It covers everything from Reels to Resumes and interviews! It’s essential to learn the ins and outs of the industry!
Into the Spiderverse has some great "ugly" expressions. Milt Kahl was a genius for making Madam Medusa refusing to use video reference, but there's definitely something to be found in real faces. Humans are so sensitive to emotional ticks and tocks amongst the jungle of little muscles in human faces. Lots of opportunity to find some identity in the least dynamic of action.
5:22 "I couldn't stop Ariel, she did it anyway". I'm not a visual artist of any sort, but I am a writer, and I have absolutely had characters do that exact thing to me where they just take over and do what they want.
Such an inspiring animator.
4:13 that’s it: a REAL artist puts his heart in his creation. This is pure art that comes right from the deepest part of this man’s heart. His works spreads emotions, cause that’s exactly what he putted in them.
Every artist puts their heart into their creation. Idk what you mean by "REAL artist". There's no "REAL artist".
@@felixt808 ikr, why gatekeep what art is lol
yo why am I tearing up at this
@@FeministCatwomanme too!
Love me some Glen Keane one of my heroes, when I found out he did work for Alvin and the Chipmunks adventure and those awesome song segments I knew this guy was a real deal, did more research and he was behind the most classic Disney films of all time, I'm so happy he still out here animating and trying new stuff and I'm definitely taking his tips in consideration on my animation journey, amazing guy.
be vulnerable... thanks glen
thats exposing your heart in your work
As a Designer, this is GOLD!
The skill we should all aspire to as artists! It's a shame quality in animation has taken several steps backwards for so long. Only recently with higher demand in streaming content have quality skills finally made a comeback.
that anime Rapunzel though at the start
Many artist, including comic artists, often talk about the "visual acting" of the eyes. Now so does Glenn. You definitely notice in these animated movies especially when hero meets heroine.
I think "real" can mean "considerate" or understanding the movement such as tarzan's anatomy.
be vulnerable
1:11 That Tarzan's model looks really handsome.
Gay
@@sotoart89 Asexual.
What? You can be a man and think about handsome mens, whats the problem? I'm a woman and I like see beautiful woman and I not lesbian.
@@renatashp I don't think about handsome men. I just don't really see a problem when it comes to recognize someone else's beauty, regardless of being man or woman.
@@nooneofconsequence1586 yes, that's what i mean, you're right! ✌

I think disney needs to pay lot of money to original authors for all those characters in the movies....
as museums from around the globe should return back arts to originals ....

What character was Glen talking about during #2?
Ariel, I think.
He's talking about Ariel, when the original Disney animators were looking at the animations.
