Best rock female artist ever. She has the walk, the style and THE VOICE.
DITTO, Her voice is amazing. She has it all.
I absolutely agree with you. Ever since Stevie Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac, I've been a staunch fan of hers and admire her. Stevie Nicks and her music and songs have accompanied me my whole life. Stevie is the greatest.
Even if new "stars" are pushed up faster in the age of the Internet, nobody will manage to go the way Stevie Nicks has for decades.
Don't forget Ann Wilson- two icons
Waddy is an icon too! Been by her side for forty years.
I love how she always walks out to the stage knowing she is about to OWN IT!!!!!
Very few actually do look like they own it,but she does. Freddie Mercury was another, but they are few and far between.
She sounds HORRIBLE. Stevie Nicks CANNOT sing well anymore. She sings off key a lot. She looks and sings like an OLD PRUNE...she makes a fool of herself...she should just retire. She sounds like an ELDERLY WOMAN when she she sings.
I thought the same thing ! She walked out on stage like a Boss !!
Yeah She did! 😊💙
@@mrrig3414 you right with Authority
One more proof 80s are second to none. Absolutely phenomenal decade in music.
For sure!
I think that part of it is that the early 80s in particular experimented with synth before it was really polished. That gave it both a cool, fun sound, but also mixed in a bit of experimentation and mixed better (in my opinion) with rockier sounds.
So true. I'm 30 YO and I've seen Stevie Nicks (twice) and I've seen Joan Jett as well. :)
You mean the 70s! Stevie is 70s through and through.
Totally agree! More talent on that stage than most music of today!!!
Stevie and Prince made one of the best songs of the 1980s. So glad they created this masterpiece.
Amen to that
That's what I always say. The best things to come out of the 80's are Prince and Fleetwood Mac (Stevie Nicks). In
comparable.
Didn’t know they co-wrote this!
@DJ. Justice la familia
@@damentesch
Stevie actually wrote the song but was inspired by Princes song Little Red Corvette in writting the music . Prince is also on the keyboards and guitar secretly on the album release of this song.
Stevie Nicks and Stand Back saved my life. I came out of a deep depression with her support and wisdom through her art. I’m forever grateful to her.
Her music is getting me through cancer again. So glad she is still with us.
I hear ya dude... the music is the sanctuary and it heals within it

Look at Mick Fleetwood stand and cheer at her entrance. ❤️
So sweet. Must have been incredible to see her evolve as a musician from the very start!
wouch
Mick will always love her💜💜💜💜
Saw it... loved it. Brought tears to my eyes.
So?????😡
She absolutely crushed this song. She sounds great.
I wonder how many times she has performed it....probably 100s of times.
Robert Williams...you got that right!
We have seen her solo tour twice in the last 8 years and she opens with this song to fill the arena with energy. This band is great and I prefer Stevie over Fleetwood Mac
WOW Right!!
And she had double pneumonia... was admitted to hospital the next day! Only a true pro would/could perform like this with pneumonia.
Mick raising his arms in cheering gave me butterflies in my stomach.
I was named after the band, btw.
That is awesome!!
Go iv
I love it too that Mick jumped up and cheered to support her; AWESOME!!!
Now the reason she performed this song so often with Fleetwood Mac is because Mick always loved this song.
@Zed that made me laugh
Anyone who doesn’t think Stevie deserved this honor is crazy her songs are amazing and she has been rocking since the 70’s. I mean the women is in her 70s looks and sounds awesome no lip syncing like the great icons !!!! Rock on Stevie !!!!!! We love you :)
I saw her in Birmingham ALabama in 1974, Buckingham Nicks.
Who the fuck doesn't think she deserves this. She is the queen of Rock n Roll period. I have NEVER heard anyone say anything bad about her.
@@stucknearthegulf how was it? was stevie good?

This is why she's rock royalty. Almost 40 years after this song's debut, the voice is as strong as ever, and many say, even better than ever. She's been "clean" for the past 25 years. And it's nice to see Stevie finally getting props and not being vilified as a witch.

I love the story of how this song was written. Stevie was on her way to her honeymoon and heard Prince's "Little Red Corvette" on the radio and was immediately inspired to write this song. She detoured from her honeymoon to get into the recording studio and got Prince's number. They had never met. She called him and told him that she was working on a song inspired by his "Little Red Corvette" and that she was giving him 50% of the royalties for the song if it ever became successful. She asked him what he was doing right that moment and if he could come into the studio to play on the recording. He said yes and was there in 20 mins. He worked on it and played on it in the studio with Stevie and her crew for about an hour and a half, and this is the result. Pretty great stuff.
Great story about an icredible piece of music ! My favourite version is the one from 2004 !
70 and beautiful in looks and sound
This woman deserves to stay young forever. Stay with us, Stevie!
Take me home, well I need a little simphaphy
I'm 66 and still dancing and listening to your songs! Never will I BE TOO OLD!
I'm 70 years old and African American, I love Stevie Nicks‼️
Waddy Wachtel appreciation post. Stevie is a gift to humanity. Saw her live in Baltimore. The entire band was great. Waddy is also pretty legendary in his own right as well.
Watching Mick jump up and do horns and scream was PERFECT !! Not to mention Stevie sounds and looks amazing !
There are women in Rock N Roll, I mean GREAT Women ,.. and THEN, There is Stevie Nicks !!!
Melissa is another!
The Queen of Rock for the past 50 years!
☮️ Nicks has often told the story of how she wrote the song. She wrote it on the day of her marriage to Kim Anderson on January 29, 1983. The newlyweds were driving up to San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara when Prince's song "Little Red Corvette" came on the radio. Nicks started humming along to the melody, especially inspired by the lush synthesizers of the song, and "Stand Back" was born. They stopped and got a tape recorder and she recorded the demo in the honeymoon suite that night. Later, when Nicks went into the studio to record the song, she called Prince and told him the story of how she wrote the song to his melody. He came to the studio that night and played synthesizers on it, although his contribution is uncredited on the album. He and Nicks did agree however to split the publishing royalties on the song 50-50. Then, she says, "he just got up and left as if the whole thing happened in a dream.☮️
Wow!!!
That last part is funny. Prince was known for his just vanishing after socializing with people lol
She is so bad ass! Im not of her era...younger...but I found a Fleetwood Mac Album...yes album...and that was it! I was gone! Love her!
PsychoBabble im 16 and Love her
Welcome to the really song and music and its too bad you didn't live through the years - era of that generation.
I am her generation and yes she is a badass. I have been listening to her for 40 years y'all have a lot of catching up to do
Same I’m not in her generation either! I grew up watching Rhiannon live on The Midnight Special on RUclips and if you’re wondering how old I was then, I saw Fleetwood Mac live at age 4 or 5 and knew most of the words. Loved both her solo work and Fleetwood Mac ever since.
@@aek1928 Well I lived though there time my first eight track was fleetwood Mac. so that tells you how old I am lol

Without a doubt!

The queen of rock'n roll ...
I can't believe that despite how many people are saying she still sounds great, no one realizes she had double bronchitis that night and still slayed

It's a perfect song. Prince wrote the electric-synth background riff. Perfect.
It was derived from Little Red Corvette. That's where Nicks got the idea and why she called up Prince.

She knocked this dead. She looks SO HAPPY here. You could tell she was REALLY enjoying this truly deserving SHINING MOMENT 😉

See kids this is what a singer sounds like that never had to rely on autotune. Absolutely fantastic!

She is flat! A monotone, overrated singer. Did I mention she's tone deaf LOL
Except her voice is definitely being run thru live auto tune for this performance and anyone with ears can hear that clearly..😅 would not be surprised if there was a midi guide track on it as well.
Her voice has never wavered through her entire career. I’m a proud owner of the Buckingham Nicks album she and Lindsey put together before joining Fleetwood Mac. It’s no doubt in my mind the greatest works those two ever did including their works as solo artist and while with Fleetwood Mac. Her first ever version of Rhiannon is on that album and it’s live, it’s my all time favorite of all her works. She deserves all of the accolades she has gotten.
STEVIE IS THE BEST EVER...💝

A bit late to this show but just LOVE, LOVE LOVE this woman. A message to all the up and coming so-called "talent" out there:. Watch, and take notes kids, THIS is how it's REALLY done!!
Funny then that Stevie herself seeks out the “so-called” talent of today to work with, eg, her duetting with Harry Styles. These great artists are nowhere near as closed minded to the new artists as some of the comments on here would have one believe…. You Stevie! You rock!
For someone suffering from double pneumonia, Stevie did a fantastic job!

Everyone should be commended for this marvelous live version of "Stand Back" especially Stevie Nicks who still got that magical voice. 😊
What a Legendary chic it’s my favourite song ever
This woman is in her 70’s & is performing on this level with no lip-sync. Social media didn’t exist back then, so to get noticed you had to be REALLY good. The talent level of today’s music doesn’t come close to what these legends produced.

The lady never disappoints....and she never just 'rocks a little'.....Always the consumate rocker....She is inspired by the best, to be the best and as such continues to inspire other artists. Not just young woman, not just rock singers nor songwriters....but all those in the industry. She is more than a talented performer, shrewd businesswoman and public advocate for many causes.....She is Stevie Nicks: A FORCE OF NATURE that bends like a willow while still strong enough to knock down walls with one note 🎶. If her voice doesn't snare you then her lyrics will. She IS Timeless and she knows it. Rock On, ancient queen!
