I have this drive enclosure. Hard to assemble correctly, BUT it works well when set up.

anybody know why the case has a plastic take keeps the chip lifted at a 30 degree?
You didn't use the screw inside the enclosure that holds the drive in place. Read the directions.
i got one of these a few years ago and only recently bought an ssd to put in it. it ended up beeing defective in my chase and almost made me blame it on the ssd itself.
ssd did not show up in regular file manager, it did show up in partition manager without volume size etc and every attempt to put a partition on it ended up in an error message "fatal hardware failure". i ripped out the ssd of my old laptop and attempted to partition it there with the help of a usb-boot stick, partitioned like a dream without even the slightest hickups. attempted to read it installed back in the enclosure (maybe just partitioning wont work with that thing i thought to myself) nope, won't even work if the ssd is partitioned already. yes the key matches on ssd and chase and specs should be compatible

LOL, put thermal pad on wrong and has to correct, then puts cover on wrong and has to correct. The drive is a good performer but odd design that obviously people struggle with. ps CrystayDiskMark is terrible benchmark software.

What chipset does it has?: jmicron JMS583, ASMedia ASM2362 or Realtek RTL9210B?
The SHE-C325 has the JMS583, and the SHE-C325 Pro (USB 3.2 / Gen2) has RTK9210BR
This is the worst encloure, it gets hot really fast..i bought it and then i had to spend more money to buy a better one...which one is better? You can buy the Orico enclosure
It can be because of your disk because as i can compare PNY CS3040 and FIRECUDE 520, there are huge differences in terms of thermal issues. Firecuda gets hot really fast. So that may be about your disk, not enclosure. Did you try with different ssd?
