Dollar for dollar Ryobi is hands down the best tools for the jack of all trades type. I have about 50 or so. Yard tools, many types of saws, drivers, vacuums, lights.. even got the air mattress blower which they should call the campfire/grill starter cause its awesome at that. My favs are the 1/2 impact ( get one!) Shop vac, and aircompressor so i can use my air nailers around the farm I started buying them about 2014. Flipped 16 houses, run an 80 farm, and partime handyman/mechanic. To date i have only had 1 battery fail. Zero tools, just 1 battery.
I use the 18 ga nailer for trimwork, bee hive frames or to hold wood together as glue sets. I wish they'd make a framing nailer but, for now, I use my ryobi 18v 1gal air compressor and a pneumatic hatchi air nailer. You get about 10 nails before the compressor kicks on when set to 80psi
I just had new carpet installed and none of the doors were spared from needing to be trimmed. Think ill pick this up instead of fitting with the small ryobi circular saw I already have.
Thank you for this video!! Ryobi days are going on right now and I was considering getting this or the plunge saw. I think I'm going to buy this planer though. I can seee using it more than the plunge saw.
@@frederickanthony1965 check out some project farm videos where they do tool shootouts. Ryobi occasionally come out on top believe it or not, mostly average performance. I'll take that every single time for the price.
Thanks for sharing. I was thinking maybe it would have been better to take the door off in order to get a uniform depth along the door edge? You probably wouldn't be able to shave the door all the way down to the floor? Maybe I'm wrong.
Ryobi makes good tools but since they're catered more towards the consumer vice professionals, everyone always bashes them because they're not Milwaukee, DeWalt or Makita.

Since when does Ryobi make air nailers….
They have made brad nailers for years.
I see that now. Ive never seen a Ryobi air nailer. Lol

@@chrisc7516they make EVERYTHING lol
Was wondering how well this planer worked. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for showing the setup! I haven't used one of these planers before, and the box didn't contain any instructions at all.
Thats a great tool, I've had one for years. I run it at a 45 along the edge after I plane so the edge isn't so sharp anymore.
I would suggest new blades
Thanks glad to hear some feedback about it 👍
Legend has it his wife still looking for him coz she wana know what happned to the bathroom door.
LMAO

Haha you’ve got the same “safety glasses” as me!
(Aka, the “squint”)
This video is worthless to me just because SAFETY was NOT FIRST.
Thanks for the video👍🏻
i love ryobi my preffered brand!
That's worst brand. Crap

Hearing protection, eye protection, mask up!
Just a suggestion: Never begin with the greatest depth setting when you're unfamiliar with a tool.

Where's your googles or glasses, man? How about ear buds?
Never thought about the ear buds 👍
Since when is Lalo Salamanca doing tool reviews?
Just imagine if it was Tuco.
Billy Bob Thornton?
Mark Ruffalo

"nobody's gonna steal a ryobi tool" ......... LOL. It's that bad, huh ?
