Always fun to see old bikes still being thrown around
Christina looking all types of cute with the haircut and hat. Also sweet rigs
That Giant ATX Team DH has been my dream since it was out
Maxxis needs to bring that font back for the Minion!
Desperately wanted that Giant when I was in high school and still have a poster signed by Miles Rockwell in my basement of it today lol. It’s a sign you’re getting old when bikes you lusted for as a teenager are a “classic” now 🥴
FLATLINES FOR LIFE!!
Love old bikes. I still have my full suspension bike given to me by my granny in 2001/2002. It is a war veteran and I love it.
That giant is soooo sick
that has to be the most "interesting" vintage ritchey i've ever seen. beautiful fillet brazing and an awesome paint job. not sure about all the e-bike hackery.
Wow. Some actual classic bikes in a classic bike video.
Never mind Myles Rockwell, Rob Warner use to race an ATX too!
Really like old classic bikes, I’ve got 2 x Cannondale Gemini’s, both 2003, one of which is totally original with only a couple of small scratches, great old things.
Pretty sure the Rocky Mountain front tire was put on backwards
It was not
Mine is
'I worked all summer 1985 to save up', and he won't part with it now. Love that 👌🏻
That giant at the beginning I’ve got that exact race face crank sitting downstairs on the wall I love riding old bikes
Thumbs up for the old school 2005 norco atomik.
Now this is more my style!
Always good to see the old bikes being ridden by the old guys😂
Where is the M1? Are you kidding me? M1 is the origin of the MTB DH history.
Pinkbike contributor Dave Trumpore and his brother Lee used to dominate every Fall wknd on the Giant ATX and UVM skinsuits
Fun stuff indeed!
That's my first "real" mtb, OG Trek Fuel, bast model.
Lol only the 4th bike is actually a bikepark bike check. Cheers rocky mountain. Dam Christina talking poop about 31.8 handlebars? They are nowhere near phased out nor will they ever.
A friend has a near matching pair of Giant ATX 😎
I'd rather shred those old bikes than many new ones. So much soul in those old rigs
This feels like a guy trying so hard to flirt, resulting in maximal awkwardness... I get the premise, but it feels like pinkbike's pressuring Christina to just put anything out, regardless of quality
For me, Christina has always been a really "try-hard".
Wish Christina had asked about that blackbox rear shock on the ATX. I remember all the pros running those back in the early 2000's. Would love to know more about it.
Man I had that Fuel a few years back, and man did I hate it ha, rear suspension had so much friction in the bushings it felt like a soggy hardtail!
Giant atx is the best ever bike looks wise.
Seconded. Always loved the look of that bike.
where the Konas at?
Was she even born when that ATX came out? It’d be good to have someone who was riding when these old bikes were around.
Cool 😊
Love the bike design ruclips.net/user/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube. All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
My old 2010 Norco Shore 1 is to new ? Lol. And tell that guy his hub drive would still push him without a chain. Then he won't rush out to replace it haha
Impressive how some people are so hard to imterview! The third guy just gives a short answer and doesn't say anything else... I get distressed! Hahaha
The one dude has disc brakes and cantilevers on his home job bike
BOOO THE FIRST BIKE BOOO. That's a display piece not a bikepark bike check booooooo.
Looks like a good video, but I don't like her voice.
BOOO THE 2nd BIKE HE SAID ITS A COMMUTER BOOO its not a bikepark bike check either BOOO
Grow up
@@th_js Grow up because Pinkbike decided to make the worst bike check video they've ever produced? People expect to see a video about park bikes if its a WHISTLER BIKEPARK BIKE CHECK. Not a video with 4/5 bikes are commuters/one is vintage showpiece that never gets ridden. Only 1 of the bikes, the Rocky Mountain, was true to what the video promised.
@@alexh.4068 I see your point but no reason to be childish, it just makes everyone not take your comment seriously.
That is what happens when Christina is the presenter...
@@th_js On you if you want to call my choice of words childish. I don't write comments to be taken any way seriously or not I'm expressing my honest and what I believe is a accurate opinion. If it is childish, maybe it is the perfect response for what has been made into essentially a clickbait video/title. I have no apologies to make for Pinkbike wasting my time. I'll call them out.
Who cut her hair lol ..thats the worst cut I seen on a female in a while . She is mad cool and cute but the hair common that's like the 50s house wife cut lol
