Why is this type of rap music appealing to people. Meaningless lyrics, fake and unnatural vocals, no instruments. Just terrible. And yet people still flock towards this type of music. This song honestly probably took less than a day to make.

People like this are why I hate rap. Random talentless people can just be "musicians" just by, even in some cases, getting lyrics from someone else, and performing them in a mediocre way. Rap inspires people to talk. Metal, Rock and all that good stuff inspires people to pick up an ACTUAL instrument, and learn a valuable skill. Another example could be Jake Paul. Whoever has money can become an "artist" with the snap of their fingers. Jacksepticeye, for example, is very respectable because he actually knows how to play the drums, and he does it EXTREMELY well! Just so sick of rap.

Lightning6475 I am not going to say that good rap music doesn't exist, I know that there is a lot of musicianship in rap, but my problem is that it's too easy to make a song, compared to other stuff. It's also not necessarily my cup of tea, but there is rap music that I can absolutely enjoy.
With the emergence of the internet the barrier to entry is less high. With it being more easy, and our society encouraging more mediocrity anybody can get on. That doesn't mean long lasting success. True artist who create music for the sake of saying something and self expression last longer than cash grab artist. That goes for any genre of music.
KingluccXIII I don't mean long lasting success either. But my point, as you said, is that the barrier to entry is extremely low, and isn't pushing people to try to take on something new and challenging.

I've been wondering when you'd react to this FBE reaction video since I first watched it. My first thought was "Who is this girl?" because I had completely forgotten about the meme, so I basically had to google her and I stumbled across the lyrics for the song. Saying that they're trash is a compliment. Besides the incorrect spelling of words, the grammar is inexistent.
Anyways, I wanted to point out something about the message this girl is trying to get across, i.e. "you're cool if you're dumb and boorish". I feel like the entertainment industry nowadays is leaning towards the glorification of stupid behaviour because they aim to create an easily controllable society, and I think it's terrifying.

This is my first time seeing this video of the "we don't need to name her because we all accidently made her famous without any of our consent" chick. I saw it in my suggest videos for reasons unknown by the gods, and immediately noped. I closed my RUclips immediately and damn near restarted my phone to make sure it didn't show up again, took about 2 or so weeks for it to dissapeard completely. I had very low expectations at first but let me tell you, after finally watching it.... never hit the nail on the head so hard in my life, now I have to go listen 3 iron maiden songs and highlander by lost horizon for good measure. However I did enjoy the commentary as usual, look forward to future videos
It's interesting to look back on this 2 1/2 years later. When this got released, I remember one of my favorite radio show's hosts asking their hip hop connoisseur producer if it was any good, and he said, "No, it's trash." She dropped off the radar pretty much right away. Now she's back on the radar, and is it for good reasons? Frick no. She's being accused of blackface and defending herself in the worst ways possible, just digging herself deeper and deeper into her own proverbial grave. She didn't grow up. She didn't learn a thing. She's the same 14 year old girl she was when she went on Dr. Phil, just a couple years older. Honestly I feel sorry for her. She needs to get some good influences in her life, and she's probably going to learn some hard lessons as she continues transitioning to adulthood.
