If you doing heat transfer paper: Any color Cotton garments. PPD (might be other products out there, check Heat Press Nation), Jet ink for designs (not mirrored), parliment paper (should come with heat transfer paper), heat press.

Heat Transfer Paper - printing a design onto a sheet of heat transfer paper using an inkjet or laser printer. Then heat press onto any cotton color garment. Sublimation Paper - print design using sublimation ink. Then heat press is to polyester garment (white and light colors only, polyester blends 50% and up). 100% polyester best results.

Now there a comment from someone they lay down the ppd, and use sublimation paper and heat press onto that way. Now I have tried regular jetink and have last 10 washes no cracks.
Ok. After 1st press, just leave white silicone paper on it for 30secs, if you have teflon sheet use that too. I would 2nd press again exact same way. Make sure you have the heat press firm pressure. Try that on a old shirt and wash same amount to see results

I am trying to do a shirt this way but I'm having trouble with the border part. It shows a border but it's up in the left hand corner and there is no option to expand it. Also when I got to print it only half the whole first image but the second image is cut of. It's only half of it. What am I doing wrong?
Adding: when you click the print preferences, first tab under selection here paper goes (paper tray, cassette 1, ...) there option borderless, needs to be checked, to help expand
@@diywithkenny8399 Ok. I did exactly the steps in your video. When I go to silhouette it has the border like yours but it's up in the left hand corner not corner to corner like yours. The border won't stretch to all four sides. When I hit the preview button it's only showing 1 picture and half of the other. It's not showing both pictures like yours in the preview.
Helppppp!!! 🆘🆘🆘Ok I am trying this method and my cover sheet keeps sticking to the image when I lift the heat press. I mean it's completely stuck to the shirt. The colors are there but my image just turns into a giant two side sticker.
You may have too much pressure on your heat press, should be a knob that you can turn; turn clockwise more pressure. turn counter- clockwise less pressure.. should be able to adjust when top plate lifted, can adjust off so just lay a shirt down, loosen pressure, then you can see from there.. may have to adjust a few times but not so tight where you have it now.
Hey Thanks. If you are on a budget Tusy from amazon good. Check these sites in google: Swing Designs, Heat Press Nation, Heat Transfer Warehouse for heat press and other stuff.
I made a shirt and after a day it faded on its own. I put it back under the press again and the colors got bright and vivid and in a day dull again. I used sublimation ink... Am I missing something??

I have made shirts using my inkjet printer and the shirts gets washed regularly and never had any fading. I’m amazed how well my tiny birds stayed on the shirt I made for my husband. It’s a life is good design and has 25 tiny birds in the background and it’s been washed over 50xs and still as nice as the first day I made it. Sublimation is completely different and I doubt it will last, your supposed to mirror yr imagine and apply it to the material, this stays on the paper so it’s not gonna last as long
Can be a few minor things, have you calibrated your colors, have you done amy print head cleans to bring back the colors (may have to do this a few times).
Hey. I have WF-7840 & EcoTank 3760. Difference is WF can print 8.5x11", 11x17", and 13x19" vs ET 3760 8.5x11" Now there is a Ecotank 15000 that does same as WF 7840. Depends your budget.
WF 7840/7820 estimate $300 print all paper sizes, EcoTank 15000 estimate $600 print all paper sizes. Then there other models that will be different and prices goes down. Add also the EcoTank easier to convert to sublimation.
Final note, did some quick search.. ET-15000 would be my personal choice (just need ink), but WF 7840 or 7820 can still be good and at cheaper price (but will have to change chips, get refill cartridges, get ink, and will have to get more chips UNTIL they make chips dont have to change). My 2cents. hope that helps.
This method, not so good after handful of washes. Saw another comment someone used sublimation paper on top of PPD paper (like glitter vinyl). Did the regular jet-ink way, so far upholding 7 washes. Still tweaking it.
Question, why is it that every time I get ready to print out a project, my printer says “ Paper out in paper tray. Load paper and touch ok” but I have the paper loaded correctly!
Hello. You picking the print preference off the computer right, now are you loading your paper afterwards or prior? Anyhow it does me too lol. Most of the time if you load your paper 1st, it works for the most part. Just a communication bridge between the computer, software app (your design), and then the printer lol.
Ok. Happens all the time⁉️ Now when loading paper, check the screen, may predict paper example a or paper example b.. that part too may trigger it by not picking paper. Worse case scenario, after your printing and done for the day, unplug for 10 min, or comeback till next day (turn off 1st).
Lol more than welcome to try, but test on older shirt, more durable with the regular way, I have tested many times. Just will not last after a handful of washes.
Hello. Epson WF 7840. At the moment there is no infinite chip or chip reset tool made as of yet. So if you can get Epson EcoTank 15000, would recommend that choice.
Hello. My honest opinion on sublimation for the PPD product, better off using regular jetink. Only way it will work for sublimation is to tack down the ppd on garment, the. use your sublimation print paper (+design/image printed on A-Sub or whatever), then heat press it 390 to 400 degrees, 45 seconds more or less. All depends on your equipment. Lot of extra steps FYI. Hope that can answer it all.

Hey. Have to ask a few questions: What software you are using to print? What printer is doing the print?
Adding: when you click the print preferences, first tab under selection here paper goes (paper tray, cassette 1, ...) there option borderless, needs to be checked, to help expand
I am using canva to design and download & silhouette to place and print. I'm using an espon 7840.
Wish I could show you because I don't think me explaining is good, lol
Hello Mr. Kenny, could you please tell me the name of your cutter please?
what is parlament paper does it come with the paper itself or you have to buy it separtly ? can i use biutcher paper too
It comes with this product.. i would lay teflon over the parlament paper
What kind of printer is that at 3:40
How is this paper double sided for use?
Where can I reach you best? I have a question about this. Thanks
Helppppp!!! 🆘🆘🆘Ok I am trying this method and my cover sheet keeps sticking to the image when I lift the heat press. I mean it's completely stuck to the shirt. The colors are there but my image just turns into a giant two side sticker.
Hmmm. Are you referring to the white parliment paper⁉️. Try to loosen the heat press plate (pressure).
@@diywithkenny8399 yes the paper sticks to the printable vinyl. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.
Try that and let me know
@@diywithkenny8399 I think the problem is that I'm using butcher paper which doesn't have a coated layer.
@DIY with Kenny where did u buy the paper trimmer
Hello. Was cheaper last year, but look up Fiskar on Amazon (this one I have, click on link) - amzn.to/3ImKRly
Great content! Quick question..I have an ET-2750..Will that be suitable for my heat press. Just started this business.
Hey Thanks. If you are on a budget Tusy from amazon good. Check these sites in google: Swing Designs, Heat Press Nation, Heat Transfer Warehouse for heat press and other stuff.
TUSY pretty decent to scale up later on, those sites I have mentioned are good and personally bought from all 3.
I made a shirt and after a day it faded on its own. I put it back under the press again and the colors got bright and vivid and in a day dull again. I used sublimation ink... Am I missing something??
Did you try these settings? 385 Degrees For 30 Seconds Firm Pressure Heat Press. After 1st press, leave Silicon Paper on for 30 seconds, and then peel. 2nd Press with Silicone Paper 10 to 15secs. * Working on regular jetink, testing washes. Seems to work a lot better.
Sublimation is completely different and I doubt it will last, your supposed to mirror yr imagine and apply it to the material, this stays on the paper so it’s not gonna last as long
Not mirrored this video. But that is the better method my opinion.
Used sublimation printer, but the colors were not accurate. What did I do wrong?
Can be a few minor things, have you calibrated your colors, have you done amy print head cleans to bring back the colors (may have to do this a few times).
Thank you!! What printer do you have btw ? And do you love and recommend it?
You just broke it down perfectly. Thank you so much ! Appreciate you!!
@@allenasanford8482 Welcome. Feel free to ask any time, and whenever you are ready to convert, need help... I'm around.
How did the garment hold up after washes?
This method, not so good after handful of washes. Saw another comment someone used sublimation paper on top of PPD paper (like glitter vinyl). Did the regular jet-ink way, so far upholding 7 washes. Still tweaking it.
can i use this transfer paper for my cap? and what temp and time?
That I am not sure, unless you have a hat press and also the hat need cotton (50% at least). You can always try, but small design on a older hat.
Looks great but this tutorial didn't tutorial lol...I know that doesn't make sense but...🙄
Ciao name this imprimante please
Hello. PHOTO PAPER DIRECT PPD
Thank you for the video. My question is, do you have sublimation ink or regular heat in your printer? I own the wf 7720
That was supposed to be regular ink
No worries. Sublimation ink. Can check the pin comment for updated results.
Also... load 1 of these paper at a time; I would cut the 11x17 in half to 8 1/2x11 to load them in ET-3760. So your printer should handle them.
@@diywithkenny8399 Hello Kenny, just wondering why you use sub ink instead of regular inkjet ink?
Testing out new ways 😎
Question, why is it that every time I get ready to print out a project, my printer says “ Paper out in paper tray. Load paper and touch ok” but I have the paper loaded correctly!
Hello. You picking the print preference off the computer right, now are you loading your paper afterwards or prior? Anyhow it does me too lol. Most of the time if you load your paper 1st, it works for the most part. Just a communication bridge between the computer, software app (your design), and then the printer lol.
@@diywithkenny8399 I already have the paper in when I get ready to print
@@diywithkenny8399 I have my print preference already set up
Ok. Happens all the time⁉️ Now when loading paper, check the screen, may predict paper example a or paper example b.. that part too may trigger it by not picking paper. Worse case scenario, after your printing and done for the day, unplug for 10 min, or comeback till next day (turn off 1st).
@@diywithkenny8399 Thanks a lot!!!
I’m confused, why did you use sublimation in and not regular inkjet? Or where you just experimenting?
Yes this was a test. Regular jetink is better.
@@diywithkenny8399 shidddd I was about to try it 😂😂😂. Don’t know unless you try.
@@diywithkenny8399 new sub here just you AINT SCARED to try something that people claim can’t be done.
Lol more than welcome to try, but test on older shirt, more durable with the regular way, I have tested many times. Just will not last after a handful of washes.
What kind of printer is that
Hello. Epson WF 7840. At the moment there is no infinite chip or chip reset tool made as of yet. So if you can get Epson EcoTank 15000, would recommend that choice.
so is this paper for sublimation or inket? . because i have sublimation ink and am looking to submlimate
Regular jetink (no mirrored is recommended, i would test on old shirt if you wanna give sublimation a try. But do it like you would glitter vinyl.)
Hi, great job! I have a Epson ET-8550 that is sublimation, will this process work on PPD Light Heat Transfer Paper? Thank you
Thanks Kenny
Welcome and anytime 😎
Good job bro! What’s the name of that paper cutter you use?
Thanks; paper-cutter name is FISKARS. purchase on amazon, but also in hobby stores and can buy blades to change out.
@@diywithkenny8399 I just went got mines! Thank you! This is a game changer! I kept cutting it with scissors and it ends up looking super sloppy!
When you get a chance, the premium blade for $20 more or less cuts even better.
What's the name of that printer?🙏
So do you use sublimation ink on the transfer paper?
Hello & yes for this video. Recommend using regular inkjet for this, longer results after washes.
are you using sublimation ink or regular ink?
Hello and yes for this video I used sublimation ink.
