This was on the B side of the 45 mini LP release of Alive and Kicking. Released in the States in the fall of 1985. I remember it well. I used to play this live version in my dorm room in college, as often as I could. As loud as I could. Funny thing; in the next dorm building another guy used to play U2's New Years Day. Between the two of us, we had a great time. If there is a Heaven , then I hope this is one of the songs played there.
the keyboards have a cool and catchy phrase, but it's really the drums that make this such a tight song- which is actually due to the master of Funk, Herbie Hancock's work on New Gold Dreams, but they have someone sitting in on this vid. You'll remember him from his popular 80's track "Rock It."
I recorded this version from the radio on a blue scotch casette tape back in about the summer of 85.. I played it for many years.. This was the first time seeing the video.. It's funny cause it's almost like Deja vu..thanks for posting..cheers

The audio track was 'tricked' up in Cubase SX and T-Racks. The original mono audio was quite muddy.
