Hi Rich! I’m at the same point with my build, The thread pitch for the nipple is 3/4 Npt I did the same thing you did and now have a few extra fittings. And if you order a thermostat housing check the bolt dimensions the magnum block uses a 2.125 from center to center of the bolts, the older 360,s used 2.5. Pete
Hi Rich! Good to see you, I can't wait for the brake and rear axle upgrades. It will probably be in the spring when the customer runs out of brakes and breaks the rear axle. That is a really nice car!

There are other thermostat housings available for Mopars that are shorter.
Look at the water outlet housing for a 2010 dodge ram, 5.7, they are shorter, not sure the dimensions u need
That thermostat water neck looks terrible being vertical.
Rich look at the big block chevy water neck may work better for you instead of coming straight up
