The MSI has 4 channels for RAM, and per Intel's spec I believe that results in reduced bus speed. If you drop the full 128GB in it you fall all the way back to 3600!
I wish there was a 17” system that looked like this Prometheus with a 500nit display and mechanical keyboard. I would have bought the mech 17 but I need a brighter 500nit display…. Please make one of these I beg you !
It’s “drGUYus” lol! It’s a battlestar galactica reference. I should just stop using it nobody gets it haha. But now my interest is peaked on what surprise I have coming! Best customer experience I’ve ever had. Can’t go wrong with Eluktronics!
When you did the setup for each before the start of the live stream, did you have them that close to each other on the desktop?? That is just a bad play for a serious overclock/benchmark effort. The exhaust from each system is absolutely affecting the other. These laptops need to have PLENTY of room in all four directions, with NOTHING to block/restrict/redirect inbound/outbound air flow. You also simply MUST lift the backs of the laptops up by at least one inch, which will GREATLY improve airflow - with correspondingly improved temps and thus clocks. I would LOVE to see you redo the benchmarks for each with my prescribed setup to see how much of an improvement you get.
Curiously, you seem to have "disconnected" the water cooling just via the control software. If this is the case, that means that your pipes were still full of water, which would be able to absorb a substantial amount of heat before stabilizing. But you ran a benchmark right after it.
Also to note; MSI fans almost always fail after a year to 1.5 years. Won't even mention other quality issues, as I will simply recommend not buying MSI until a new CEO takes over the company.
Keep the great products coming! AMD processors and brushed nickel chaises again please! Been using Eluktronics for 8 years without any issues.

I'm looking forward to MAX 17 with liquid cooling!
I wish I could buy maybe next year they will allow shipping to Puerto Rico. These are really great laptops wish I could buy.
We do ship to PR! Order from out site and you'll be good!
awesome stream
You simply must have mic for every speaker.
What exactly did you tweak to boost their performance? Memory timings? Power limits?

Msi display much better
Idk in the side by side timespy runs, the Eluktronics Mech-17GP2's screen looked noticeably better

I can see right here that MSI has a much better display. Do you have vision problems?
