I like the way the light comes in above the kitchen shelves. I wonder if this extends into the bathroom? It would have been nice to see a picture of the roof, skylight, and drain from the top.
Very innovative. I know people who build and design things. Backing the cabin into the hillside is a brilliant way to moderate heating needs as the whole cabin would likely maintain a minimum temperature of 55%. I used to be a spelunker, so I know what that feels like! However, heating a space when it starts at level well above freezing is a big benefit, as is having the sliding glass doors that face the sun, as the heat soaks into the concrete parts of the construction and releases the heat after the sun goes down. The bed area also reminds me of old fashioned practice of hanging heavy draperies all around the bed to hold heat in during the night. Lots of people in the world live in homes as small as this. I lived in a studio which was probably about this size and I really liked it, The storage ideas are smart and well concealed. I would have enjoyed seeing more. Thank you!
I lived in a concrete house built in the 1940s in Arizona. Just remember, it’s very hard to hang a painting. 😂. Frank Lloyd Wright made organic architecture that would have worked well for this site. He used local rock exposed in the concrete that gives a cozier vibe. I do love the rusted metal though.
First thing you buy with a house like this is a rotary hammer drill and a boatload of wedge anchors. I can hang a painting or a boat from my walls - makes zero difference.
Could you not spring for a voice actor to read the text instead of using AI? The parts where AI doesn't get the natural human cadence are very irritating and jarring.
He does not understand the definition of natural, ecological green that they give to this project, before there were rocks, trees and grass and now there is a cement box etc... what does that have to do with ecological
Concrete does not blend in with the natural landscape at all. A lightweight construction would have been ideal, using wood, for example. Apart from saving on materials and labour, they would also save on meaningless narrative.
The filming is all rather vague as it doesn’t show us the interior details properly, especially the heating, kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping area. And what about water, power, and waste?? All far too vague
Summary of the video for those new to architecture: A ugly piece of modern concrete disfiguring mother nature. A coherent, durable result could have been achieved with natural materials such as stone and wood but of course it would have required more than one week to build it...
It’s still just brutalist architecture. Concrete and steel do not exist in nature. It is not harmonious. Yes, it may be practical, given the weather conditions locally, yet concrete ceilings is simply bad condo construction
some people are so negative, I found it so beautiful. love it
I agree and it is wildfire proof!
One of the things that scares me the most living out in the woods is wildfires. 🔥
I think it's very harmonious with the environment. Beautiful cabin.

Beautiful place 👍
Absolutely love this ❤ I could move in tomorrow!
Love the cabin and the music.
Love it. Thank you
Gracias 🎉
I really like the design and the materials used but not sure how it blends in nature.
I've seen this cabin up close. Its on a very small lot.
This building looks about as natural as the voice describing it
Concrete and steel come from the ground so I would consider that nature but I'm sure a know I all purest wouldn't have the capacity to think of that.
Juuuust right.

Not to mention the voice over text is repetitive and boring. The cabin is gorgeous, though.
When did folks get so thin skinned and whiny? 🤦🏼♀️✌🏼
The cast in walls allow for water transport into the structure leading to mold and degradation m
Heard of these things called vents ? and Plastic ? Lots of ways to stop that.
Dear A I voice: concrete is not natural, nor does it look natural. Go od b ye.
My thoughts too.

Each to their own. Long view, that structure will still be there when your lightweight structure has gone and with comparably less maintenance too.

Ya, ummm cement , steel & Nature . Not really. folks can think is blends , nope.
@racebannings6390 fortunately it's not your decision.

Its much more than that. You missed it.
@ no. I did not miss “it”….
@gregorymoats4007 to each their own

@gregorymoats4007 oh yeah you missed it big time.
