- A quick two minute tutorial on how to parent your premade clothing from Gumroad or any other site to your VRChat avatar.
I'm sure this tutorial has been made a million times but I wanted to make a concise video on how to do it in about 2 minutes. I dislike the whole "Lets make a 15 minute video bs"
I'm gonna do a whole series on this and keep it all between 1-5 minutes each video so you can get the info you need and get back to creating.
You can get the shark hoodie made for the kita avatar at the link below ^^

everybody else made it so complicated THANK YOU SO MUCH
Wow this is the only one that actually got to the point and helped me. Thank you.
Yee. Idk how many tutorials I've gone through that took 20 minutes to teach this or other basic stuff, lol
I'll subscribe cuz this is SO good. I don't know how people learn this stuff but this is so amazing without this tutorial i was so doomed.
You are a saint
Okay, But how to export it?
how do i keep the bones
Im confused will it be a completly seperate avatar? I wanna put the outfit on my main avatar
im still wondering whats the difference attaching Clothes in Blender vs Unity.... because they both work X-D
It's more optimized when done this way, reduces file size as well
hi!! i am trying to figure out how to add the texture png that came with my fbx file outfit to show up :3 any tips? (instead of the grey)
Normally I just add it in unity
It will work only with prepared objects ((( But if you have just random model without armature?
This is made for Avatars, specifically vrchat avatars. Anything in blender if you want one object to deform with another, it needs an armature
i know this is an older vid, but would the cloths still be toggleable even if they are attached this way?
Yes, so as long as the mesh is kept separate (as in you don't join them together and they appear as one object in the outliner) you can still toggle the skinned mesh render for the object or do a material toggle to make it invisible in Unity
I can’t find the wrench icon under the box one
u might be slecting the rig and thats why you cant see it. Click on the mesh ( your model), not the rig and ti should appear now
bro the hoodie is prefeclty pose to the avatar what happens if the clothing has not armture and is not posed right then what ?
You are referring to clothing "not" made for a specific avatar. You would have to attatch it to the avatar models armature and then "rig" it by weight painting it. You can use automatic weights which can get you close and then touch everything up. Thats an entire concept in 3D art though. I would look for tutorials on that if you wish to do something like that
Shoes??
Depending on the model, there's not much that deforms in most avatar's foot area's unless you have rigged toes. Technically could parent the object positionally in unity to the bone, or you could weight paint it directly to the avatar in blender.
@@zoobenooelgenubi3699 oh okie ty
Don't tell u secrets
xD not really a secret. It's a tutorial thats been made a bunch of times, I'm just doing my own version of it that's both visual and more concise (I hope) :p
@@Zoobenoo shhhh I give u coffee
