i built the farm and once i finished i noticed mobs weren’t spawning. so after accepting defeat, i destroyed everything and soon after, i realized my world was set on peaceful..😭
You never told us to get observers edit: it works but a mob spawns like each 30 seconds, which isn't that good, so what you need to do is set your game mode to hard so mobs spawn with enchanted armor, which then you can disenchant for extra xp and armor
IMPORTANT TO MENTION THOS FARM DOES NOT WORK OVER A RIVER BIOME AS MOBS DONT SPAWN THERE. Just spend the better part of 4 hours doing so. What’s a waste of time
Just built this on my world, was really slow with just one layer so put it up to four and now it works perfectly! Only thing is, spiders are still spawning and I'm not sure why 🤷🏼♀️

I don't have much knowledge so this was a good video that I was happy to come across. Yeah the do get destroyed but if you think about it you could use the arrows your getting from the mob farm also I don’t know if it’s a glitch or not but sometimes it hits multiple mobs from one arror
I am playing on bedrock realm and it was working - then one of my mates broke a block and a creeper blew up the bottom bit. I’ve fixed it all but now I’m having hardly any mobs spawning (I have 4 layers) I’m talking one mob every like 5 mins when it was very effective before. Any ideas?

ive build many of your farms theyre all beautiful however i built 4 layer mob farm and its not super fast and spiders spawn i dont know if i did something wrong or if theres a common fix?

I made this with a friend yesterday, so far nothings falling in. We used polished deepslate, does it have to be cobblestone? and we used different types of buttons vs trap doors, do they have to be the same wood? Trying to figure out why its not working but those are my only 2 guesses atm

Yes but it will only gives drops. You won't gain any xp since you're technically not the one killing them, the lava is. With a trident, you're the one who threw it so technically it's still a weapon controlled by you. Also, holding a Looting 3 sword while using a trident killer applies the Looting affect to the trident, allowing you to collect even more drops.
@Alex_the_great_ yeah it's op Tbh if you have a very powerful farm that produces a lot of mobs, like a gold farm, you can throw up to 3-5 tridents instead of just one to kill them faster. Looting 3 sword effect works there too, just gotta be holding it
Will it matter if im gonna build it in a warm ocean? Also people say that if im gonna put the lowest render distance the mobs will spawn faster, idk if its true.
Built it with one layer, afk'd for 8+ hours and got about 10 items. Adjusted it to have four layers, no lights on, set to hard mode and got three mobs to spawn when i went to peaceful and then back to hard. Ive gotten a single skeleton in the last hour. 😢
Can we remove the trident killers? Everyone in the bedrock community always uses them for a farm and it’s annoying just make an xp farm for those who don’t want to use a trident killer
I think if you adjust the bottom area of the farm, remove the Redstone contraptions and replace with wood and have a peephole using two slabs you can use this farm as a traditional xp farm, but it won't be afk farm.
what can i do about the xp? i'm barely getting any. it's probably getting stuck in the hoppers, and despawning i can't put carpet on them because of the pistons 😔

This is the first farm that I ever made that actully WORKED im a new subscriber and you do the best tutorials bc im a bedrock player and all of the other tutorials are in java. I play a survival world with my friends and we needed xp for enchanting and our anvil to put enchanment books and repair tools. anyways this is a GREAT farm thanks for all of these great inventions (lol) i use so many of them, sheep farm, super smelter, etc.

Mobs see button as full blocks again so you can change all the trapdoors into button for less resources

I’d suggest you put slabs on the roof so nothing can spawn. I would also suggest building down abt 10 blocks so more mobs spawn. Also add 3 layers

i’m testing it now , with the trident constantly being thrown around it and at the height it comes down from it doesn’t have enough time to blow up
Creepers only blow up if they make eye contact.. so with that slab in place and you standing on the chest it's extremely unlikely they would blow up.

You can go next to the hoppers and probably get Xp that way
