Just purchased. Incredibly lightweight. Easy to read. Bought it for the outdoors - fishing/hiking/hunting. Love the dial. Depth of numerals. Second hand. And the gold stars!

I like the five stars. They balance the dial just right and without distracting the viewer’s use of the watch.

A stunning watch. Even better due to the omission of the date window.
It’s a pity that the steel versions have the date, upsets the symmetry somewhat.
The five stars look good , no problem with them.
This is a contender for my next watch, along with the Longines sector dial with the blue strap.
Just have to convince the wife I need another watch…

Simple, super light and elegant, isn’t shouting for attention. I have got my nylon 40mm version, just fit for 190mm wrist. Almost perfect watch, only complaint is it’s rotor makes a little noise when moving wrist fast😕

I couldn't understand the appeal to the Spirit line until I handled them. Such beautiful and cool looking pieces.
This exact particular one makes me not care about the 5 stars, which I do not like. But everything about it is nice, therefore I can see past those 5 stars.
I feel the stars makes the dial too busy and also giving 5 stars to yourself doesn't look good. However, from another perspective, those 5 stars give it a retro and rare look.
I will probably end buying it, I love it.

Longines is fire top brand should be up there with Rolex and AP as well as a direct competition to Tudor

This is a great ‘little’ watch at the price. Handsome. Actually 40mm with a narrow bezel wears fairly large. If this gets released with the blue dial I could be in! Excellent bang for the buck.

When it gets released with a blue dial let me know! That would look incredible with a suit.

Great to see Longines build on their rich history of Aviation. I think this is a wonderful watch and collection. A great everyday wear also with its 100m WR, Cosc movement and clear legibility 👍. The steel, khaki green dial with brown strap 😍

I was talking about this watch to a colleague who can't wear watches made with nickel content. Does it have a titanium case back as well?

Hi Peter, It has a closed Titanium case back! I would love to see a open case back on this one as the movement is beautiful.

The nato strap on this model is not a good fit and showing clearly the lug pins . A good quality leather strap would be better looking . Or maybe a good quality rubber strap .

Grand Seiko only uses it on the underside. Oris often does the same.
