It is not a place to go to , but we do know why we have prisons , It is their to to protect the public from outside prison , but i did feel sorry for Toni Barker who try to take her own life, Not just her sister being in hospital , it was also to do with not coping in prison because Toni did not want to be in jail. I heard she had pass away sadly
@gavinmartin5151 you have many toni barkers it's because back then we had to detox with pain killers that didn't help and sadly I have say there's many suicidal cases in Newhall I'm bipolar split personality attachment disorder ptsd and add and I have two nervous breakdowns in that jail but ivy was beautiful and I was prolific offender in out from 15 I'm 11 clean last time was in Newhall was 17 yrs ago but it's not just tonis sister many women had deaths couldn't attend funerals or hospital stays sue the priest was lovely helped loads I had some best laughs in that jail but to old now lol 😆

I hated a wing detox back day no methadone just df118 pain killers no tobacco no toiletries but once get in to its OK some of my best times were in Newhall prolific offender I'm 11 yrs clean 20 yrs since jail hope stays that way I'm to old now 😂
Detox is still horrible I just did it at woodhill YO. 5 days of pure hell alone in a cell. No sleep, shakes, can't keep still, sweats, sickness, every bone aches, diarrhea, no way to lie down and get comfortable, worst depression. I wouldn't wish it on anybody even my nonse step dad

when was this filmed i thought it was the early 90's..if so that ginger girl Melissa would only be about 12 or 13 if her date of birth was 1980..that cant be right my birthday is in 1978 and in 93 i was put in redsands secure unit..she wudnt be in a jail like that at 13!!!
When Ivy was booked, she said she was born in 1927 and she is 71. So this was filmed around 1998.
