What I love about my 2019 CLS 450 with EQBoost is, the gliding function in ECO mode, which basically puts the car in neutral gear with engine switched off when accelerator is lifted off when travelling on relatively flat surface.
I own a '22 S500 and I am very pleased with the performance and acceleration of the I6 turbo electric. Power of a v8 but smooth as silk. So glad I put the extra $ into options rather than the v8. I had forgotten how silky smooth an I-6 can be with it's natural balance.
love this engine in my cls450. Has so much power that the terrible run flat tires cant put it down from start. Cant wait to get rid of them and see what this car can really do.
Bringing my 2021 AMG 63 GLE S into the dealer in Phoenix tomorrow with electrical issue. Error message says stop the vehicle and charge the battery see the owners manual. 30k miles. Hope it makes the drive over there. Yes it has "EQ Boost".
Hello Do you know if the 300d and 220d versions are equiped with the exact OM 654 M engine or if there are some differences (turbocharging, injectors …) except from the calculator programmation ? Thank you !
This is super cool however why not use the exhaust to spine a turbo connected to a power generator. Vs using the gasoline engine 100% of the time to power the electrics
The core components of the EQ system are the 48V battery and 48V motor/generator. The engine starts with the 48V motor/generator. The AC Compressor & Water Pump run on 48V. So any major fault will prevent an engine start. You may have dash lights/messages from the 12V battery but the vehicle will not run.
@@jamespong6588 it is a reliable system. Im not a hybrid fan but it is pretty neat to help on fuel mileage. I don’t think they needed to install that on a glb though. If we didn’t live near a dealership, I don’t think we would have gotten one for sure though.

Great in theory, but nothing but problems. My E53 coupe has been in the shop more than it's been on the road. Trading back down, for a GLC43 without this 48V battery crap
@@aminemezzour8403 they ended up replacing the 48v battery, took 10 days. I also ended up picking up a 2019 glc43 AMG, fully loaded with every option black/black so I'm happy with that. No 48v battery, and the twin turbo v6 is a fun drive.

I've been looking everywhere for an animation to see what was inside my E450 Sedan. Thanks for this.

A balanced retort to the green left from the engineers here.

Brilliant explanation, thanks so much.😊
Thank you for the video. What was your fuel consumption compared to the EPA? Thank you

please tell me, what kind of fuel do you use?

If the eq boost system fails, the vehice will still drive correct??

@@moosejaw50 that is interesting.
It's not gonna run and it will cost you

Hm.. i had the same issue with the new GLC with 48V tech, sometime just completely shuts down and not starting. Did they take back your E53?
