"Darkness of the Unknown", a track we always considered to be the final culmination of all the fights against Organization XIII, is presented in DARKNESS as an anthology of Organization themes: "The 13th Struggle", "The 13th Dilemma", and "The 13th Reflection" all make a brief appearance, as well as a few familiar characters connected to Xemnas.
A new brass melody, introduced early in the track, serves as a recurring motif throughout that ties all the pieces of this arrangement together. Along with all the fun character references, we also shifted some of the instrumentation around to better deliver the power we felt this track deserved.

In celebration of KINGDOM HEARTS and the stunning melodies of Yoko Shimomura, Utada Hikaru, Takeharu Ishimoto, and Tsuyoshi Sekito, we present Project Destati’s second volume.
DARKNESS is the highly-anticipated follow-up album to Project Destati’s 2014 Billboard-charting soundtrack album “LIGHT.” The album is a musical amalgamation of fan-favorite themes from the KINGDOM HEARTS series, re-assembled in an all-new fashion like long-forgotten memories.
Featuring a live string orchestra and industry-leading soloists, DARKNESS is a dark, grand, and mysterious musical experience that aims to capture Tetsuya Nomura’s own imagination.

Nobody? Actually, there are quite a few deaths throughout the series, even if we exclude the whole "all worlds sinking into darkness" thingie. It's just that death almost never sticks. I mean, the first game, right off the bat, had Sora commit suicide! (Well, not right off the bat, but you get the gist)

@@Keyteck120 actually that was part of the original Darkness of the Unknown, it usually happens when Sora gets nabbed by Xemnas and you play as Riku
Darkness of the Unknown is one of my favourite theme, especially when Terra's theme surfaces during the track. The violin makes it sound like an exhausted, but still determined resolve. It really describes well how Terra is torn and imprisoned in so many entities, still fighting after all these years, in vain. And this arrangement is simply gorgeous.

It would make sense to have terra theme here. Xemnas, or uh Xehanort, is using Terra's body as a vessel.

I love how the first half is so exciting and intense, and the second one is more soothing and dark. And Sora and Terra's themes really surprised me.
Bravo! Gotta be another of the best tracks in the album, 11/10.

I'm continually amazed how many different thematically relevant songs you're able to place into each track.
If I'm not mistaken, I heard parts of 13th Dilemma, 13th Struggle, 13th Reflection, Sora, Riku, Terra, Destati, and L'oscurità Dell'ignoto in this one. (Did I miss anything?)

@@Ephideltrance KH3's final boss theme was dissappoiting. A lot. The best boss fight track in KH3 will forever be the one that plays during the three way fight against Young Xehanort, Ansem and Xemnas. And it incorporated Darkness of the Unknown.

Wow. I’m not a huge fan of Loscurita del Ignoto as Xemnas’ theme and I was disappointed they leaned on it so hard in the Remind data fight but the incorporation of it here literally gave me chills. Fantastic work.

There's so many good tracks from this album that'd be good for studying. I especially liked the ones for Agrabah and The Land of Dragons. (I'm sorry, the tracks' names seem to have slipped my mind.)
