    You also need to iron from the inside of the shirt to completely melt the plastic on the opposite (inside) side because that's the most important side!! These shirts will last a long time and through many washes (basically as long as any store bought logo shirt) but if the plastic touching the shirt was never melted properly than of course it isn't going to stick and work properly. Try it again, and buy an ironing board goofs!

      You mean like after the ironing the front flip the shirt and iron it from the other side as well ?

      Plus a little perforation on low weight paper would really help with adhesion and stretch-ability too!

    tip: I did this yesterday and for smaller things I used bigger plastic foil, like see-thru you get with orders from H&M and stuff. It’s much thicker so i feel like it sticks better

    Just wanna mention that the plastic covering you get when you have clothes dry cleaned works just as well as cling film.

    It was cute when he was trying to move around with it on. Had me laughing and thinking maybe you should have ironed the inside of the shirt and it may have been sealed a bit more, yet, I believe the shirt washed once would have fallen off during the wash. I subscribed because you are both so genuine and laughed at yourselves. Thank you for a wonderful post.

      If you wash it like you normally would with your other clothes then it won't last but some people are saying that if you hand washed it with cold water and let it air-dry that it might last

    dude that picture was just too big. a smaller, thinner sheet would've been easier to deal with and given better end result. oh well, we learn like that.

    You have to make sure that the plastic is fully covered in the back of the picture that's most likely where y'all went wrong

    These two are so adorable together. Well put together tutorial and the outcome is so real life hilarious. THAT being said, I love this technique and could see a legit easy way to get bold graphics onto more structured items such as tote bags. Will definitely try. Thank you.

      Or a countertop, a table a floor. I literally use the floor with cardboard because my ironing board wasn't a hard surface

    Its a nice science experiment. Interesting, but i wouldn't use this DIY method for longterm shirt designs. Like they stated in the video, a one day thing or so.

    I wonder if also ironing the inside (with the paper of course) would help it stick since it's closer to the side that needs adhering.

      I highly doubt this will work. If you can't afford a color laser printer than I recommend using the ones at FedEx.

      @@blasianprincess8763 think about it. Where is that paper going to go. The image might of transfered on to that top layer of plastic but the paper is still there and highly susceptible to heat and water. The plastic wrap on the back might have bonded on to the shirt if it's the right material but even that won't last.

    you have to wrap the whole picture. the front and the back of the picture needs to be fully wrapped with plastic wrap, also not so big of a photo maybe. i loved you guys's reactions by the way (:

    Instead of using a cutting board for your ironing place, just put three towels on a table and then you got your DIY ironing table

    You guys made me laugh! And that transferring technique does work pretty well on t-shirts, but as you stated, it’s better with a smaller image! I use this method on tote bags where large images work perfectly! Thanks for sharing your experience! And don’t lose all that fun ‘n joy you share! ❤

    Ohhh sooo wait a second.... I thought you need to print the picture off a printer but in fact since the picture is being sandwiched between the plastic wrap and melted on the shirt then I could actually use any pictures I want riping it right out of a magazine. I don't need to print anything out. Right?

    I thought my eyes were going bad...well they ARE bad but that poster made me go crazy.😂 This is a cool idea! What was the material of the shirt? 50/50 or 100% cotton? That could have made a difference in the 'stick' ratio factor. ❤

    Hello, fashion designer here. If you want to make shirts for you clothing line/brand like this, don’t even. I know this seems a lot more cheaper then actual way to create a graphic but even so after one wash it will be gone, unless you arent really serious about this id say go for it but for people who actually want to start making graphic tees and such, you’d be better off doing a screen print or even so finding a local shop to do it for you or even websites that make them for you. I know they are gonna be alot more expensive but its worth the money. Just a tip tho ❤❤ great vid btw

    Well mine didn't stick, I used more heat and less heat both...but as someone mentioned haven't tried ironing it inside out.
    Also the paper gets crushed due to the iron's heat.
