God as someone who started late on make up because my mom refused to let me wear anything i was never taught this kinda stuff this is so helpful because i to have hooded eyes and struggled to fallow other makeup channels suggestions and ways of doing make up this is so helpful please make moooore!
I remember being so insecure because my classmate who helped me do my makeup said my eyes are weird for "closing wrong". Now, I've realized that this was a natural thing and we have techniques for this!
I love hooded eyes! Hooded eyes make the gaze look so sexy, sultry and powerful. Things that people without hooded eyes have to put makeup on to achieve.
I think a mix would be awesome, like the second side but with an added darker shade on the hooded lid to add the hooded look back and still make the eyes pop more!
This video is super helpful because not only does it show eye makeup on hooded eyes but I have very similar amount of space between my brows and my eyes (not a whole lot) so I love this!
It's so nice to see advice for hooded eyes given by someone who actually has hooded eyes! Feels like a lot of the videos geared towards folks like us are made by people who have WAY more visible eyelid space, and even though their tips/tutorials might legitimately be great, it's not all that helpful to see them demonstrated on eyes that look so different from the ones they're trying to portray.
What I love about having hooded eyes is applying colour to the lid I a way that doesn't show when eyes are open, but everytime you bat your eyes you get a flash of colour 😍
@@moodyphoneaddict1046 Oh honey, i think i've made it quite clear of what eye type i was talking about in my comment, and since like you said yourself, people with hooded eyes and people with monolids, face the same problems, it would make absolutely no sense for me to be jealous of people with monolids
It took me a long time to appreciate my eye shape. But I think they are beautiful and when makeup is done right, it is one of the most beautiful features imo
@@kimmyballerina6 I have to agree with you here, all eye shapes are beautiful hooded eyes included ofc, but it depends on the person, idk about you, but for me i don't like them on my face, you know what i mean? It's like they don't look pretty with my features, they look too small and it makes my face look bigger and nose stands out more, which i absolutely despise, on the other hand, my father has hooded eyes but they look good on him
thank you so much for this! literally the best hooded eyes eyeshadow tutorial for me because we almost have the same eye shape and my eyebrows are also positioned a bit lower like yours XD
OMG you were so famous at instagram i remember you. I went back to good old days when i saw your video suddenly on my main page. Thank you for the tips. You are so beautiful❤
Light color in your crease darker color outer and to blend it mid color in the middle and that’s good 👍 As a person with hooded eyes it still works perfectly too! But I am looking forward to try that!
After seeing this video, I will practice with dragging my eyeshadow above my natural crease and outward in a V shape for my hooded eyes! I like your tips!
Thank you so much for this video! I have hooded eyes and glasses and makeup is really hard for me (I practically have to do it based on touch most of the time since I need to take my glasses off for it and am severely nearsighted), I’m so excited to try out these tips!
I actually like the closed eye look- its more natural but gives a little something something. The other is just too loud and then on special occasions there is nothing special about it if you do it ll the time
I don’t personally agree that a giant, blown out, shimmery smokey-eye is the “correct” way apply hooded eye eye makeup (but it’s certainly the most recommended, at least here in the USA). Specifically, I do not personally think that the heavier of the two looks is better simply because it is more visible - though the narrator talks about this logic in a dogmatic, pseudo-empirical tone. I dislike this way of teaching makeup: it is not a rule book. It’s a lexicon of potentiality you get to use as you please to look however you want. Personally, I love Douyin makeup: thoughtfully studying and honoring one’s own anatomy, playing with what makes it unique. It reads just as well on camera as in person. Perfect for a date night but also entirely work appropriate. Super soft shadows or translucent shimmers. Simply curling your lashes and adding mascara has always looked amazing on hooded eyes, because it takes up so much of our visible eyelid space. Dua Lipa is a case study in this. Because our eyelids are so small, anything we do has huge impact. A touch of shadow along the lash line feels like full liner. I add a dash of shimmer to the center of mobile lid for some sparkle, but it’s a peekaboo moment. My date noticed it halfway through and commented on it; I don’t think he would have done this had it been glaringly apparent the entire time. It’s cool to have hooded eyes. You can embrace them. It’s also cool to not put your beauty on blast: subtlety is also very pretty, and a person looking closely at you will notice any detail you choose to implement.
THAT WAS A WALL OF TEXT 💀 I promise I know it’s not that deep. It’s just hard to articulate make up techniques concisely. Also, I have absolutely nothing against this creator personally and wish them the best in their professional endeavors.

Same 😭
There's nothing wrong with your mom not letting you wear makeup..
@@emma_luce_0623she didn’t say that she just said that she doesn’t know and found it helpful
No need to mention God’s name in vain but same here, late and hooded eyes 🙋🏻♀️
i relate so much! ♥
I remember being so insecure because my classmate who helped me do my makeup said my eyes are weird for "closing wrong". Now, I've realized that this was a natural thing and we have techniques for this!
It’s actually quite common. I believe half the world has eyes like this and most of the models.
Your classmate was an a** hole for that!
I love hooded eyes! Hooded eyes make the gaze look so sexy, sultry and powerful. Things that people without hooded eyes have to put makeup on to achieve.

Your hooded eyes just like me

I'm following you right now
I like the first side because I like when my hooded lids look hooded but the look you prefer is also pretty.
I think a mix would be awesome, like the second side but with an added darker shade on the hooded lid to add the hooded look back and still make the eyes pop more!

Roblox man face:
why bother "mapping it out" if you're going to apply it like shit lmao
It's not hooded😪
there are no results.
Imma pick the one that looks like less makeup every time 🤷♂️ IK it’s personal preference but you asked 😅
Have hooded eyes causes so much work we’re not ugly. We’re just broke. We can go get this done. Fix this with the surgery like all the Jenners.
Omg i love this. New sub 💜
I use both primer and concealer
