    The whole team at Vaer was watching this video - super interesting (never seen it done before). Also, a quick disclaimer for any potential customers: filling your watch with oil is not covered under warranty! But definitely a cool premise for someone with the right tools/skills :)

      Yeah, that’s true. I wouldn’t do it if you cared about the warranty. The Watch is built solid enough that I’m not worried about it.
      Thanks for stopping in guys, really appreciate it. Love the watch!

    Sinn have been doing this for years with their hydro watch. And that’s got a HAQ eta thermo compensated movement. Very well done, you did a good job on that 👍

    Outstanding as always I don't think that I'll be leaving the spring bars on for easier cleanup and yes I've also used the incorrect oil as well but it was on my first attempt the reminder is greatly appreciated my friend It looks amazing by the way I'm just waiting on the new crystal to proceed Be well and Stay Frosty 👍

    Looking at that very tempting to try it on a Citzen Eco drive screw down back. Tempted to try that mod very excellent demonstration. Like a sergeant!

    Angry that I can't do this on my Seiko SLA071 Landmaster! Beautiful job. Makes me want to try on a Seiko Tuna Quartz.

    Wonderful video ... can this be done on an automatic ? If yes, I might try it on my Cadisen that's arriving soon ...

      As long as it’s quartz it can be done. No mechanical

    Should there be a small air bubble for expansion/contraction? I have a Uboat darkmoon and it has a small bubble in it.

      I mention that in the video. That I do not want a small air bubble. I don’t plan on diving deep enough that there’s ever going to be a need to expand the liquid inside and fill that gap to not pop the crystal off. So to me it’s a non-issue

      @@allthingsrandom8137 Lets hope it will not pop in the airplane. Already happend to me once (watch without oil luckily) :D

    What a pain that you'll have to do it again! It's a messy job, well done for doing it on camera so apparently easily. Can you report back in a year to tell us how it is going?

  • @michaelhalstead6434

    Could you just pull the crown out and let the air escape and fill the oil that way?

    • @allthingsrandom8137
      @allthingsrandom8137  4 месяца назад +1

      Nope. The internal gasket wouldn’t allow it, plus there will still be bubbles inside if not done properly
