    Man your the best. For days I kept trying to reconnect to new WiFi and myq app kept saying device offline. Followed your steps and back online in minutes. Thank you

    Why the eff isn't this method on the liftmaster or chamberlain website? I was working off their instructions and troubleshooting for an hour and there was absolutely no mention of this approach! The myq kept popping up the prompt to choose a device and it would never stick. Thank you so much for posting this clear and to the point video. Much appreciated

    I have wrangled with this thing for hours. It is always a pain to get back online. Your video was perfect. Chamberlain should have made this video years ago. Thank you Mr. Johnson.

    Thank you, I searched everywhere to find the answer to this, about 50 trips up and down the ladder. The web site resetting my wifi is what really helped reset everything

    Thanks for putting the number up first thing, I would of never been able to get my system up and running without a tech, it even took the tech a hour on the phone to fix my issue. I thought it was a long shot to call but the tech was one of the best in the business and was very patience to solve the issues. So thanks for you video.

    Hey Danny, I want to thank you so much for this video. I recently upgraded my modem/router and my chamberlain myq garage door opener and app went off line.Im pretty handy with things, but for the life of I could not figure this thing out. I followed your steps and it worked. Again I thank you sir! I love RUclips!!!!

    Thank you very much Danny for taking time to add this video. I just want to add that I followed the instructions but still unable to connect on internet on Setup.myqdevice.com then I realized that I have to click "Add Network" and click my MyQ, then I was able to connect on internet and continue with the instructions. I have tried so many instructions for months from MyQ website and online but none works like your video. As shown below, you have helped many people. Thank you again.

    Thanks Danny. I was going NUTS trying to fix this offline issue ever since i switched to a new ISP. Holding the blue/green button down until it beeped and the three quick push to the yellow (learn) button cleared the previous WiFi setting - which was what i needed. I was able to connect to the new WiFi afterwards. Thanks again!

    Seriously, I've worked on this for a couple hours. I came across your video and thought this guy is crazy but I'll try it. My Chamberlain garage door finally authenticated using this method. You're crazy, crazy like a fox!

    Thank you! Worked just as you said. If you have 2 garage doors offline like I did, you will have 2 different MYQ WiFi networks. You will have to set them up individually.

    Many thanks - I spent several frustrating weekends trying to sort this out and NOWHERE on the MyQ App does it take you to a Liftmaster Device Setup Screen. Got it working pretty quick after this vid.

      Was it working with the app at all before? You may need to set it up again

    App is a pos. This is exactly what I was looking for.
    Turn on wifi at controller.
    Connect to opener from phone.
    Use browser to configure home connection.
    Use code in web page used to activate myq account.
    Login to crappy app, there it is.
    You sir saved a ton of headaches.

    Good clear video. Thanks. On my Liftmaster 8550 I’m not getting a flashing blue light. Resetting travel manually works but the rectangular button never lights. What’s up? Any ideas?

    Thank YOU so much for posting this up. I spent almost 2 hours trying to figure this out after I've installed a new modem/router. How does the MyQ App not have a 'reset WiFi settings' function!? So dumb not to include this in their app...
    Luckily I found your video and a link that I can manually enter into a browser, reset the wi-fi settings, re-do the whole MyQ app thing before it finally worked.

    How do you check the strength of the WiFi signal the opener is receiving?

      When you are setting it up, it will come up as its own Wi-Fi network and you should be able to see the signal strength. After that, you would probably need to hit the top left menu button when the app is open and search for it. i’m not sure if it will show or not. It may show up as a wifi network, but maybe not.

      @@dannyjohnsonsgarage I'm trying to see what it's like after the setup is complete, like we see in the initial setup. I have a mesh WiFi network and for some reason on the initial setup the myQ must have only been getting WiFi from the main master router because dispite having a slave router in the garage and my phone receiving very strong WiFi the myQ was registering very low signal. Which is why I figured it.was only picking up signal from the master unit. Now that I've set it up, and power cycled the opener and hope it now picks up signal from the slave unit in the gagrge. I want to confirm that by checking it's signal strength.

    MyQ is offline, first troubleshooting action, checks lasers. Wow. I cant believe there are this many people on the internet that don't know that their smart devices need to be updated if they get a new home WiFi. Technology should be a high school class.

    My opener worked great for 5 years.. now I have done this method about 20 times and it never gets passed the 1 beep

    Damn damn damn......I am so pissed that I am not in the majority group here where the problem has been solved. I have watched video after video and by the this was an awesome one. I have followed so many different instructions and still nothing. Switched cable providers and that's where it all began. Spent $2400.00 on new doors and openers and I'm about to loose my fkn mind. I guess I'll call MyQ but for now I'm going swimming in this bottle of Wild Turkey American Honey. Will repost if I ever get this shit working again.

      If you have 2 garage doors, try starting the process with the other one first. One is the main one

    Thank you soooo much. My stupid door has been off line for 100 days i have tried a million times and it would not connect. BUT Chamberlin's app nor website does not give you the instructions to go to the setup.myqdevice.com. that was HUGE THANKYOU MY DEVICE IS FINALLY BACK ON LINE.

    I really hate MyQ and chamberlain products in general. Would be good if they worked but this happens to me all the time. I hope you didn’t get the phantom door opens like I did. I tried calling them once and waited on hold for over an hour. It’s not worth it.
