I got these a week ago and I really like them. Took me some time to get the right buds for my ears and wore them onto my way to work today and I couldn't hear the cars it was awesome. 😊
@Sam Cherkak bc ppl who buy airpods dont care too much about the sound and are only chasing the asthetic. Sound is good but compared to sony...smh. the sennheiser momentum would probably beat the sony. Airpods arent on the same league. They would be competing against galaxy buds, jabara 65t, and their very own power beats pro
@Sam Cherkak There's a lot of reviewers with an inherent Apple bias. So even if they aren't the best, objectively... they are the best to them. The way you feel about a brand can heavily influence your perception.
I also use different wireless earphones for specific purposes. I use Jabra Active for running, trez titanium for easy convenience around my apartment because they are one piece that goes around your neck easy to slip on and off, the bonus is they sound even better with foam earplugs on which I often do at home. Lastly I have AirPods 2 which go in my pocket whenever I leave my apartment except for when running. I love the easy compatibility with my iPhone and iPads that AirPods offer when I’m out and about
I bought a pair and I love them! I am a defense contractor I work in a hanger. I set up the aircraft for the engineers and then have a seat off to the side in the hangar. We work 8-12 hours a day. This job is noisy. These ear buds make you impervious to your surroundings. The sound is crisp, the bass is moderate. They are comfortable. Yes they are expensive, but it's worth the splurge. No complaints.

A head to head comparison with the new airpods would be great. I already read one objective review stating Sony is the winner based on NC sound and battery life.
Solovino Juntoseva I’ve had the Sony’s for quite a while now and I just picked up the AirPod pros. To me, they both have their uses. The Sony’s definitely have better quality sound and more isolation in the noise cancellation. But the Sony’s get uncomfortable after a while of wearing them while I forget the AirPods are even in. Also the Sony aren’t IP rated at all so I wouldn’t wear them while working out or in a wet environment, while the AirPods are ipx4 rated. I feel like the battery life is pretty close but I haven’t timed them or anything. I like the Sony for airplanes or noisy indoor places but prefer to use the AirPods while out and about.
I have purchased it one yesterday about USD250. I'm not a fans of wireless earphones but I hate to admit it, this one is truly the best wireless earphones I ever used better than the wired one

Hi Joshua! Thank you for the great content. Could you you have review of all your wireless earbuds? Very interesting to know which of them you are using and for which purposes.
For everything the Sony’s cannot handle from my use of sound core/liberty audio in the past was great. I’d recommend to check out the new Liberty 2 pro that just dropped. It's the only second wireless you ever need
The Sony XXX 9000-R2D2... I have the overhead second gen ones and just call them the Sony noise canceling when referencing them to people for simplicity sake. Great review.
The Jabra Elite 65ts have had active noise canceling since 2018. That's the main reason I got them over any other true wireless earbuds. They're also a lot more light weight than the WF1000XM3s, a lot more affordable, and they're IP56 certified.
The Jabras actually do not have true ANC. They do have passthrough, which is like Ambient Sound on these or the Transparency on the Airpods, but the Elites have a good seal for passive noise cancellation
I got both and love having the in ears, the WH are great for a serious listening session but the in ears are just so convenient to take anywhere :) Case fits easily in my pocket.
You don’t have to use AirPods with iPhones, I use my galaxy buds with my iPhone but I might get these Sony ones cause I know there better just wanna know how much better
There's an Easter egg to the casing! It can be used as a phone stand to put your phone and watch movie while using ear buds! Open the casing and place it as on the 7th minute of this video and you can put your phone!
@@noankle2601 Yeah, but that's almost a non-issue. We're talking about a push on the tiny button on the back one time when first pairing. It still links up very easily. Main thing you don't get is a squeeze on the stem to pull up your assistant. If you can live without that, AirPods Pro are just fine for Android as they still have ANC and passthrough modes.

The Anker Soundcore LibertyAir aren't super fancy, but I have used them for about 6 months now and they are great, especially for $79. Pretty good sound, sweat resistance, small buds and case, and very comfortable and low key. Also they come in a sleek black :)
How is the call quality? Are the microphones any good for the person on other side of a call? Because the WH-1000XM3 headphone's mics were pretty meh for calling. Would like to have this compared with the Airpod Pro's in your next review.
I have two pairs that I use regularly. The first is a pair of OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 which I use as my practical earphones due to the fast charging and long battery life and the fact they work nicely with my OnePlus 6. The second is galaxy buds which I use for convenience because the size and the fact they are one of the few pairs of earphone that stay in my ears no matter what I am doing.
Hey Joshua how do you think they would stack up against sony mdr xb50ap (wired). It sounds kinda silly but I wanna know if it's the right time to ditch the wires...I've got a pair of $40 wireless anker earbuds and they are just ok. So does the price justify it or should I stick with wires or go with something like the galaxy buds/jabara 65t.
These are very nice earbuds, but couldn't get them to stay in my non standard earholes! Lol. The only ones I can wear very comfortably, no falling out and no earache are the Galaxy Buds. Even the previous ones, IconX 2018 were uncomfortable for me. Until Galaxy Buds I had to use full over the ears phones.
I bought the Sony earbuds and 5 other ones this year including the Apple. The Sony set sounds good but is the least secure and least comfortable!!! Mine fell out just sitting at a table eating breakfast. Wearing to meditate is a joke. They are far too uncomfortable. Finally the new Apple earbuds I just bought are far more comfortable and secure. After I bought the Sony set I bought several in the sub $100 range. They did not sound as good or have active noise canceling, but I stopped wearing the Sonys and wore the cheap sets because they were reasonably comfortable and fit pretty securely.
My ear canals are a bit different. When I bought XM3s, for the first time I felt uncomfortable with standard ear tips. No discomfort, just I was afraid they will fall out. Later tried all other different tips variants. After all I have returned to standard foam tips. They feel great in the ear now and I can walk and run without fearing they would fall out. Once in 30 minutes I adjust them and that's it.
I have an Iphone and still got these over the Airpods. Much better ANC and sound on the Sony’s. Als use the Sony’s in the gym everyday and they hold up greatly!
Any comparison to Galaxy Buds? I'm looking for working out in particular and I've heard their fit is killer compared to a lot of other wireless, especially at a cheap price point.
The Galaxy Buds are definitely a smaller kit overall, but you sacrifice the ANC for the convenience. The Buds do sound quite good though, I will admit.
Quick question. I have the equivalent Sony over the ear headphones and have them synced to the Sony headphone app. If I get these will I easily be able to switch between them in the app depending on which one I decide to use for the day?
I have been using the Sonys for the past 1-2 months and just got received the Airpods Pro today. No contest whatsoever. Airpods win hands down in terms of connectivity, ease of use, charging case, comfort and looks. Their sound is good, but not quite as good as the Sonys. Sonys do sound a little better, but are horrible with Bluetooth connectivity - they drop signal far easier than the Airpods and the earbuds lose sync and you get a bad echo frequently. Taps on Sony oftentimes dont register. Sony have way more ear fatigue and they feel like your ears are blocked off. Airpods Pro feel open - no closed environment. Despite that the noise cancelling is excellent. Transparency mode is improved due to the open feeling as well. Airpods Pro have no audible indication that distinguishes the various modes. Sony does this better.
I'd say the Samsung buds are the best all around buds in every aspect. Aside from the noise cancellation it lacks (not something I miss even as a runner in urban areas mostly) they probably have better sound all around and just a better fit and a sleeker look on the ear than both the airpods and these things. Can't really atest to these with the price they hold rn but if they were maybe matched or closer to the galaxy buds, then they would bar none be the best buds hands down. And it's so odd that you mentioned meditation and noise cancellation cause I too literally do the same things with my current noise cancelling headphones. I'm using the apple airpod pros for my on the go sound and noise cancellation needs when I leave my office/room. I've had a small test run with these sony buds (not gonna write out the name lol) but they do sound surprisingly good for bluetooth buds and the noise cancellation sounds almost on par with the airpod pros but the major downside I saw was the lack of an ipx rating as a runner mostly. The small potential accidents are also key to that giant con against these (for me) and that's kind of what made me just get the pros vs. these. The design was also too bulky for my liking as well (I know the pros aren't that much better there but it's enough for me lol). Generally, I also just live within that ecosystem with my phone and watch so it only made sense as well to add to it with the pros. Only major complaint I have with the pros is really just the fact that they're all white. Might find a way to color them or something myself soon.
When's the last case you've heard of in real life that someone's bluetooth wireless earbuds stopped working due to water while being in their ear? No random article....real life.
@@aareeninccoc22423 SP700N had protection, but had video lag. If these fit better, I think they would be close to perfect. No issues with connectivity/sound/ANC, etc.

I see the resale market being flooded with the sonys with everyone stating their reason for sale is cos they wanna 'upgrade' to the airpods pro hahahaaha
I love these but I have to return them. The size is quite large and heavy but I can live with that because of how good they are in term of sound quality and noise cancellation. The problem I have is how easy they come off my ears. I'm not talking about normal walking or even running. I almost lost one while seating on coach in a flight. One failed off of my ear as I try to get myself comfortable in the little space. Luckily it failed right between the feet of the person behind me. I shined a light and she was able to reach it. I could have lost it if it failed of to some place not retrievable. The previous version, WF-1000X, are smaller, but they have a little "wing" on the ear tips to keep them in the ears better. Why Sony stop doing that on the M3?
Joshua, I'd like to get these but have seen so many reviewers say that the call quality is terrible, and that they are almost unusable when there is any level of noise in the background. Could you give your thoughts on this? Is there any fix you know of? Thanks.
The reason why this happens is because calls on many truly wireless earbuds add in environmental noise -- much like having the Ambient Sound on -- so you have awareness during the call. It's technically a feature, not a flaw. But I can see how it can be offputting. I personally didn't find the call quality to be all that bad

You the man Josh!
I'm on Android so I would get these
pretty cool, mate! nice video!
What if I put these on and simultaneously put WH-1000XM3 and turn on anc in both pair? What do you think will happen?
I'm using it.great earbuds.❤sony.
Hy, I can use just one, left or, right separate? Have Bluetooth connection both? Tankyou
I have this, better than Airpods Pro. The only bummer is that it is not water resistant.
When's the last case you've heard of in real life that someone's bluetooth wireless earbuds stopped working due to water while being in their ear? No random article....real life.
@@acecandle3917 Well it's just good to have a protection at least and it's $229 bro. 😅
Aaron Cabalo I feel ya lol
@@aareeninccoc22423 SP700N had protection, but had video lag. If these fit better, I think they would be close to perfect. No issues with connectivity/sound/ANC, etc.
@@jphilfiker I have that WF-SP700N too I use it for my workout but the connection is not as good as WF-1000XM3 and the battery is only work 2-3 hrs., it has a better fit to my ear because of the hook.
Are these still the best in the market? Looking to get a pair of earbuds but I'm kinda afraid that the Sony M3s could be alittle dated by now.
i just returned the airpods pro and got these. no regrets
I see the resale market being flooded with the sonys with everyone stating their reason for sale is cos they wanna 'upgrade' to the airpods pro hahahaaha
@@lucaslimo a lot of them are apple fanboys or young people who just want to show off airpods in their ears while walking on the streets
Did you try using the bigger silicone tips? Could be that those were lose
@@TheMridulrathi of course 😀
These changed the way I think about wireless earbuds. I used to think they provide poor sound
Alan Clark exactly!
I’m helping out for almost 2 years the one thing I don’t like her father is a key going in and out of Noise canceling headphones
Good review! Maligayang pasko at masagang bagong taon sa inyo :)
Please help you know that the gold area get scratches and I don't want my case to be with scratches what should I do by a case ?
do you use the WF-1000XM3 for gym?
How does the hear through feature work compared to bone conducting headphones?
i gotta know: what song are you singing along to at 2:30??
Ninja Sex Party - We Built This City
Joshua, I'd like to get these but have seen so many reviewers say that the call quality is terrible, and that they are almost unusable when there is any level of noise in the background. Could you give your thoughts on this? Is there any fix you know of? Thanks.
The reason why this happens is because calls on many truly wireless earbuds add in environmental noise -- much like having the Ambient Sound on -- so you have awareness during the call. It's technically a feature, not a flaw. But I can see how it can be offputting. I personally didn't find the call quality to be all that bad
What do people at the other end of the call say?
