I just traded for a new VP9 a couple of weeks ago. After 50 rounds I knew it was a keeper. After 100 I fell in love. After 200 it became my favorite handgun. I now have 550 rounds through it and I love it even more. Just did a review on my channel. For me personally, an out-of-the-box VP9 is head and shoulders above the full size M&P, Glock and Sig P320 series and I've owned multiples of all three.
Nice comparison, just subbed. Not sure how I missed your channel, it looks great!
Poe Performance - Of all the pistols you mentioned, which one has the least amount of recoil?
Love the VP9....I own one and my son does also.......2 of my friends tried mine and then they each got one....if you shoot it you will like it.......really liking your channel...keep up the good work
Thank-you. We have encountered a few "If you shoot one you will buy one" guns and the VP9 is one of them (PPQ is another).
russ elder vi shot vp9 and ppq, both great guns but I ended up getting a vp9 tactical, I've put a few thousand rounds through it and no regrets whatsoever
Thank you so much for this review. I have the M&P 9 but am looking at getting the VP9. The trigger was the one thing I wanted to know about , and you covered that extremely well. Thank you so much!
Thank you.
I paid 625.00 for my vp9 about 1 year after it came out from Scheels sporting goods. I wish I got the night sights and extra mag tho because I absolutely love this gun and is one of the few guns I never plan on getting rid of. Over 3000 rounds through it, zero malfunctions, using aluminum, and steel case as well, it eats it all. Accuracy is awesome and I can hit a steel target at 100 yards without to much difficulty. LOVE IT!
you can get the non night sights vp9 for 535 in the metro detroit area. night sights vp9 comes with 3 mags for 675.
nice review, good points for both guns as quality they both deliver, but honestly VP9 just too good as the price as of now $550.00 out the door is the best value in the handgun market today
Thank-you.
HK VP9 is the best pistol.
I'm split between the 1911 & HK VP9.
VP9 is excellent and I've seen them as low as $500 recently. Love mine
other day I saw an LE version (3 mags nights sights) going for $540
RENZ where at!?
Owned both at the same time and still have the VP9.
You always do a great job on the videos and it is appreciated.
Thank-you.
Just picked up the M&P for 399. Too much savings over the HK to pass up - trigger or not. Shot it yesterday and its spot on, plus it feels perfect in my hand compared to my EDC compacts. Great gun, especially at that price, and it'll serve me well as a range gun.
I have them all vp9, m&p, ppq, Glock 19,17 and 34, fns, CZ p01, SIG . This is a great time to buy a quality handgun.if I could only have one it would be the VP9, that being said my favorite off duty carry by far is the m&p 9c with a plus two extension.
Eli R the m&p 9c is a sleeper. I've also owned all the mainstream pistols. The 9c is my favorite all around pistol. Can't wait for the Cz p10s to come out...almost exact same dimensions.
Ok so I have the VP9 and the S&W MP performance series 9mm. I absolutely love them both. But the M&P b/c of the ported slide and barrel is a softer shooting gun and I get back on target faster....I still love both and they will remain part of my collection
I love the h&k VP 9!!.… I'll take the both BUT if only 1the heckler and Koch vp9mm
VP9 all the way!
Good stuff. I prefer the VP9 but they're both great guns. I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the M&P 2.0. Thanks
Thank-you. We plan to review the 2.0 when we can get our paws on one.
I really like my VP9 and prefer it to the much-vaunted PPQ; somehow the PPQ just didn't do it for me (range rental several times). Now there are two "new" contenders to this "which" fun: the M&P 2.0 (reportedly has a better trigger) and the CZ p10C. Any thoughts/experience/inputs on those compared to these?
Buy a GLOCK and keep the HK!
@@JohnDoeEagle1 so your a glock fan i see

28 GLOCK pistols all calibers and models Gen 2, Gen 3 and Gen 4.

No trouble here and it is a common mistake people make lumping all of us GLOCK owners into the same group. We aren't all some neckbeard mallninja in our 20's that wouldn't own anything else. I have owned my first GLOCK Gen 2 G-19 9mm since 1993. It's a great gun along with all the others. By the same token I can be seen carrying, shooting and using older more traditional all metal designs. My first pistol was a Springfield Armory 1911 .45. It's so old it isn't called a Mil-Spec as they are today. The 1911 .45 ACP will always be my first and true love. Also newer shooters forget the first GLOCK pistols didn't appear on U.S. soil until May 1986. I never even saw one in person until about 1989 or 1990. Even then they were new and nobody trusted them yet.
Buy the VP9, PPQ, or the perfect metal framed (DA/SA) CZ 75B. Comparing the VP9 to a Shield is an apples to oranges comparison in terms of HK’s trigger, & overall quality.
I have an opportunity to either buy a new VP9 for $540.00 or a used VP9 that was a loaner at a local gun shop/ range for $470.00. Thoughts from anyone on which one would be the better deal?
Definitely new for that price difference. Gun Range loaners tend to get run hard and often not well maintained, for a $70 difference I would suggest new.
Thanks for the guidance! I greatly appreciate the response and I think that you are correct and I agree!
New definently
Why is he using his index finger for the safety paddle on the H&K? I have one of these and I consider it a thumb paddle.
Release works fine with thump of shooting hand.
If you buy the S&W M&P and intend to upgrade the trigger, you’d be better off with the H&K. Otherwise S&W is competitive price wise
I never liked the huge beavertail on M&P's. The triggers really are atrocious but not a deal breaker for me. I like my battleship grey VP9. I think M&P's suck because you have to modify them to work properly.
I don't like the S&W M&P 1.0 or 2.0 because accuracy sucks on both. They don't print well on paper or at distance. If ringing steel plates at close range is your bag you probably won't notice. Try shooting the 50' Official NRA Bullseye and keeping them all in the black offhand. It ain't gonna happen anytime soon! That HK VP9 and GLOCKs will put 'em all in there if you can shoot!
The M&P full size 9's-they never could get the barrel dimensions right and have hard core crap accuracy. you test them by pulling on the slide as little as possible and see if it wiggles. I have the M&P40 I shoot very well.
M&P accuracy sucks and always has!
@5:17 The VP9's sight picture looks like Mr. Bill.Maybe it's just me. ;)
LOL - it does have a lot going on with shapes and curves back there.
I love my VP9
Love the VP9, but the goodies are so damn expensive lol.
Vp9 and s&w mp 2.0
Can holster be use together ?
15 rounds? I'm a M&P fan, oh and a P320 fan.
I like them both they are expecially better than a Glock
Coming from a GLOCK guy the HK VP9 is hands down better than the S&W M AND P! M&P would be a insult to claim this pistols has any Military tributes and characteristics. S&W needs to abandon this platform and get back to building the World class revolvers they are known for.
The triggers suck, the pistols don't shoot to POA/POI and they are and always will be a cheap inferior knockoff GLOCK copy. The 2.0 version isn't any better than the 1.0 once it boils down to it. Both the GLOCK and HK of Austrian and German heritage outshine and crush it!
VP9 is a great range/competition gun, but I just wouldn't trust it as a duty gun. Maybe a carry gun but I'd rather spend my money on a hammer fired for carry.
That said, I absolutely love my VP9 and modified almost to the extent. Custom metal trigger, reinforced striker pin sleeve, trigger and sear spring upgrade, Heinie sights and a micro comp. Shoots amazing.
I wouldn't trust it after you screwed with it and messed it up either!
Leave it stock....they are well documented to run in excess of 90,000 rounds in that configuration.
VP9 trigger is better than the PPQ.
This review is being awfully generous to the S&W. it's like comparing a BMW to a Honda.
Bad comparison. I’d take a Honda and get another 100k miles over the bmw
m&p trigger is just so god awful id never own one. good shooter though but we all know vp9 all the way
Replace them target as you switch pistol bro. dang..
VP9 all day.
m&p all night
M&P with a Apex trigger kit turns that awful trigger into the best striker fired trigger on the market. Here I thought you couldn't polish a turd, well I spent $120 on the kit and my gosh is it ridiclous. 1911 like.
🇺🇦👍
The HK Vp9 is garbage i stuck mines in water and it hasn't worked since...
"Mines"?!
I think you meant "mine"!
Is that you M.A.C.?
No, just John!
HK VP9 is the best pistol.
I'm split between the 1911 & HK VP9.
Andrew Tanchyk, I have a kimber .45 tle/II. LOVE HER. But carrying her is tough. Heavy, expensive and accurate. Can't go wrong with the hk for carrying.
