In celebration of KINGDOM HEARTS and the stunning melodies of Yoko Shimomura, Utada Hikaru, Takeharu Ishimoto, and Tsuyoshi Sekito, we present Project Destati’s second volume.
DARKNESS is the highly-anticipated follow-up album to Project Destati’s 2014 Billboard-charting soundtrack album “LIGHT.” The album is a musical amalgamation of fan-favorite themes from the KINGDOM HEARTS series, re-assembled in an all-new fashion like long-forgotten memories.
Featuring a live string orchestra and industry-leading soloists, DARKNESS is a dark, grand, and mysterious musical experience that aims to capture Tetsuya Nomura’s own imagination.

One of the best world theme of kingdom hearts, so beautiful
It has the same in-game feeling... Wandering around the forest with Aqua, Terra or Ventus. Stopping by a pond to look at your reflection, the thorns covered path is opening up. Suddenly you are getting ambushed by a swarm of Unversed. The fight is swift, methodically well-thought. And as you are ending the last enemy standing, you are taking a step back to lay down onto the heavy grass, in-between the flowers. You are safe.
Such a great orchestral composition.
Hands down one of the most powerful Disney world themes. Thank you guys for including this in the album
That part between 1:40 and 2:08 is by far my favourite ! And that piano at the very beginning... Incredibly melodious !
Ah, YES! One of my All-time favorite field themes in the KH Series... Absolutely beautiful! Will definitely buy this album! (just waiting on pay-day...) Thanks for amazing music you guys produce! :D
The first part is creepy but so sorrowful at the same time. I enjoy this theme because of the complexity of it. The battle theme of this world has a similar sound to the battle them in Monstro (KH1).
Kinda crazy how this world just...sleeps. Will the residents even recall losing their home once it returns or will they carry on per usual?

well , in the movie once Aurora gets woken up , the 3 fairies wake all the residents up and they just continue like nothing happened .
Kerī I wonder if the fairies would inform them offscreen then or maybe they don't to cause panic.

if you think about it, everyone in the world is already sleeping
Yeah, that's very odd considering it was the first world Maleficent herself destroyed and it was gone for a pretty long time.

And here comes one of my very favourite arrangement of DARKNESS !! I really love what you did with the two tracks, sometimes I could swear it's an orchestral version coming from BBS HD! This is more like your work on LIGHT, and I really appreciate it !
When I was little, Snow White was my first Disney Princess, and Princess Aurora (Rose) is my favorite Disney Princess. Years later when Kingdom Hearts was out, I feel sad when I see Aurora in Hollow Bastion.

My god, it's soo dreamy!!! You could fall asleep on this and fall straight into a nightmare, the only question is; who is going to wake this world now? Sora or Riku?
fightingpromiss I think Sora already did if you look at the timeline of when 0.2 BBS took place.
It took place literally right before the DTD was sealed. Because of this a lot of worlds were returned (See: Beasts Castle, Destiny Islands). I’m assuming Enchanted Dominion and Dwarf Woodlands was among them.
SuperShesh2 Though you may be right, I sightly hope that this world still sleeps so we have reason to revisit or save it in some way.
ZionGamer I think that they are asleep, Sora and Riku never visited those worlds to begin with so we HAVE to go back, I'd hope it's with the old crew along side so Aqua, Terra and Ven could see how everything is the same yet a world apart from what they saw

SuperShesh2 well Terra, Aqua and Ven never did and there was no need for it but Sora did remeber? Man Belle sure is the tomboy amongst the 6 princesses, I'm not counting in Kairi since she takes up that Keyblade and fights back
This scares me but it’s beautiful...and sad. (At least the first part does) And it’s also deep. This also fits Hollow Bastion.
This is one of my favorite pieces to listen to. I get so excited when I'm sent to this world in KHX or visit in BBS.

Best World Theme in BBS
I couldn't figure out why the first few notes sounded so familiar (besides just reminding me of the original song, obviously!) but I got it now:
The first notes on the piano remind me of Evil Morty's theme from Rick and Morty, "For The Damaged Coda"!

Possibly this one is my biggest disappointment of all the tracks. It's too loose... it lacks some strength... For me is hard to explain.
