Can I use numbering from 1 to 10 like an anchor instead of for example breath/fingers pressure etc?
For sure. The key is to keep your analytical mind focused on something happening in the present moment. I used counting for many years myself before transitioning to more somatic anchors. My tip for counting is to start over at 1 when you get to 10 rather than continuing to count as high as possible.
One downside of counting is that it might inspire less present-moment curiosity compared to, say, noticing exactly what your breath or fingers feel like in this moment (since every single time they'll be subtly different). But there are many approaches to meditation that are valid, so the key is finding what works for you, which might very well be counting!
