I had the exact same thing earlier this year with the same result
I subscribed to it for uni, on student prices, they tried to charge me full prices for the cancellation fees lol.

As someone who works on a service desk for a univesity - This is very welcome news. We get complaints often that students have accidentally purchased subscriptions and unfortunetly we have no control over this when deploying the creative cloud suite and we cant even turn off the resubscription notices that popup - its a huge pain

There is an internal guideline inside our administration (dont remember the scope) in Switzerland that Open Source Software should be evaluated before committing to things like Microsoft. Really surprised me. It could be a parting wish from a frustrated tech guy, but anyways. I wouldnt expect that from our government.

One thing that DOJ missed is how hard its to unistall adobe apps after you install them, especially creative cloud, that a spyware that never go away
Revo uninstaller is a must have tool for reasons like this, It's great at removing programs along with all of their traces from the system. All you need is the free version ive been using it for many years.
Use RevoUninstaller. Use the advanced feature. Jayz2cents did a video on how to use it recently.

As an ex-art college student, that Adobe trap thing is one of the most annoying things ever. Like, I don't need it for a year, I need it for a few months. Why do I have to pay the entire year?
I just use clip art studio as I don't have to pay a monthly fee. There are some pros with Photoshop and adobe products, but they aren't worth being trapped. Only reason people still use it is because it's a standard. Kind of like 3DS Max.
Can I just say, the most scummy thing about the adobe ETF is the fact that their student discount is only applicable for one year, then jumps up in price. They also don't really let you know about that until the renewal. So not only are you paying more, but if you decide to cancel, you pay the higher ETF. And if you decide to keep it, it goes to full price the next year, with the even very much higher ETF.
They need to break up the company. It's too hostile to exist.
if they ban my DJI drone I'll be forced to buy and build with parts sourced from China when I learn to make my own drone. Irony at its finest.

The x-ray vision smartphone thing was already done and killed by OnePlus. They had to patch it out of their camera software due to potentially being able to see through clothes.

That was an infrared camera, this is a different technology but yeah, probably won't make it into any consumer device for the same reason
Oh yeah our local TV station did a fine job of covering this.. to show it "didn't work", they put clothes on a teddy bear -- a room temperature teddy bear -- and of course it did nothing. I mean, duh man.
Loved that feature. Hated to see it go. It did not see through clothes, but a lot of other cool stuff like stoves.

X-ray ability??? That brings back memories! Back in 1998, Sony Cybershot video camera had a NIGHTSHOT mode that, with a specific filter over the lens, you could see through certain types of clothes. Sure, the video was a greenish black and white, but it was all the rage in Japan!

If I remember correctly, the camera thing was about some cameras not having physical infrared-blocking filters on their sensors, to try to make them work with less light. A side effect from that, as was later found, was that they could see through some clothing.

As for x-ray vision on phones the easiest/fastest way to implement something like it is to add another camera without the near ir filter and a lense capable of focusing near ir. Anyone that has an old webcam they no longer need can make a similar device already by removing the near ir filter (I'm not sure about new webcams but on old ones the filter is easy to remove without damaging anything else, there's even guides online on how to do it). The image will be slightly blurry because the lense used isn't made to focus near ir and you can't see through everything but some clothes (especially lighter/thinner summer clothes.... you're obviously not going to see through 5 layers of thick winter clothes) are pretty transparent using it. Of course this is ethically problematic but so is everything else that let's you see through things people consider opaque.

Yeah I believe they had some kind of infrared sensor that was meant to aid in picture quality, but could unintentionally see through thin plastic, which also included nylon clothes...
Well this new thing is using roughly high-mmWave frequencies, OnePlus (and really any CCD camera without a filter) was infrared. Neither is truly x-ray.

X3D is still superior. The XTs are bettet-binned newer silicon revision versions of the X CPUs.
IMO, The 5700X3D remains the highest value high performance upgrade for AM4.

I have some issue with my i9 14900KF cpu. I have to use Intel Extreme Tuning Utility to downclock it to be able to play games without my whole PC crashing. Specially DirectX12 games.

A few months ago, they made a big push into their premium tier by paywalling more VPN features. Some of these changes made sense, like was completely disabling the ability to select a region in the free tier, which seems to me to be an effort to balance server load more effectively, as, before this, they definitely had issues with connections sometimes being _very_ fast for a free VPN and at other times slowing to a crawl. However, they also paywalled split tunneling, which seems to me to only increase server load by forcing more traffic through the VPN.
My laptop i9 runs perfectly fine now it's got some liquid metal, about 50C at idle rising to 60 when watching video and up to 85-90 when I'm gaming.
I knew there was microcode artificially limiting the processing power on cpus and now i have confirmation

I had this problem with the i3-13100F, I had to replace it under warranty. It froze as soon as you opened the computer. This is after 4 months of use. I think the problem came from the XMP in the bios, now I keep it disabled.
