butt after traveling the worlds for a couple days at most. Ventus is in KHUX, too, but unless the Darkness hiding out in his heart gives him massive buffs, he probably wasn't any more powerful than Lauriam back then.
This has a tudor feel to it, a genius musical inspiration for Daybreak Town because it's in The Age of Fairy Tales.
This song makes me want to get together a group of people and just dance away into the night! Marvelous job!
This is amazing, towards the end it reminded me of Celtic/Irish trad (and as an Irish person that made me love it even more). Fantastic work!

Never in my life would I ever have imagined the themes of Daybreak Town being played in a Celtic/Irish style...and never in my life would I have imagined how much I freaking LOVE IT!
While I listen to this track I can see a common day in Daybreak Town, with all the keyblade wielders starting their routine and fulfill their duties, and as soon as they make it through the day they gather all together in the fountain plaza, chilling and cheering while dancing to the notes of the kingdom dance.

This is probably my favorite song out of the entirety of Darkness, to be honest.
Alan Menken would be so proud of you! That Celtic part at the end was such a beautiful nod to Kingdom Dance, I really love it! 😍
I really like the upbeat, Celtic carnival-style remix you threw in at the end!
I love union x so much and hearing this combined with Tangled's kingdom dance song makes me jump with happiness!
With the game shut down I can't help but feel nostalgic with this one.
