- What is going on everybody, this is TGA, and in today's video, we're at HMP New Hall, near Wakefield in West Yorkshire, in this video, we are joined by @AY-Audits
This prison is home to one of the most notable female serial killers in British history, Rose West.
I did 5yrs here, then down to Askham grange. Sounds mad but there were some lovely screws in there. I was lucky enough to get onto the drug free unit which was at the back of the jail. I do not miss this place at all but does bring back memories for me. Met some of the most truest loyalist friends in there, who I still see to this day.
We all make mistakes, LEARN FROM THEM😊
I live a couple of miles from this prison. It's a nice place. I would imagine it's a completely different world to inside the walls of HMP New Hall. Never been inside, but I've worked with ex-offenders (still do) and would argue that it isn't an easy a life as many think it would be. Many of the people I've worked with have had exceptionally shitty lives; lives where going to prison was a step up. Hard to believe.
FYI Rose is up in that block to the left of greenhouses.
Ahhh this brings back memories, while I had a 6 month stay , someone hung there self with a curtain, a woman died in her cell because they withdrew her meds for 3 days then give them all bk to her at once and she overdosed, while serving my sentence i also heard the screaming of a girl onspice while she ripped her own veins out , such a lovely back drop to such horrors .
Hi, Iim ex inmate, 1 of the first, transferred from Risley, ..there were only dorms then, had quite a few sentences, was last Iin 2019-2020, and heard all 3 incidents you mentioned, btw, all true..must have been awful. Whilst you're in there, in 2006, I was in the dorms, when a lovely little friend I knew, from Hull, came into the big dorm said she was going back in the kitchen, ..the bathroom, was shared, during the night, one of the women needed the loo, yet found the door difficult to open, once she pushed more, in her half asleep mode, she witnessed the young girl hanging ..the door was difficult to open, as she had put rolled towels as not to want anyone to be so shocked ...I knew this girl btw, she was the loveliest, polite, caring friend, unfortunately, had a habit ...the staff cut her down, and all tried CPR...unfortunately,. She had gone, the officers had counselling ...she wasn't on anything, and showed no signs of being upset, ...she'd been in a few tomes too ...I've witnessed a few similar things, I also knew 2 of the girls that died whilst you were in, both good women,,,..the lady who ripped her veins out, was a friend I I had done a few sentences with ...its an eye opener x,XXX rip all of ..fly high xxx
Jesus Christ, that’s absolutely awful 😢😢I’ve been here many times. There was a screw called Mr Cox, pure pervert, he used to be very touchy feely with us girls which made me feel very uncomfortable I don’t like being touched at the best of times. So I went to the S.O at the time Mr Finch & told him what’s been going on. Of course he didn’t believe me, no way is a senior officer gonna believe me over him. Anyway cutting a long story short, Mr Ian Cox was jailed not long after I was released. He had been touching up the girls on E wing & pru? Don’t know if the pru unit is still there? But yeah he’d been dogging 3 women at the jail. Google it hun, you’ll be surprised 😊

She definitely is at New Hall.
That used to be a detention centre for juvenile male offenders, it had 3 wooden barrack like buildings. It was a tough place to be back then
It certainly was ..Flockton DC ..short sh as rp shock treatment, not like Butlins as I call it compared to the old school jail

That first building is used as a kitchen where prisoners on food orders can leave the prison and use the kitchen to make money and cook for the prison staff. It’s also got a Young Offenders Unit on New Hall Prison.
Not sure who is the fella in the red shirt is, but he spoke with passion.
Yes our Police stations are like fortresses etc.

@@lynnereynolds7380 so have I but apparently she had it easier at her previous jail.
Though it was just making Ewing into rivendell(lifers wing) the last time I went which was some years ago now.
She may have it easy as in the living conditions but I doubt she will have it easy mixing with the other women there unless they are in for similar crimes to her which I've read there's a few child murders in there now.
I read that Rose was gutted when she had to move. She'd been in that jail for years, knew everyone, even got on well with the staff.
They had to ship her out because her old jail was the only woman's jail secure enough for Joanne Dennehy. Dennehy had made serious comments about doing Rose West in and the Prison Service took it very seriously. Apparently Dennehy is considered so dangerous they seriously thought about putting her on seg in a men's jail because the baseline level of security was higher than what the women's system could provide.

I've just got out of there and Franky is on A wing with rose west who has changed her name to Jennifer Jones also where u are talking to the screws if u would have followed the fence to the right u can see A wing, E n F wings are the largest
I was ona wing on my last sentence, glad I wasn't there when Frankie Smith was there, when I was in, Rose West was on the rivendell unit n Sarah Barras who killed 2 kids n tried killing the other 4, was in our maths group ...for 1 day, she was escorted, n on Holly

@@TheGwentAuditorTGA stating auditors are cowards and hide behind cameras suggests Robbie prefers talking with his fists- strange that he only singles out auditors when officers also have criminal records - he appears to be unaware that the force are using audit footage in training now - I am always suspicious of those that blindly lick the thin blue line

You totally missed to part when you walked past those houses those houses are for the prison staff that work at Newhall Prison. Pick my mate up from there a few times. It’s a long road down. Imagine walking the road after being released. Must take a good 20 mins lol
