Turning off HDCP is a tough one. I vibe to music while gaming through Apple Music but if it really helps in playing competitive games like COD & Sparking Zero then I’ll consider turning it off.

That doesn't affect the time to ADS, but the speed of camera, if you noticed the graphs, both Gradual and Instant slow down to max at the same spot, the gradual starts slowing down a bit earlier, in fact, that's the option doing the transition faster...
If you look at any of the pro players settings they’re all using instant so what does that tell you? They’re going to use whatever gives u the most competitive edge……..

I play with the dualsense Edge on ps5 but I kill more with the normal dualsense 😅 and I even notice that it works better with the normal controller 😭 my duelanse edge is new... they give me some configuration 🤘🏽
Hi, yeah I sometimes have similar experience in games, there are games I refuse to play with edge (such as OW2) it just feels better with DualSense to me, after all, the delay between them is not that high, comfort and how you feel is more important!
Ever since BO6 came out, I've been having ridiculous input lag, my Bluetooth SONY PULSE headset will turn off and turn back on for seconds, my left thumbstick will turn to the left drastically mid game for a second or two and then it goes back to normal! I use dual sense EDGE and I just replaced the left and right stick modules. Any idea what could cause it?

I recently got the Edge and have always used the Dynamic curve in COD. But aiming feels different with the Edge even with both sticks set to the default curves. Does the Right stick set to Dynamic -5 as you mentioned make the Edge feel more like the regular controller even with the in game curve set to Dynamic? Thanks! Love your videos!

Hi, the input delay affects across all controller actions, but what I mainly test mostly are buttons as they're easier to monitor compared to analog stick which is so hard to keep it on a fixed value and change at a time.
Nice analysis, However I switch to Mouse and keyboard for Black ops 6 so I don't have to worry about stick drift (Im still on the PS5 and i do want to see if Mouse has acceleration regardless if its off via game settings or if changing the mouse polling rate via software does affect the mouse) Obviously i don't want you to make a full video for it but i also wouldn't mind if you just put it as a single tip for the other black ops 6 settings tips (9 Controller settings tested and 1 Mouse and keyboard tested)

I have a question and I just might not fully understand what I’m talking about so it might be a dumb question or it might not but my question is If I put my setting from 1080p to 1440p I am of the understanding based off of what you said in this video that it will lower the input delay on the controller correct ? And my second question is what gets lower input delay on our monitors 1080p or 1440p because I have always had the option of playing on 1440p but always chose 1080p because my understanding is that 1080p was better for performance and that playing on 1440p on a game like cod might make it look better but will increase the input delay on your monitor but now it might not apply to this cod maybe ? ik your testing controller in this video but things get a little bit confusing here Can you please help me on that and thanks for these very informative and helpful videos I look forward to joining your yt membership
Hi, for the controller response, higher resolution worked better for us, but the game also didn't have any better performance in 1080p either (FPS or response). But sometimes, a monitor may respond better in 1080p with less input delay (which is really unlikely) in those cases that's the reason why 1080p feels smoother to some people.
Are you sure turning off Bluetooth completely has more input delay. When I turn it off and press my PS button it connects almost instantly. When it’s on, it takes about 2 seconds to connect
Hi, the last time we tested that it had a significant impact of over 10ms on average, however we can try it again later on PS5 Pro too, about the connection, have you changed communication method to use USB Cable in the settings? if not, your controller still uses Bluetooth even with USB Connection.
Hi, no need, weak does the job, off is only 2ms slower, you can still get less delay by console haptic + in game vibration while keeping controller vibration off.

Hi, here's best based on my knowledge: Haptic ON Game Vibration On Controller Vibration Weak - Off is fine too only a bit higher delay. The other video was based on beta, and now things are different, the beta was different.

Great vid as always. Does anyone else use Precision Rings along with a Kontrol Freek on the DualSense Edge on the right stick? I’m struggling to find a Precision Ring that fits nicely as the Kontrol Freek always pokes into it, causing it to change shape
Highly recommend ditching the precision ring and fine tuning your settings to get that feel. Reason being is your precision ring will deteriorate over time and your sense will essentially adjust itself. Consistency is key to build that muscle memory. Just a suggestion. The Kontrol Freaks are amazing. Always rock the inferno 🔥
Hi, based on the newest test we did the difference was around 1ms, we would say do not consider that and call it the same, as if we do over 100 tests, they'll get even closer, so HDR is fine
I thought bluetooth being off with the connection method on usb was the lowest input delay. Is that only for BO6 or all games? I use DSE wired so should I turn on bluetooth and keep the connection to USB only? 0:40
Hi, we thought the same, because UI felts faster first, but the delay was noticeably higher, so I'd still recommend BT being ON while using USB cable, I'm not sure about other games, but console settings are typically universal, for example, haptic feedback always helped.

Thanks! since aim assist works differently in BO6, I'm still unsure if MW3 videos are valid here, so I'd need to test them again and see how it works, the FOV settings are valid.
it might be due to forcing PS5 requesting more polling rate to sync it with the game faster, however from newer tests we made, both Weak and off have similar results, yet weak is a bit faster (still)...

Why are you not a fan of the triggers being shortened? A shortened trigger allows more presses. Yes in some of your tests excessive tapping in a limited time can cause lost inputs, but not in a situation where you’re playing Fortnite and have to aim and click a trigger to shoot someone?

@@StakosGS from many tests we made, BO6 doesn't request that much of polling rate, so the reduction is ineffective, as the game doesn't use it either way.

Hello Mr.danial i have a question i was hoping you could help me because for some reason i feel as if my character on call of duty is moving alot slower than others and at times it feels like im moving in slow motion compared to my friends who are also on ps5 and im not sure if its lag or delay but i run and ethernet cable and my speeds are in the 800 to 900 range so im not sure what it is also i dont know if this is important or not but whenever i die my character gets stuck half way in the ground for some odd reason i dont know if that means the game is trying to register whats going on and it cant do it fast enough or what it means at all really but i was hoping you maybe had some advice or a solution because i feel like ive tried everything and gotten nowhere so far..
Hi, there are multiple things that can cause that: 1- other devices using the same router and downloading / uploading. 2- low quality connection (ISP needs to check and Fix that) 3- a BAD cable or distance between Router to console (if You're on Wi-Fi) you can start by trying to use internet only on your PS5 and disconnect other devices and if the issue was fixed, then the first one is the reason.
Hi, sometimes yes, however, you would notice a bad cable by a simple speed and ping test compared to wireless test. you can also always try 2 different cables if you have problems with Cable and see if it helps.
I don’t know why but when I play on a ps4 controller on the ps4 version it feels like I get more aim assist then when I play on ps5 version with the edge controller 120hz. Can you do a test on that. And do you know why my edge controller stays on the profile menu, because I can’t play any game right now because of that.

Hi, best is having both game and haptic on, and controller vibration could be either weak or off (off is around 1.5-2ms higher, but worth it if you don't like vibration)

it's how your stick reflects the movement in the game, a perfect circle will be identical in every part when pushing it, however most older analog sticks were rectangular, so that still feels more comfortable to many, instead of a perfect circle...
Hi, HDR affection is very low, I would say use what you like unless the game looks better with SDR. in most cases when doing 100 test instead of 10 results get close to each other in less than 1.5ms.

Hi, I'm testing back ports now, yet it seems the front type-C port is the fastest, but back ports are very close too, no problem, only 2ms difference.

Highly recommend ditching the precision ring and fine tuning your settings to get that feel. Reason being is your precision ring will deteriorate over time and your sense will essentially adjust itself. Consistency is key to build that muscle memory. Just a suggestion. The Kontrol Freaks are amazing. Always rock the inferno 🔥

Hi, based on the newest test we did the difference was around 1ms, we would say do not consider that and call it the same, as if we do over 100 tests, they'll get even closer, so HDR is fine

I thought bluetooth being off with the connection method on usb was the lowest input delay. Is that only for BO6 or all games? I use DSE wired so should I turn on bluetooth and keep the connection to USB only? 0:40
Hi, we thought the same, because UI felts faster first, but the delay was noticeably higher, so I'd still recommend BT being ON while using USB cable, I'm not sure about other games, but console settings are typically universal, for example, haptic feedback always helped.

it might be due to forcing PS5 requesting more polling rate to sync it with the game faster, however from newer tests we made, both Weak and off have similar results, yet weak is a bit faster (still)...

You're welcome! the closest you can get is linear with slope scale on 0 but still it wouldn't be linear, it has an exponential effect.

Hi, you can use any curve you like in game but if Edge doesn't feel right try Dynamic -5 and see how it goes, its based on a test we made in the past to make it similar to DualSense feeling
About the back ports, since they're 10Gbps too, our guess is they're as fast, but we'll test it in future video.

Why are you not a fan of the triggers being shortened? A shortened trigger allows more presses. Yes in some of your tests excessive tapping in a limited time can cause lost inputs, but not in a situation where you’re playing Fortnite and have to aim and click a trigger to shoot someone?

@@StakosGS from many tests we made, BO6 doesn't request that much of polling rate, so the reduction is ineffective, as the game doesn't use it either way.

Hello Mr.danial i have a question i was hoping you could help me because for some reason i feel as if my character on call of duty is moving alot slower than others and at times it feels like im moving in slow motion compared to my friends who are also on ps5 and im not sure if its lag or delay but i run and ethernet cable and my speeds are in the 800 to 900 range so im not sure what it is also i dont know if this is important or not but whenever i die my character gets stuck half way in the ground for some odd reason i dont know if that means the game is trying to register whats going on and it cant do it fast enough or what it means at all really but i was hoping you maybe had some advice or a solution because i feel like ive tried everything and gotten nowhere so far..

i’m having packet loss problems while on good latency, you know any fixes to that?
Hi, there are multiple things that can cause that:
1- other devices using the same router and downloading / uploading.
2- low quality connection (ISP needs to check and Fix that)
3- a BAD cable or distance between Router to console (if You're on Wi-Fi)
you can start by trying to use internet only on your PS5 and disconnect other devices and if the issue was fixed, then the first one is the reason.

Hi, sometimes yes, however, you would notice a bad cable by a simple speed and ping test compared to wireless test. you can also always try 2 different cables if you have problems with Cable and see if it helps.

Hi, best is having both game and haptic on, and controller vibration could be either weak or off (off is around 1.5-2ms higher, but worth it if you don't like vibration)

Hi, HDR affection is very low, I would say use what you like unless the game looks better with SDR. in most cases when doing 100 test instead of 10 results get close to each other in less than 1.5ms.
