Meditation is not only beneficial but necessary to calm the mind and to give it some time to rest. By meditating you are able to reduce the stress and slow down your thoughts, it recharges the batteries, increases physical stamina, spiritual strength and improves our ability to concentrate.
However, getting into the habit of meditation is not always easy.
Here are some simple tips to meditate effectively:
* sit comfortably. If you sit in a chair, always put your feet on the ground.
* focus on your breath. When your mid begins to wander, bring it back slowly but focusing on your breath.
* don't force your mind to stay still
* start small and build up your time. 3 minutes is perfect for someone who has never meditated before.
