My ‘22 XLT hybrid Lux w/CoPilot 360 had a lower MSRP than the ‘25 XL base price. I’d love to get a ‘25 AWD hybrid but the pricing just isn’t right anymore. To spec out a '25 as close as I can to my '22 hybrid XLT Lux/360, the same truck is over $8,000 more than what I paid for mine. It's just ridiculous, but I guess people are happy to pay it so I'll be holding onto my '22 until the wheels fall off it looks like.
I originally ordered the 22 base hybrid. Because I told my wife there will never be another truck to come out at $21,500 let alone a hybrid truck. Then decided I might as well get the cot with lux for the extras I wanted. Now the 25 hybrid awd is available and I want it but with interest rate being so high and the price being so high I can’t afford to do it. I’m going to wait for the mythical plug-in electric hybrid AWD, and hope interest rates go down by then. Crossing my fingers I can make some $$ on the sale of my home next year and that next year the planets align.
@@sammyjammy6647 A bronco came along, and I traded it in at my local dealer. I over did my build, it didn't feel like a 35k thousand dollar car, it just felt kind of cheap. If I could do it again, I would have kept built it as an XL and kept it cheap as possible. Any Maverick over 30k is too much in my opinion. The new pricing is absolutely outrageous, but they will still sell like hotcakes.
@@TheJiggs666 I appreciate your experience with that vehicle. I definitely don’t like cheap feeling cars. And you’re right if somebody’s going to get something like this, keep it under 30k
Just bought a 2024 cactus gray in the XL eco boost AWD.Was $25,468 out the door. I bought it off the lot just the way it was. I blacked out the emblems put the maverick letters on the tailgate. Nice video! Appreciate the trim specific content on the XL. I've heard rumors that the XL has less padding in the seats and worse feeling steering wheel. Do you have any info to confirm that? Thanks & keep up the great work on the Maverick videos!
These utes aren't nearly as cheap as Ford likes to pretend they are. An XLT with AWD and 4K Tow is at least $35k. And it's not a nice enough car to warrant buying one instead of a lightly used Ranger or Tacoma; or even a new Frontier.
They ruin the maverick for 2025. Raised the price on this once affordable vehicle to pricing like any other new car now. Lowered the horspower and discontinued the good colors they offered.
@skydancerforever Agreed, but just to clarify, green states get the lower horsepower because of the gas particulate filter. Non green states don't get the filter and will have the same performance as 2024.
Can you take all that "standard equipment" off and return it back to the 20k price of 2 years back? Cheap truck got massive price increase for shit 90% of people don't want or need in a small cheap truck. Now it hits 30k easily. Smh
I agree, take some of the stuff off and make it cheaper. Then the XLT can all the upgraded safety features. Although at current price it is still the cheapest truck on the market and the cheapest Ford vehicle they make.
You should get an award from Ford for all the promotion and education you provide. ❤😊❤

Great Video Tim. Love that Maverick...
