Thank you guys for working on this.I think that the whole community always wanted something like that. Having to reset the car and get it ready for another attempt was always such a waste of time, since we'd usually have to do that multiple times during a training session.
Tried this yesterday and it works amazingly well!!! This is going to save countless hours of sketchy out laps to warm up tyres, only to bin it in T1 of the actual hotlap 😂😅 Also, the BMW LMDH is my new favourite car!
Good to know weather don't save. Not that I really noticed when testing. So nice to save 10 laps into a stint and then driving lap 11 over and over, finding out how to go faster. So often before laps could feel soo different that it was hard to judge what I did was actually the fastest or if I hade cooled the tires a bit and now they were the reason and I'm learning bad lines because of it.
Great stuff but it's a bit puzzling that you'd explicitly make this not work with setup changes. The most useful thing I can think of for this tool would be for repeatable testing of setup variations.
Speaking of new features...Can we add an 'AI Race' button when you are going to enter a real race? You can currently 'test drive/time trial', but if you want to practice with AI...you need to enter that menu separately and mimic all the race info!
Great feature, but PLEASE add a volume setting or toggle to turn the beeps off. It's crazy loud especially if you turn your engine sounds down to hear the tires.
non-related, but iRacing needs to work on there video capture settings. Even when I set youtube player to 2160 it is not anywhere close to that resolution. If using Geforce Experience, make sure to max out the bit rate for capture

It's my opinion but i use iRacing cause it's a simulator, and this the less simulation feature i've seen on iRacing. You can't crash and reset to the garage and go again in the real world. The people who don't have as much time to practice make mistakes more often and would suffer the penalty of having to do out laps more often than people who have time to practice more and make less mistakes. Now less time has to be spent practicing and more time spent racing, which is the point.
Most players that pay for iRacing want a competitive environment, of course they're going to practice to get better at it and climb to higher splits. I don't see it as a negative since it applies to any competitive game out there.
BTW ... You can use MOTEC to view most all of the parameters just as if you have completed a nn lap test run. Each individual test data segment run is noted as a stint (nn). contact me if you would like more info. aka R.E. Samuelson on iRacing.

Actually i think that it will make it a try hard competitive game more and a competitive sim less. Ridiculous. Its not working for rallycross, where track state is more important then road or oval. Iracing really doesn't care about dirt road.
