The healthiest couple. Sherri Ann and Leslie were a May/December romance, and "Miss Cummings" was bossy, the lawyer couple were so neurotic they passed it to their dog. Cookie and Gerry were okay except for her promiscuous past.
I love that Michael McKean is so completely in character he yields to his partners need for attention with a soft smiled admiration and indulgence / adoration. Reminds me of a couple I know . One very reserved ? the other? Total Diva ! They have been together over 25 years now and it works for them beautifully!
i love them together ....its perfect ...one more straight laced the other wild...very complementary to one another and their affection seems quite genuine ... yes Scott is a little campy but I have friends like him and they always settle down ( if they settle down) with someone who calms and loves them "as is" ...- I am LGBTQ , I know many want gay actors to play gay parts . This was done before then . I felt it very sweet and respectful.
I 100% agree with you. The sheer humanity of these characters fills the heart. They would not be able to do this today. In some ways that's good, but in others a terrible loss. These two are OUTSTANDING here.
What are you suggesting?! My dear man!! .. talk to daddy! Lololol edit* this only got three likes since this morning That's okay I love the engagement that this movie is still getting all these years later It really deserves it
“Counting those, you’ve already packed six kimonos” alright well, here’s seven “We’re in Philadelphia for 48 hours” So actually, need one more, here’s 8 “How many Tea services can you do?” Laugh. Every. Time.
The thing is, there wasn't that much script in the film. These people are improv artists. The script sets the scene and they just wing it for a lot of it. Superbly talented groups of actors.
“Get one of those pepperoni sticks out, I just want to hold it.” They first sing to their dog on the phone..😆..and then, it’s a song about burying people. 😂
These film are to be watched over and over. The gags can come so fast, it’s hard to catch them all. In my estimation, not nearly enough people appreciate what Christopher and company have done with these films. Perhaps too many people need their humor to be “spoon fed” to them, and a laugh track or the just don’t get it.
yep, you have a bunch of comedic geniuses together, coming up with perfect lines. You do have to watch it many times to even try to catch all the lines, looks and nuances in this classic movie. Christopher Guest has given us some of the funniest films ever.
So brilliant they chose Barbara Allen as the song they sing "They buried Barbara in the old church yard. They buried Sweet William beside her. Out of his grave grew a red, red rose. And out of hers a briar."
I am convinced the John Michael Higgins is a gay man reincarnated into the body of a heterosexual actor!!! “Talk to daddy!!” All struggling comedic actors….this is advanced improv!!
Would love these guys as friends! But, being a fashion major, and particular, he'd know never to put a sticky tag on his satin shirt because it would ruin it, lol.
It's notable that these guys are the most functional couple out of everyone in the movie.
By a mile!
Fantastic point
The healthiest couple. Sherri Ann and Leslie were a May/December romance, and "Miss Cummings" was bossy, the lawyer couple were so neurotic they passed it to their dog. Cookie and Gerry were okay except for her promiscuous past.
The two have GREAT screen chemistry. A++. Pitch perfect improv and excellent direction by Guest.
The fact that there are some many recent comments on this video shows how timeless this film is. I love it love it love it.
The most well adjusted couple of all of them!
Can't argue with that 😁
One of the best movies ever in my top 5 easy, Scott and Stefan are a hoot, pure business mode 🤣🤣🤣
"You've already packed six kimonos."
Here’s 7 🤣
So actually, I need 8
This is me. You should see what I pack to stay overnight somewhere.
@@punkybrewstar83 I’d love to see
How many tea services could you possibly do??
And to think a lot of the cast's lines were improvised. Genius.
They all were

my gay, dog loving, film loving, overpacking ass feels very attacked by these two and i love it
"We have you down for a queen." "WHAT ARE YOU SUGGESTING?" lol
2 of my fave charactors in movie comedy. Brilliant.

And on to Better Call Saul and Schitt’s Creek. Fantastic actors. Astounding versatility.
AMEN!!!!!
This is pure comedy. Man this movie is comedy gold.
The script and the deliveries are priceless.
“Where are you from… like Norrrland?”
Being a flamboyant gay guy seems like a very fun existence
I just couldn’t get on the business end of anyones SlimJim and the twins, if you get my drift.
It’s all fun n games until…..someone breaks a heart…..😂
@@fuzzybutkus8970It’s really a lot of fun. A lot more to play with than chicks, not to mention dudes give the best head ever.
"Talk to daddy." That one kills me every time!
A stewardess on an oil tanker.... Classic movie from Guest. Thanks for all the great years and laughs.
*cocktail waitress 😉
I didn't want to plagiarize... Two mommies.. lol
Here's one Roy ... We're gonna need a bigger oil tanker. 😅
*oil rig 😄
Lol i just hear what i wanna hear. 😊
Him singing Barbara Allen to the other dog is a stroke of comedic genius.
it's a touching scene
We have you down for a queen - we still say that one to each other at home when discussing beds
What are you suggesting?! My dear man!! .. talk to daddy! Lololol edit* this only got three likes since this morning That's okay I love the engagement that this movie is still getting all these years later It really deserves it
Yes, that was one of my daughter and I’s favorite scenes and lines to recite to each other. 😂
Priceless memories

“How many Tea services can you do?”
Laugh. Every. Time.
John Michael Higgins was incredible in this film.
NOW I have to see this again! OMG.....such a great movie!
Bratwurst and shillelaghs - paging Dr. Freud! Just fucking hilarious the casts of these Christopher Guest movies.
I still laugh my ass off every time I watch one of the Guffman Gang movies. They are so smart and so funny 😂
"Alan Ladd at Easter Island" - what a line!
"That's six months working with leather and red thread."
"OH...HEAVEN"!!!
One of my favorite movie couples of all time please make a movie just for them. (The calendar)!! 😂💙
"How many tea services can you do ?" I'm dead.
God, i love this movie.
If you could get me a pepperoni stick I just wanna hold it. Best line in the movie
No no, good sir. I disagree. Best line is - we’re gone for 48 hours, you’ve packed 8 kimonos 😂

Chuck McGill and Clifford Main
We're in Philadelphia for 48 hours, Scott.
Give me one of those pepperoni sticks, I just want to hold it...🤣🤣🤣
It's so stereotypical tho. If you're actually into older men you're mostly into their @rse.
"What are you suggesting my dear man?...
..talk to daddy"
😂
bratwurst and shillelaghs, paging Dr. Freud!!!
@patrick4662 such a brilliant movie
How do they not constantly break out laughing? The script is so absurdly hilarious
The thing is, there wasn't that much script in the film. These people are improv artists. The script sets the scene and they just wing it for a lot of it. Superbly talented groups of actors.
All improv! 😂
A bunch of legends.
These guys hit it off perfectly!!! Love them!!
They re-decorated the hotel room lol
I came for some Chuck and I got a little bonus Cliff, too!
I’m alone but when I saw cliff main working the desk I audibly said “nooo wayyy”

Jesus Christ! Every Christopher Guest film is better than the last!!
This show is the best!
"I'm Irish/German"
"Like brockwurst and shillelaghs. Paging Dr. Freud!"
Bratwurst
look at the piping, look at the piping!
He's so enthusiastic about ridiculing her outfit 😄
😂😂😂😂
just unreal chemistry
That pom, you're telling me a dog just HAPPENS to brake his gait like that? No! HE orchestrated it! Mary!
The kimono bit killed me
Eight for a 48 hour trip ☠️
Freaking comedy geniuses, those two. Hilarious!
One line that everybody forgets:
"You know, he shows a good dog."
"Good baby boomer gag!" HAHAHAHAHA. Michael McKeon is amazing.
"She looks like a cocktail waitress on an oil rig" ....The Library section from RuPaul's Drag Race can take a cue from this or two
The original read!
“Do me a favor just get out one of those pepperoni sticks I just wanna hold it”
Haha
These film are to be watched over and over. The gags can come so fast, it’s hard to catch them all.

I haven't been this shook since I saw that clip of Snape and Darryl Dixon making out. Every film casting from the 2000s feels like a fever dream lmao
So brilliant they chose Barbara Allen as the song they sing "They buried Barbara in the old church yard. They buried Sweet William beside her. Out of his grave grew a red, red rose. And out of hers a briar."
It's like a little symbolic wedding scene for the two of them. Actually really touching.
Look at you in your party jacket! Mr hip!
“Talk to daddy” 😂..
They are by the far the best couple in this movie..
“She defecated through a sunroof! And she gets to be best in show? What a sick joke!”
And the hotel guy is Jimmy’s/Saul’s law firm boss in BCS.
LMAO
I literally just realized Chuck from better call saul is in my fav comedy 😅😅
So is Clifford Maine from Davis & Maine (here as the receptionist)
Cocktail waitress on an oil rig 😂😂
That line is hilarious 😂
Very talented actors especially when you realize that they had a very loose script and did a lot of ad-libbing and the other actors just went with it.
Get these guys doing their own film
“Talk to Daddy…”
Might be the funniest line in the movie. Except "You must be very proud, Mary" with that perfectly dorky delivery is just as good.
I am convinced the John Michael Higgins is a gay man reincarnated into the body of a heterosexual actor!!! “Talk to daddy!!” All struggling comedic actors….this is advanced improv!!
Such a good movie!
'That doorman was approximately Mediterranean type'
As an approximately Mediterranean type I've always loved that line. lol
After seeing this film so many times, just today I caught him sneak in "gotta trim their nosehair..." LOLOLOL
"Allan Ladd at Easter Island" - ha ha
best putdown ever " she looks like a cocktail waitress on an oil rig" lmao
Talk to daddy... 😂
Could you imagine if Jimmy McGill had this info on Chuck’s past????
I still wanted the bloodhound to win.
Agreed. Harlan Pepper was awesome.

Chuck talking to Cliff Main
Hah!
Omg
I have family just like this.
SCTV famous alumni
So this is what Chuck was doing during his "business travels" for HHM.
also Clifford Main as the receptionist
Chuck was also in a band, they had armadillos in their trousers
15 years later Dina on Superstore ripped off this scene by singing to her birds over the phone. You can’t put comedy past me.
We uad a beautiful Keeshond! That scene where you get to see ine, is my favorite from the movie.❤
What's that thing doing at the Mayflower? 😅😅😅
"She looks like a cocktail waitress on an oil rig."
“Six months working with leather and red thread”
Ugh! Heaven!
" rhapsody has 2 mommies"
That line completely destroyed me. I had to stop the video to recover.
