- Singapore's position as a global leader in semiconductors has received a S$2.65 billion boost. Local start-up Silicon Box has set up what is being touted as the world's most advanced semiconductor factory in Singapore, making products that can be applied in areas from artificial intelligence to electrical vehicles. The factory in Tampines is also expected to create more than a thousand jobs.
