Fan-frakking-tastic. I've been waiting for something like this for a long time. Thanks so much for doing this man, and I appreciate the time you took to change or rotate the images for each of the tracks. I'd just give the composer, Ash Gibson Grieg, a bit of love in the description.
The bagpipes as a whole make the music better in my opinion, but that one part at the beginning of the intro music just gets me every time. Just that sound comes in and then suddenly the camera pans up onto a Jupiter class Battlestar; heroic and cool as fuck
Dam I did not realise how amazing this sound trak is till I listed to it on its own. So much of what makes this game feel different and feel like the show is in the music. That being said the game is amazing overall from ship design to working out how to intergreat with an existing franchise.
I was very much hoping this would be made sometime-- before this, all I had seen was just the eleven minutes of Skirmish 4, the Main Menu, a random Cylon Theme and the Intro. I'm so glad this is here-- thank you so much for the work you put into it!
I only got to know of this game this year.. All I can say is.. It was a very good underated game. I know that not many people liked turnt based strategy... What made me love it was the storyline
The composer did phenominal work. With the different themes and instruments like heavy drums tributing to colonials and the spooky sounds fitting the cylone theme.
Is there any chance you could add the newer DLC soundtracks as well at some point? This is really great music for a strategy game, I hope they make more of this at some point.
i'd have to buy all the dlc's in order to get the raw audio files to add onto this video which i cant exactly do at the moment in the mean time this other user i think has uploaded the rest of the music on this playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PLjQOEieyPFmMVwqB3XuR9jQv6wmWTl608
So, I've been playing through the main campaign with Broken Alliance. Up until now the War Room has played Map 5 as the background music. But as soon as I completed the mission to unlock nuclear weapons, it switched to Map 3. Very eerie.
For better quality versions you can rip from the game (I would buy the mp3's but they're not on sale) 1. download github.com/DerPopo/UABE/releases 2. extract and run AssetBundleExtractor.exe 3. select open -> Steam\steamapps\common\Battlestar Galactica Deadlock\BSG_Data\sharedassets9.assets 4. in the new list sort by name and search for entries begining with "BSG-Chapter" such as "BSG-Chapter1" 5. select the entry's to export, click Plugins, there will be only one listed for sound, click Okay 6. provide a directory to save to
you are a godsend. i've been waiting for this for almost a year. do you think you can compose a tutorial on how you unpacked the unity asset files, or upload the files somewhere?
Honestly I should've done this sooner, I just usually think people with higher end pc's and extra talent with editing software will do the same but at a higher production quality than I ever could before I'd be able to. But with the recent dlc releases and such it was good I did this after the added DLC soundtrack. I'll get you the raw wav files in a few minutes.
We totally agree that it's a great game, but what would a sequel add that Deadlock doesn't more or less get right already? I'd rather see the developers take what's great about it into another setting that frees them up for ideas that can't be explored within the BSG canon :)
That's fair. I've always wanted a game set during the or near the events of the show (the second war or the human genocide). It would be very tricky to make this work lore wise (not impossible necessarily though) it's just something I've always personally wanted. Speaking of other games by Black Lab Games though I still need to go back and play Star Hammer. Looks pretty cool.
That would make a great DLC (or maybe an expandalone which I suppose kinda is a sequel... just using the same code). It would be fun but you'd have no reason to have a fleet of warships or a map, so smaller scope than the whole game / a sequel would work I think
It would have to be more involved with a smaller number of ships. More micromanage options per ship. More control over vipers, raptors, and marine boarding parties. It would be very hard to make it work. Like I said tricky but not necessarily impossible. I guess maybe like an FPS game from another dev would be cool. Like a contingent of marines who survived on Caprica or resistance group similar to Ander's one or something along those lines.
Hey there Volcom, thanks for your upload. Can you please tell me which Unity-Extractor you used for this? I just can't find one which seems to fit for this work. Thanks in advance. Have a nice day

For a while until the Anabasis DLC. I occasionally play a few skirmish matches every so often though. I first have to buy "Sin and Sacrifice" then actually play it but I would like to.
@@volcomastro You should check it out. They also have an upgrade along with Sin and Sacrifice that is free. With the DLC you get to choice the music you want and now they have combat chatter like on BSG. The storyline is better and the combats seem a tad more difficult. It got a bit of SPV3 to it too, sounds like the SPV3 rendition of some of the more percussion focused tracks... Or Anniversary's renditions, I can't exactly pin it down.
Totally no. But i wish for myself a RPG-Surivival-Style BSG Game with the Galactica and her civilian fleet which are trying to escape form the Cylons, where i can manage the whole fleet with their ressources and take on charge with the Galactica during Cylon Encounters...a dream for me would come true.
I made this video long before the update that gave each track its names. These are based off what chapter and what they were called in the game files if I remember correctly.
I was preparing a video of the new dlc music but I haven't even been able to play the dlc myself just yet, so I'm fairly worried I may have missed something when ripping the music.

The only thing I didn't really like about this game was the ability to unlock the Jupiter class. Would have made it better when you finally got to command the Galactica in the DLCs and it would also fit with canon better. They should have designed something that had the same aesthetic as the Jupiter with the retractable pods and called it a Saturn class as a variant.
All of the audio files are scattered between the asset files in the games main directory which holds all the resource and asset files.
