    Excellent product, very happy with my purchase.
    I'd been using cheaper transfer paper just to test things out as I'm new to the whole heat transfer printing industry, and they were truly awful.
    Having since used this product I can honestly say the result are absolutely brilliant compared to the previous product I had been using.
    A 10/10 for me, follow this guide and you can't go wrong, you soon remember everything and it becomes natural for you to do when starting and finishing the entire process.

    • @photopaperdirect
      @photopaperdirect  4 года назад +1

      @@romanvargas1244 Hi, if the image came off the fabric after the first wash, not enough heat or pressure was applied during the transfer paper. Use a hard surface like a solid table, press/iron for the required duration and apply plenty of the pressure. This will result in a durable transfer. Thanks for the comment!

    I've never known how to actually centre the image. With this image it doesn't matter too much, but with things like boxes and big text, centering it is absolutely vital. How does one get it done so accurately?

    • @photopaperdirect
      @photopaperdirect  7 лет назад

      A good tip is to make your design and print on same size copy paper to make sure the design is where you want it, before printing on the more expensive transfer paper. How to centre the image will depend on the software you're using, but it must be an option. MS Word is useful for preparing designs with text, it also features a built-in option to centre the image (as well as the important 'mirror' text function). I hope this helps a little. Thanks for the comment.

    • @PomBare
      @PomBare 7 лет назад

      Hi, thanks for the reply. What I actually meant is when you place the paper on the t-shirt, how do you get it on the centre of the t-shirt? It's very hard to lie the t-shirt flat out so it can be measured. How does one know how high/low to place an image - how to centre it and how to ensure it's straight and not lopsided in anyway. Even 1 or 2 millimeters can be detected.

    • @photopaperdirect
      @photopaperdirect  7 лет назад +1

      Ok, I see what you mean. We normally place the shirt in the middle of the work top and measure using the neck as the centre point. I hope this helps.

      Hi, You can peel the image when HOT or COLD When Peeling HOT - immediately after finishing the Ironing, peel the paper in a quick smooth action. The image will now be on the fabric and will be matt in finish When Peeling COLD - after finishing the ironing, allow the paper to cool to room temperature. Once cold, peel the paper (there is no time limit on doing this, you can wait as long as you like). Cold peel achieves a Glossy Finish on the shirt. I hope this helps. Thanks for the comment!

    Hey
    For dark fabrics, is there any special considerations to be noted?
    Is it a hard and fast rule to use 1200W iron? What about using 500W or 700W and keeping it pressured for a longer duration.
    Thanks.

    • @photopaperdirect
      @photopaperdirect  9 лет назад

      Hi, The process will not work with an iron lower than 1400w, even if you lron for longer. If you have areas of the transfer that have not adhered well this is because either you did not give enough heat in this area or not enough pressure was applied. Make sure you are working on a solid surface and not on an ironing board. Thanks for the comment.

      Hi, As long as the material that you are ironing on can withstand the heat of the iron, you can safely transfer the design on to it. Look at the label on the back of the garment for any restrictions. Normally Cotton, Viscose, Polyester, Silk etc are great, just double check. Thanks for the comment.

    Photo Paper Direct Hello sir, What if i dont want a white back ground on my prints? Let's say for example. I printed the same image as yours in the video and put it on a BLACK t shirt. I dont want the white outline that you said it should be left like a couple of mm from the image. What if i dont want that?
    And then u can say that i could print it with a black background. What if i have a different shade of black. Something charcoal greyish. What will i do to get rid of the outline?
    And another question. What does the silicon paper does?

      @photopaperdirect  9 лет назад

      Michael Tan Hi, If you are using a dark transfer paper, you need to be able to remove all the white areas from the transfer before transferring to the shirt. All the white visible areas on the paper will also be visible on the shirt. This is a limitation of the dark transfer paper. The silicon is there to protect the Iron or heat press when you place the transfer face up on the garment and have to Iron it on the exposed image. Thanks for the comment.

      Hi, good baking paper, if that's what you meant, can do the job. Test on a small area first as baking papers vary in quality. Thanks for the comment!

    My question is do it need to be colored ink or regular black ink ?

    • @photopaperdirect
      @photopaperdirect  4 года назад

      Hi, if your design has colour, you'll need colour ink. If the design is black you'll need only black ink. The transfer sheet will accept either. Thanks for the comment!

    Eh have a feeling if you don't cut all the white outline on the image and try doing this on a Black shirt you will have a white border around the image which may or may not look good, that's a lot of work to cut a image out with no white in it.

      hi, you are correct, quite a bit of work. Using a cricut as we did in this video will help solve this ruclips.net/video/anvkmByEyDo/видео.html Thanks for the comment.

    Does the white of the transfer paper transfer on the shirt??

    • @photopaperdirect
      @photopaperdirect  4 года назад

      Hi, light transfer paper (for white fabrics only) is clear, so any unprinted areas won't show. Dark transfer paper has a white background. Therefore any unprinted areas will appear white due to the transfer paper background. When using either light or dark, it is best to trim any unprinted areas. Thanks for the comment!

    Photo Paper Direct how many washes would you expect this to survive? Also, which pack should I buy if I am printing on Grey Gildan Heavy Cotton t-shirts? Thanks in advance!

      Hi, We have another video on the channel with basic transfer paper washing instructions. The average washes seems to be 15 to 20, though you can improve on that significantly by following the advice in the video. Thanks for the comment.
