Oh my GOD! This would've saved me SO MUCH TIME a week ago. You go Pxinky. I'm your biggest fan.
Really helpful as I've had so many issues with importing from blender when adding clothes, thank you so much!
Pinky coming in clutch as always! Keep up the good work!
Thanks to this tutorial, in half an hour I learned what I'd been struggling to figure out for two days. PxINKY YOU'RE A LIFESAVER!
Glad I could help!
what a great video, i love coming to your channel for help!!
awesome as always!
You fr keep me sane when working in unity
🫡
your videos are amazing thank you its hard to find people that with help me with avis so im learning to do it myself
tenk u so much for creating dis wonderful tutorial!
...Seems like VRCFury is taking over as a great middleware system for avatars.
Thank you very much!
This helped thank you had to skip the gesture manager part as it was just not working well with the avatar makes doing it by hand a thing of the past.
I don't know if the option was there from the start, but if you got multiple clothes sets, you can use "Toggle" and "Flipbook builder" option to cycle between them.
I love you platonically. thank you
Yo.. for real tysm this helped me so much. after seeing how to do my head just started working by itselfand was like.. mhmm then this is how it should be to take off clothes and change blendshapes. i kinda have it figured out thanks to u. thank you so much will definitely come back so i dont forget. does this work if i wanna add like accessories to body/head/ears? thats only for future ofc hahaha still have lots to learn
Why did I read it as Vrc Furry lol. But this is so useful, thanks
“breasts is booba” Truer words have yet to be spoken.
OMG TYSM
This video will help me a lot.
I've played VRChat for some time, and now I'm starting to buy some avatars and some clothing, but I got ZERO knowledge at all of how to retexture, add stuff on Unity, etc.
Could you make a video explaining how to add multiple clothing to one avatar and how would it be done to manage the toggles of them?
This tutorial is just that! this will easily work with multiple outfits
all you have to do is change the menu names and such!
that being said, id 100% suggest learning how it works without scripts first to get a better fundamental grasp on avatar creation!
@@PxINKY I tried to set up some avatars... the first few times it didn't went well, but now I'm managing to do it, and change oke thing or another
I want to learn how to retexture now... Some avatars are pretty simple, but for full retexture may take more effort lmao
@@nkriomoi I plan to eventually go over retexturing avatars soon!
@@PxINKY It would be awesome
Also, I really like your videos, and the ones about VRC avatars helped me a lot
I wish you much success
can you make a video of how to remove some toggles that you dont want in your avatar menu?
thanks wimker
Np wimker :3
ayee, would've helped a ton some hours ago ngl mwehhe, also can u show off mor eabout vrcfury? just saw that it can "unhide" clothing that you add to your head (together with the new vrc unity 2021 update for unhiding your head n snoot n such)
i plan to eventually go over every vrcfury component
3:32 helped lots
What if I have an avatar that is T posing, and the clothing I wish to put on is at an A pose? Are those able to attach to each other? Or do the clothes and the avatar have to be aliened up perfectly?
you can pose the armature, then apply the pose, then delete the armature
Would this also work on Vroid models? Im not the best at using Blender and if I can do everything through Unity that would be great.
i love you
Thank you ruben2514, very cool!
A tutorial on how to put dances or animations with VRCFury while adding sounds would be interesting.
Ill note that down
This tutorial was a big help! But im having a problem with the chest physbones not moving the clothing with the chest. So it causes the chest to clip through clothing rather than the clothes moving with the chest.
Is there a way to fix this?
Heya! How do i do the steps above if I don't really have one entire outfit as a toggle but individual parts to piece together into one outfit?
what if the clothing that I added doesn't have blend shapes set up, only the body?
thats what i need to know too. as the body is working with blend shapes just fine, but when i try to find the blend shapes on the cloths, they are not there, so i cant find and fix the issues.
Check my "how to make blendshapes" tutorial!
You can easily add and shape them in blender, then export back to unity
i think i may have found out whats up.
go into blender after you have put for outfit in it, click on your outfit.
got to Data: object data properties ( it will look like a weird upside down green triangle.
under the Vertex Grounds tab, there is a Shape Keys tap
if Shape Keys box is full of words, that means its okay.
but if your Shape Keys box is empty, that means the creator didnt make any of the extra shapekeys for it, and you will have to do it yourself.
i hope this helps.
@@cavebearking5321 thank u so much!
Can i change the icons i the menu created by vrc fury ?
Question: The avi I have has blendshapes but everything is already set so I don't use any blendshapes with this avatar in game. Do I skip the Blendshape Link for this and go straight to Toggle?
If its already set up / doesnt have any kind of body blendshapes then yes!
@@PxINKY Yay! Thank chu! *gives a cookie* 🍪
Thank you, I want to add a maid outfit to my Nova. Will this work the same way to make it Quest compatible?
You will need to edit it to remove the physbones, but otherwise there should be a vrcfury prefab already created!
is mapping nessasary for toggles?
when you add shoes what bone are you supposed to attach them to? it says left foot and right foot but not both
You would want IDEALY it to have the full leg armature from hips
if there is only 2 bones (left foot, right foot) then you would attach left foot to left foot, then make another armature link, and attach right foot to right foot
Is it okay that I just added a toggle to turn one mesh on and off for the other, instead of using blendshapes at all?
If your avatar has any kind of body shape sliders then youll run into issues. But otherwise yeah
How Do you adjust the sleeves? The free sources I find are in A-Pose and you have your character in T-Pose.
Thanks in Advance!
You would follow my fitting guide, as it sounds like your clothing isnt made for your armature
If you want to fit it easily you can pose the bones in blender and set the pose as rest
can you do a vid of adding a hair toggle on the novabeast plz ;-;
Already have a hair tutorial. And this video would work just the same for hair
Is there a way to make it so that it keeps the clothes toggled on when i switch avatars instead of reseting my toggles? other than that great tutorial really helped me out!
I forgot to go over it, but under the options click "Saved Between Worlds"
@@PxINKY Where can i find the options for that, im trying to find it but idk where to look ;-;
nvm found it, thanks for the help, really appreciate it!!!
Could you possible make a ''custom toggle animations'' vid one day
What would this include? i already have an older video that goes over basic toggles
@@PxINKY some people have custom animations whenever you switch clothes in vrchat. The clothing like dissolves away and appears.
can also be done with vrcfury :)
@@hexerade.e6142 oh?
I like to use male booth avatars, should I use this or should I use modular avatar?
It really depends, but personally i find VRCFury easier, but if either work then its personal choice!
hey, can u help me? For some reason, i do all the tutorial correctly, but when i go to the game, "works", but when i walk the cloth dont follow the avatar, or follow with a BIG delay, and if i crouch, the cloth dont follow too, stays on the position that when im stand, how to fix it?
This means you connected the clothing wrong or it didn't come with an armature
@@PxINKY i fixed, i used the normal and old method using blender ^^
I have an issue, I am working on attaching a wickerbeast hoodie to my wickerbeast and in the blendshapes for it there is no hide slider. Anyone that can help me?
You can make your own blendshape! (Tutorial for that on my channel)
Alternitively if you are just wanting to toggle the hooding on/off just use an object toggle
My toggles tend to untoggle when I change instances, any idea why and how I can fix it?
Make sure to go to "options" and hit "save between worlds"
I would love it if I could see what you're typing in the toggle section.
Appologys, i did put up a graphic to show what i typed however.
Just sucks blenders ui is right on my character :/
@@PxINKY I somehow from the glimpse of what i could see/ understand, did it 😭 This was the one tutorial i was relying heavy on because the other ones are outdated. IRREGARDLESS than you for having an up to date tutorial
@@PxINKY is there anyway you can make a update video for the toggles can see what it is your telling us to do for the add a action was not able to find it on my project
I hate it when I have to remind unity that breasts is Booba
Fr, jeez unity 🙄
First piece of clothing I did this for worked perfect, second one just does not show up in playmode and I have no clue why ;-;
does it show up as malformed in the body? if so try changing your settings on the VRCFury prefab
more info here: vrcfury.com/components/armature-link/
I have no idea why but it stopped working for me and when I try using it with my Avi the breast bones aren't working
This can happen depending on the way you chose to apply it. Id suggest asking for help in the vrcfury discord, they are super knowledgeable!
Not bad. Though as unfortunate as it is, I don't see a lot of in depth technical stuff for which Udon can be used. There's just way too many limitations that make dynamic world building very difficult.
what would someone do if the clothes attached look backwards in world?
Flip the normals, search how to do so on blender docs
@@PxINKY thank you for the response
Do I have to reupload it? Stupid question sorry.
If you ever add anything new to a model, you will always need to refresh the upload
@@PxINKY Thanks homie :)
can you do this with ANY avatar? Humanoid posssibly?
As long as the armature / outfit is made for your specific base / rig then yes!
Otherwise youll need to refit the outfit to your armature (i have a video for this too)
@@PxINKY thank you!
How do you feel about modular avatar?
Ive only used it once, i dont know much about it.
but if its worth looking into i wouldnt mind ^-^
@@PxINKY I've haven't got to use it yet but I'm told its really good. Also told it merges bones so you don't end up with a bunch of duplicates like you would with vrcfury
@@albasu_ unless im mistaken, i believe skin rewrite that vrcfury uses does that already
But ill look into it ^-^
@@PxINKY I'm still new to it all so I'm not sure. Your videos have been super helpful though
@@albasu_ vrcfury only adds bones that don't have matching bones on the base avatar. So if you're using the same rig on the clothing and avi, then nothing new is added. It just re-parents the clothes to the base model's armature, discarding the armature already on the clothes. If the clothes have bones for things like pull strings or something, yeah those are added in because the base avi doesn't have those. The rest gets merged normally.
it diddnt work idk why
You most likely did something wrong OR used the wrong settings, you can either try reading the DOCS or asking for help on their discord server
@@PxINKY No, I did it right, But i asked in the server I diddnt know I had to enter play mode to do it, i was used to old vrc fury where it would do it after you connected it
brooo please slow down im a nood :(
Sorry, I try my best to make this as user friendly as possible. I do talk a little fast but thats just something i cant really change, its how my brain works.
if you find my content too fast pace there are plenty of other amazing creators I could recommend!
Just slow down the tutorial using video settings
what.
what.
@@PxINKYThe tutorial was helpful, im just too new to understand it. 😂
Btw I saw you made a video on how to turn the avatar quest… you think there are better or faster ways to do it?
@@PutYourUser There may be, but i wouldnt know / use them
If i find anything good ill probably make a video on it!
@@PxINKY thank you so much
