I have been binge watching your videos since I am recuperating from Covid19. You have made my confinement so educational. You have given me the push that I needed to go beyond my comfort zone. Stay safe people.
You have inspired me to swatch all my paints, which will take a long, long, time.....and seems worthwhile in the end. Thanks for sharing, your journaling is awesome.
Totally love this idea! I always feel like I always "play it safe" with color but feel like my art needs a pop. What an awesome way to step out if the safe zone. Thanks
Yes! Someone’s color “rut” is indeed their color “story” AND a first clue in unveiling ones’ own personal style, of which we all crave in our art journey. So beautiful...
Thanks for the demo, so much fun. Mixing colors has always been one of my fears. I love the exercise on the tags, though. It makes perfect sense to play with color that way and be able to see how they affect each other.
My favorites are the contrasting color ways. Purple is my favorite color. Has been since I was 4, I’ll play with pinks and blues also.. they always work with purple. 💜😁🤗
I loved this! I'm definitely inspired to make a "color combo" journal now. Also, and it's interesting that you mentioned interior design; a designer whose blog I've followed for a long time does color consulting training and she focuses on undertones being either what she classifies as clean or dirty ..that beige or white, etc. is never just one or the other because colors have a complexion like people do, so if you put two colors together and they feel off, you may be reacting to the undertones--one is "clean" and the other is "dirty" so they don't feel like they go together. There's an element of subjectivity to that, of course, but it came to mind while I was watching. :) Oh, and Maria Killiam is the designer.

Very interesting and informative in understanding how colors interact together telling their story. I have to do a color play. New subbie. TFS
Glad to be a new sub! Looking forward to learning from you! Thank you

Notes to self
Reduce quantity of each layer of color
Tag album of color play

Are or change texture
