This video is gold! Knowing how you achieved the final look is one thing, but seeing the decisions you made throughout the process is so helpful. The origami birds were incredibly beautiful, it takes a true artist to scrap them for the good of the final piece! You are so right, the subtleties of these real life textures can't be made digitally. Well done!

Thanks Sam 🙏 Glad to hear you found it helpful! Honestly that was a big reason I decided to start sharing my workflow in longer RUclips videos. Short behind-the-scenes social videos are fun to make, but I just end up having to oversimplify the actual process.

I do not understand how you've not become bigger! Not only are you really good at animating, you also showcase the creative and mechanical process of animation in a refreshingly honest way. I'm happy to be a new subscriber!

when I first saw this animation through Instagram reels, I was so in awe by the tactile feeling that I had to watch it on repeat. now watching the creative process, I'm even more amazed by your hard work - to go along with your ideas as they pop up along the way, then reassess and discard them can seem like wasted time and effort, but because you went with that one idea it lead to another that actually made a more engaging outcome, damn 👏👏👏

Hey Aaron, just wanted to let you know that I have just discovered your channel and binged all of its content for the past two hours (even that AMAZING Lego short film).
I am honestly shocked at how little attention this channel gets, and those who do see your videos seem to be very appreciative of them - and so am I.
I am looking forward to ANYTHING that you might post in the future, because I know it'll be great! And waiting to see this channel picked up by the algorithm and blow up! ;))
