Why the eff isn't this method on the liftmaster or chamberlain website? I was working off their instructions and troubleshooting for an hour and there was absolutely no mention of this approach! The myq kept popping up the prompt to choose a device and it would never stick. Thank you so much for posting this clear and to the point video. Much appreciated

I just want to add that I followed the instructions but still unable to connect on internet on Setup.myqdevice.com then I realized that I have to click "Add Network" and click my MyQ, then I was able to connect on internet and continue with the instructions. I have tried so many instructions for months from MyQ website and online but none works like your video. As shown below, you have helped many people. Thank you again.
Thanks Danny. I was going NUTS trying to fix this offline issue ever since i switched to a new ISP. Holding the blue/green button down until it beeped and the three quick push to the yellow (learn) button cleared the previous WiFi setting - which was what i needed. I was able to connect to the new WiFi afterwards. Thanks again!

Thank you! Worked just as you said. If you have 2 garage doors offline like I did, you will have 2 different MYQ WiFi networks. You will have to set them up individually.
Many thanks - I spent several frustrating weekends trying to sort this out and NOWHERE on the MyQ App does it take you to a Liftmaster Device Setup Screen. Got it working pretty quick after this vid.
App is a pos. This is exactly what I was looking for. Turn on wifi at controller. Connect to opener from phone. Use browser to configure home connection. Use code in web page used to activate myq account. Login to crappy app, there it is. You sir saved a ton of headaches.

Thank YOU so much for posting this up. I spent almost 2 hours trying to figure this out after I've installed a new modem/router. How does the MyQ App not have a 'reset WiFi settings' function!? So dumb not to include this in their app... Luckily I found your video and a link that I can manually enter into a browser, reset the wi-fi settings, re-do the whole MyQ app thing before it finally worked.
Michael Russell My wide actually doesn’t care to drive them. I also have a white one I got back after 10 years (crazy story and I made a series on it).
When you are setting it up, it will come up as its own Wi-Fi network and you should be able to see the signal strength. After that, you would probably need to hit the top left menu button when the app is open and search for it. i’m not sure if it will show or not. It may show up as a wifi network, but maybe not.
@@dannyjohnsonsgarage I'm trying to see what it's like after the setup is complete, like we see in the initial setup. I have a mesh WiFi network and for some reason on the initial setup the myQ must have only been getting WiFi from the main master router because dispite having a slave router in the garage and my phone receiving very strong WiFi the myQ was registering very low signal. Which is why I figured it.was only picking up signal from the master unit. Now that I've set it up, and power cycled the opener and hope it now picks up signal from the slave unit in the gagrge. I want to confirm that by checking it's signal strength.
MyQ is offline, first troubleshooting action, checks lasers. Wow. I cant believe there are this many people on the internet that don't know that their smart devices need to be updated if they get a new home WiFi. Technology should be a high school class.
Damn damn damn......I am so pissed that I am not in the majority group here where the problem has been solved. I have watched video after video and by the this was an awesome one. I have followed so many different instructions and still nothing. Switched cable providers and that's where it all began. Spent $2400.00 on new doors and openers and I'm about to loose my fkn mind. I guess I'll call MyQ but for now I'm going swimming in this bottle of Wild Turkey American Honey. Will repost if I ever get this shit working again.
