I love the fading on the exterior. It really makes the home feel like it is part of environment around it, rather than sort of "fighting" it like most homes do.
I watch a lot of these architecture/interior design videos. And this is by far one of the most comprehensive tours I've seen. Down to earth, layman terms that I'm sure can speak to architects, designers or regular people like myself. Excellent work! Thank you!!
Great build. Love the high contrast of the material inside. Looks like a wonderful place to relax and enjoy your surroundings! And that fireplace is just extra, for sure.
My house is just over 1000 sqft at 1200. But its got a full living room, kitchen, 2 full baths and a half, 3 bed rooms. Why does it seem like this house has way less room then a normal suburban house? Is the garage being counted as part of the living space?
Oooh that's a beautiful house I could easily live in this one...I love being able to see outside but I'm hoping the glass is that insulated one otherwise it'd be hard to keep warm...thankyou for sharing 💜
It's neat and I love all the windows and how you feel like you're outside, but I wouldn't describe this as cozy. I personally couldn't live here, but it would be a neat place to stay.
Very well done! Beautiful location of course as well. If I could swing it, I could live in a small home or cabin, but I'm spoken for looking after my grandson for a couple of years. Then, maybe. Or a big old RV. I love these videos though.
That is the nicest house I have ever seen. I have too much stuff and I know I will always have too much stuff. But with that house I would have no trouble well maybe some trouble but I think I would give up a lot of my stuff. And it’s a shame they don’t build those houses here in New Jersey.
with the shutters, instead of manually moving them, they should get strong magnets on either side so they could pull them along through the window, requires no power
Hello oomorei dear friend I hope you are fine . I guess you are interested in architecture and villa design. If you are interested in these topics I'm glad you visit my channel Our team uploads new videos every day, I am sure you will like them
That is a very interesting cabin, for sure! But my burning question is this: in an area that gets a lot of snow, why have a flat roof? Is the roof possibly heated in the winter, with a drain system to catch the snowmelt? Or... ?
Hi, in Quebec where the project is being built, the structures take into account significant snowloads, on the other hand it is not unusual for the roofs to be cleared of snow by their owners. Although pitched roofs are dominant in these landscapes and make sens maintenance wise, more and more architectural proposals are topped with flat roofs.
in norway that can be done for a cabin. it's not allowed for a house. the problem is the lack of insulation. i have sen some making something similar. they needed to use 3-4cm of Thermocert type material. it makes the windows opaque.
Brilliant and great use of space ! - very much what we want to build in the Eastern Townships in 2023. We will come for a short stay to explore and contact your architect !
Hi John, Emily here. Would love to host you. You can email us for more info as we are building a larger project as well and have some spaces in the eastern townships.
Three things...Radiant heat in the floors, wood storage next to the firebox, Air intake to the firebox running under the floor to the outside so you don't suck warm air inside up the flu.
Did I miss it - how the house is powered? i.e. is it connected to "mains" somehow, or solar, or something else? And what about waste/sewage - how is that disposed of?
Very nice design. However, in the winter, the windows are not that efficient...l'd probably have to increase the temp just to offset the psychological/visual impact of the snow. Radiant floor heating certainly helps.
Nice house, love the windows on the days. But on the evenings I would just wait for Jason to come and push his hockey mask against the window.😅 I would have had electric shutters, so I could close them at night, for privacy and extra security.
Hi, you realy created a nice, minimalist place. I lived in similar houses before, and the problem was always to prevent birds from flying against the big windows and kill themselves. We had to glue black "bird stickers" on the windows. Do you have the same problem? Thanks and greetings from Andreas, South of France
That sauna is the best one I've ever seen, it's perfect! But I must say that the roof of the house really needs to be a green one, especially in a location like that.
Greetings from oakville there's several of these homes here one is located outside of the downtown area of oakville called the glass house on Raynor Street thanks for the presentation
Neat. One drawback I see is crawling over the other person to get out of bed. Especially at night or if one sleeps longer than the other. Is there an avenue I don't see?
The house is incredible; so, so beautiful!!! I live in Southern BC; I might actually consider braving Quebec winters to live in one of your houses! Nicely done.
Beautiful minimalist design 1000 square foot house with gray cedar wood exterior. The exterior movable shutters shading on tracks are really good and the LED lighting. I would skip the TVs and just have Apple tablets for internet. Does it have off grid photovoltaic power? Merry Christmas!
I have got to share this with my students at the Faculty of Architecture! Exactly - Cozy minimalism. So peaceful, functional, and warm.(Opening the bathroom door caught me off guard. How lovely!)
Great job. Carbon is not a problem. Pollution is. LED lights are not good for people, but otherwise it’s lovely, albeit a little stark for my personal taste.
That cabin looks like a million bucks, literally. I like the way the rich live and I like the way I live when I'm with them. I guess this is made to be some type of prototype showcase house because if it gets booked 150 times a year that means no one is living there, just staying. All the storage (which is great) is largely unnecessary considering the way the place is currently being used.
we have enjoyed this model so much!!! nice video and lovely place!!!! if may add a touch if it was my cabin, I would continue with window wall in the hall .... it really makes a world diference having the forest as limitless wall . IN my country, Spain , is hard to find a property close to a city with permission to build such a beauty.... too bad!! good luck guys in your journey,
Have your company redesign the house with the shutters on the inside, but have the shutters install as window shades (the shade would be pulled down from the top to the edge of the floor), therefore you wouldn't have to go outside to push the shutters. Redesign by putting a bathtub in and shower combination.

Only thing missing for me would be a nice soaker tub with those amazing views. Absolutely LOVE the minimalism
I love this build. The layout and materials are stunning. Not much better out there than industrial flooring with lots of natural light 💝
I love the fading on the exterior. It really makes the home feel like it is part of environment around it, rather than sort of "fighting" it like most homes do.
Thank you for caring about sustainability and local products! Well done!
Oh wow this is stunning
Nice. I like seeing the car from inside the house. It's all cozy and protected from the elements.
What an amazing building. It's close to perfect
I watch a lot of these architecture/interior design videos. And this is by far one of the most comprehensive tours I've seen. Down to earth, layman terms that I'm sure can speak to architects, designers or regular people like myself. Excellent work! Thank you!!
It’s a beautiful tiny house with huge windows. It gives you the feeling of having indoor-outdoor nature attachment
This is the same size as an average European home so it's not a tiny house by any stretch of the imagination.
I love everything about this home. Beautiful!
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! I would live there in a heartbeat! WELL DONE!!!!
Great build. Love the high contrast of the material inside. Looks like a wonderful place to relax and enjoy your surroundings! And that fireplace is just extra, for sure.

that sums it up nicely :)
Its an airbnb so yeah
Really nice interior materials and layout.
Home sweet home!!! 😍🤩

Yeah I don't think Jersey is the best setting for this kind of house!
I love this beautiful space. It's gorgeous.
Wow. Thanks for the inspiration!
Brilliant….minimalist design…really pleasing and functional…
Gorgeous, love it
Beautiful 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰.
with the shutters, instead of manually moving them, they should get strong magnets on either side so they could pull them along through the window, requires no power
Wow! So integrated with nature. Beautiful. Functional. Inviting.
The entrance is not done so well, I would do it in separate way... Just my suggestion.
Such a beautifully designed cabin- house 😍
This is beautiful! Definitely sometime would love to build in the future
Very beautiful! I love it!

@@charlesacton Thank you, Charles, for your reply - much appreciated!
Snow can be an insulator , can actually aid in the winter.
@@charlesacton Would be concerned that if it isn't your PPOR than you might come to visit during the winter and the roof be caved in!
Beautiful
What a dream house!
Love it! ❤
I love this concept.
Very holistic living space tied to the environment in every minimalist detail

This is unique. I like the openness and the layout. Also nice that it's nestled in the woods. Thanks Matt and Danielle ❤
It's wonderful to share out the construction or built-up value
Really beautiful!
Very pretty.
Love this design. Well done

He said floors were radiant
Absolutely love this.
Did I miss it - how the house is powered? i.e. is it connected to "mains" somehow, or solar, or something else? And what about waste/sewage - how is that disposed of?
I was wondering those too but I guess that this is just a some kind of demo unit of their business.
Its not as private as u think they are just 20 meters of the road it is powered like a normal house and has sewage like a normal house too
Very nice design. However, in the winter, the windows are not that efficient...l'd probably have to increase the temp just to offset the psychological/visual impact of the snow. Radiant floor heating certainly helps.

…and 2 Kane Korsos’s.
How much did that cost to build?
Like 2 know that 2! 🏡
Depends on where you buy land, that looks like about 150-180k USD maybe less if self built
Everthing in this house looks perfect except for the sofa and the rug.
So many of these lovely minimal places are just AirB&Bs. I prefer your videos about where people live their daily lives.
I nice hot tub by the sauna would be a great addition.
great taste and attention to detail

Love it! Just need a place for my storage.
This is a super interesting concept. What does a house like this cost in total??
A sensible and inspirational house. Stove is gorgeous.😍
Love the style of this!
Omg !! I love it !! 😀😀
Good looking design.but rooftop seems like trapping snow.during heavy snow weather, rooftop gonna put in test to hold the snow
It's wonderful
merge with nature! yes!
til deer bounce off the window
That sauna is the best one I've ever seen, it's perfect! But I must say that the roof of the house really needs to be a green one, especially in a location like that.
GREAT IDEAS 💡 GREAT EXECUTION AND ALREADY GREAT INTEREST 🤗👍😎…CONGRATS 🎉🎉🎉
Amazing place to stay❤❤
Thanks for checking out the cabin, happy you enjoyed the tour :)
Beautiful house,looks expensive 😉
400$ per night
What are the dimensions of the house? It’s gorgeous!
Greetings from oakville there's several of these homes here one is located outside of the downtown area of oakville called the glass house on Raynor Street thanks for the presentation
wonder if there's in-floor heating in the cement .
He clearly said there is.
All I can think of is that it is a highlighted display case for things watching you in the woods lol.
A peeping Tom's dream! He can open the shades himself.
Love it.
Love it!
Neat. One drawback I see is crawling over the other person to get out of bed. Especially at night or if one sleeps longer than the other. Is there an avenue I don't see?
There’s actually a small ledge around the entire bed, so you can get out without crawling over! 🖤
Beautiful!
what it feels like in the night? when it goes dark in the woods surrounded without moonlight?
The house is incredible; so, so beautiful!!! I live in Southern BC; I might actually consider braving Quebec winters to live in one of your houses! Nicely done.
hey, what is the size(width/length) of this beautiful house?
Looks great, bet it’s still cold in the winter with all that glass.
To each his own. Quite a cabin , Not particularly for me but interesting to see what one can do in limited ultra minimal areas
J'aime cette maison.
То что я хочу!!!!
I have got to share this with my students at the Faculty of Architecture! Exactly - Cozy minimalism. So peaceful, functional, and warm.(Opening the bathroom door caught me off guard. How lovely!)
Whats with the water damage on exterior end?
Looks nice. 🏠🏠🏠
I like it, id paint differently
This is luxurious living ! I hope I'll have helps to build a tiny house😓
Cool place and I to love the shutters but I'd put them on the inside. Can't anyone walking around in the forest walk up and slide them open?
Great job. Carbon is not a problem. Pollution is. LED lights are not good for people, but otherwise it’s lovely, albeit a little stark for my personal taste.
nice
beautiful. my instinct says the flat roof is a liability but would love to be educated.

あの木のスライドブラインドは、日本の「雨戸」に似ていてとても親近感を覚えました
Nice 🙂

Beautiful house. If the price is right you guys can become seriously successful!
Looks beautiful, would be an amazing place to stay for a getaway! ^_^
I wouldn't feel safe with all that glass in the House
I would definitely put in bullet proof glass instead 🤭🤣

i guess its designed to move shutters in middle of storm :)
Maybe instead of instructing people how to handle their business, just say what you like and dislike about the space.
