As you guys may know, when I’m at home in Miami, I crave the food I would normally eat when I travel the world. Especially Indian food. So I decided to go on another eating Indian food for 24 hours adventure, this time in my hometown of Miami, Florida. Join me as I set out to try a lobster tikka masala, a royal sizzler, and more!
I’d be going to two Indian restaurants I’d never visited before and I was so excited! I love checking out new restaurants! My adventure began at Saffron Indian Cuisine in Pinecrest. They serve north and south Indian cuisine there and I could not wait to eat!

🎥 WATCH: Eating Indian Food for 24 Hours in Sunrise, Florida: • Eating INDIAN FOOD for...
My adventure began at Saffron Indian Cuisine in Pinecrest. They serve north and south Indian cuisine there and I could not wait to eat! Inside, I met the owner, Danny. The décor inside is meant to resemble the entrance to the City Palace in Jaipur.
The ambiance is very cozy and colorful. They have paintings of the doorways of the palace and a golden Buddha on the walls!
I started with some chai, which is one of my favorite things to drink in Miami. Then, I headed into the kitchen to watch the cooks prepare a bunch of dishes including lobster tikka masala, samosas, gobi Manchurian, sea bass, chicken lollipops, eggplant, a rice dish with dried fruit and cashews, mint paratha, drunken lamb, cheese garlic naan, and more.
I’d never seen a mint paratha before! This north and south Indian feast was going to be incredible!
Danny and I started with the lamb samosa, which was very different and minty. There were so many flavors and textures from the lamb and cilantro. I loved it with the mint-chili-chilantro chutney, but the tamarind chutney was the best for me!
Next were the Bombay-style chicken lollipops, a light gobi Manchurian, sea bass in a rich coconut curry, a mint paratha, sweet saffron naan, garlic naan, and a unique lobster tikka masala. I’d never seen it anywhere!
Next was the tender drunken lamb, tandoori chicken with a mint chutney marination, and baby eggplant. Then, we finished with some creamy kheer and rasmalai.
Then, I headed over to Namaste Miami in Coral Gables. There, I met Shravan, who prepared a special lunch for me. I started with some Sula wine!
They made a thali with lamb, samosa, raita, and salad, as well as tandoori chicken wings, and more. We started with some crisp rice snacks with tamarind chutney.
Next were papdi chaat, a samosa, aloo tikki, and more. The papdi chaat was nice and crunchy, while the aloo tikki was like a crispy fritter.
Then, we had a non-veg platter with a veg kebab and a sweet-and-sour baby corn chili. The chilli chicken wasn’t too spicy, and the tandoori chicken was tender, smoky, and buttery.
I followed that with lamb rogain josh, kadai paneer, chicken tikka masala, goat biryani, dal makhana, bullet naan, and shrimp and momos with gold leaf on top! The goat biryani was nice and light, and I mixed the rice with the curries. The naan with everything on the plate was amazing!
Then, I headed back to my office and then took my leftovers back to my dad. I was so full from eating earlier that I couldn’t eat anything except a few bites of papdi chaat!
He started with the chicken momo with gold leaf and moved on to the papdi chaat before grabbing a bit of everything! He loves Indian food as much as I do and loved trying so many new dishes!

David sir u r awesome

David and Carlos are half Indian by Heart .. They went all over the world and then they came to India .. Rest is History..🙏
David, just one correction about where and how Indo-Chinese cuisine originated. In the 1950s, a lot of Chinese refugees emigrated (via Hong Kong?) and settled in coastal eastern India. Kolkata, the rest of West Bengal, Odisha, and Bihar. There are a lot of Chinese in these states. They kept their own cooking styles that were adapted to Indian ingredients.
Later generations of Chinese in India acquired the Indian taste for spices. They opened Chinese restaurants in eastern India where they served these dishes (e.g. Chow Mein, chilli chicken, fried rice, Hakka noodles) which became a hit. Later on, Indian chefs from other parts of India, especially from Mumbai, added their own creations (e.g. chicken/veg/Gobi Manchurian, "Schezwan" dishes, chicken lollipop).
"Manchurian" would be considered racist in mainland China, and "Schezwan" is a misspelling of "Szechuan"/"Sichuan", a region of China known for spicy foods. Indian "Schezwan" dishes have little to do with the real Szechuan dishes (e.g. Kung Pao chicken, Sichuan hotpot, Dan Dan noodles), which contain liberal amounts of dried red chillies, hot chilli oil, and Sichuan (numbing) peppers.
Lots of love to you from India may you live long n prosper 🙏😍 keep going on and exploring India ♥️ your videos are amazing

Hey David! Thanks to your videos ( esp collabs with Carlos Volpe), I recovered from an eating disorder,...when I was teaching myself to eat again, I have been watching your videos and it helps me finish my meals, gradually increasing portions...from an underweight malnourished waif to a healthy person with better immunity than ever before, your videos have helped me so much. Stay blessed David!
I love these videos of you eating Indian goods for 24 hours. So awesome, everything looks fantastic
This time no curry get spread on your Dad's T shirt😂😂

Chicken lollypops go really well with Diet Coke
What I love most in the Indian Food Challenge is: the ending meal with your dad...
I feel surprised n happy to see you how muchYou relish Indian food. Next year I’m also coming to Florida. Last time also I wrote to you that I could never ever believe that an American will relish Indian food so much. Our Indian food is very different from your country’s food. I feel American food is v bland. I like to have spicy food like you do. Me n my daughter in law went to an Indian restaurant for food. I found 90% of the people were Americans. N v few people were Indian. But I feel v happy to see you relishing Indian food. Keep enjoying n God Bless you always.
Everytime i see david eats indian food video, its mouth watering , i will go to restaurant.

of course who wouldn't. I'm a foodie and it's good to see you enjoy Indian food.
Absolutely amazing! So much delicious foods... I was choosing between Thai and Indian food today but now I know what to pick hahaha... I’m drooling
Have you eaten Pav Bhaji in any of your videos? It is one of the most popular vegetarian street foods in India (I thought) and it is really delicious. It is mashed cooked vegetables and fresh tomatoes, onions and peppers with garlic, ginger cumin, coriander, garam masala, hing sauteed together(with various other spices) and butter and it is served with a buttered roll for dipping. I got a recipe for it from a channel called "Bhavna's Kitchen" who is based in Florida too after watching videos of numerous vendors in India making it. Don't the Miami restaurants serve it? It is really good with Hari Chutney which is a raw Cilantro, lemon, ginger and hot pepper with cumin, salt, pepper and sugar mixture.
Saffron.. They prepared the food with such love.. and the chefs are so skilled.. it was cool to see the lady chefs making naan

I prefer Chinese food but this Indian food looks amazing!
There is sub-genre of Indian Food called Indo-Chinese, they are different from regular Chinese so you might be trying new dishes and similar enough to overcome the challenge of trying new cuisine.
If you eat chinese foods you will fall ill and if you eat Indian food you will become healthy
@@sugandhacharya5190 There are many sub-genres of food. Fusion cuisine and many others. I like Indian food and have eaten it. I just happen to prefer Chinese food. Chinese is my fave.
@@indiano.1113 Chinese food has never made me ill. But I've become ill eating Indian food. I think both cuisines are great I just prefer Chinese.

To all other nationalities watching this video - the food shown in these videos does not cover 1/100th of the what India has to offer in terms of cuisine.

Saffron is only found in kashmir in india,we have our own kashmiri bakery ,for breakfast there is a different roti we call it lavasa or girda ,for evening chai we have many more with cashews rasins almonds or simple other rotis too
David- your comment about “In India they don’t give utensils is not true”... As you know, this is dependent upon where you are eating.. Even fast food places gives utensils.
Lots of love from Assam , keep up the good work , keep workin keep growin
I'm loving this food challenge Very much.
40:48 David being all Indian and giving dad shit for using his utensils, while dad's thinking "I spent all those years raising my son to be cultured, only for Indians to turn him into a savage!😅
