It was the best review I've watched. Thanks.

Very cool review. All in one. Subscribed . ❤️

Absolutely incredible 😭🔥🍿🐧
This laptop is a real beast and king!
Note to anyone who buys this: Be careful the configuration you put the DDR5 RAM in. They operate in different modes together. If you put it in the wrong configuration, it will lower the speed. Also, the more memory you add, the lower the DDR speed will be. Personally, I feel the best configuration for speed will be 2 32gb sticks (not maxing it out)
I watched a video of a tech who explained the internal spec configuration for this, but I don't remember where it was.
Btw, I have this model (replying on it right now). Leave a comment below if you have a question.
Also, keys to enter advanced BIOS (enter while in advanced section of bios):
Right shift + right ctrl + left alt + f2 (I hold no responsibility if you change something and break your computer).
- When you update for the first time, you will notice suddenly your display is washed out colors. This is fixable. Download DDU utility and completely remove Intel driver. Also uninstall MSI True Color. Then restart, and let windows update reinstall Intel's driver. Then you can reinstall the true color after this. This fixed the display for me.
Also something curious to me is that the computer is reporting 4000mhz as the ram speed
What is the keyboard deck made of? Metal? Plastic? Rubber? I use a G752VS and it has a rubberised or "premium feel" top, which feels really nice and isn't too cold during the winter.
@@Blue-Lady Feels like plastic to me, but I don't hate the feeling either. I wouldn't say it's premium rubber feel or anything, but it doesn't feel cheap to me either. It has a solid feeling to it. I do want to say though that if you're pushing your GPU to the max, the keyboard (even W A S D) keys can get quite hot. I really only experienced that on Halo Infinite (wow, that game is seriously intensive). Sometimes I felt like my fingers were burning. I'm going to get an xbox controller just for ease. Most normal games it wasn't too hot for me
I'd say it definitely won't "get too cold" during the winter though! The screen lid appears to be metal (feels cold to the touch)
Also, RTX 4090 was just released. It might be worth waiting for new laptops that have it. OR, wait for a price drop. I got this laptop because I needed one now (upgrading from a sad 2012 laptop)
Edit: please be aware that my temps are higher since my fans weren't maxed out. The temps will be lower than I stated if you run fans at full power
I have that somewhat washed out color atm...
you're saying there are steps to make the screen look better?... could you give me a link to a video that explains hoe to repair this (GT77 Titan owner)
What are your temps like?
@@MacXtc I keep replying to your comment, but it keeps disappearing. The solution is in my first comment though.
Awesome@ thanks!
The side cable are the major flow of this GT77 i think. In a tiny space configuration i have my mouse and mousepad next to the computer so if there would have cable it would lay over the mouse pad and it would be annoying. Behind is the best place. I would go if i had money on the GE 77
*Hello, can you please tell me about the 4K 120hz screen? What is the adobe Rgb score and the response time. Thank you!*

Thank you. :)
Man fk the RUclips algorithm. Ive searched for MSI GT77 review 5 times and kept getting the same bs videos popping up with only one good one with Jarrod tech but it wasn't a full review. I had to Google it for your channel to even show.
Great vid man. I was seeing if the DUO 16 would be a better option over the GT77.
What do you think is better ?
@@THE-HOLY-SPIRIT performance wise the gt77 is the best rn
@@THE-HOLY-SPIRIT Gt77 has a much higher TGP which means better performance being squeezed out the GPU/CPU. But for display and ease of use id go with the DUO 16. But idk really.
Good thing they had cooling for controller (hub). Most of notebooks lacks this.
FIRST in depth review! congrats. don't know why other reviewers are so late. Already have this laptop in hand last week.
How did you get this one?
@@ambatublow us dot msi dot com if you're in the US
I wish i could own this one someday.. Currently, I own the GE66, which is quite a beast for gaming, but does not perform well for 3D creation and rendering.
The PCIe NVMe - did it have a gen5 SSD in your config? They are really vague on the MSI laptop. Can't order like from Dell/Apple and choose your config directly. Hate the fact you have to go with reseller selection, not your choice for the price of this laptop! Have been told August is when they will hit UK. Nice to see on your website more CPU options too.
Question: I just got my GT77 HX a few days ago. At initial boot during initial MS OS setup, the keyboard had an effect where the letters of the keys having a trailing faded glow upon key press. After setup, this has vanished andvI can't figure out how to get it back. Anyone know?
Hey, can anyone advise on the length of the standard warranty in the UK and can it be extended?
Since you have the 4k model, it would have been really good if you could have included more about the display e.g. how many nits it is, the colour gamut & how colour accurate it is. Some people looking at buying this will be doing so with a view to creative uses, not just gaming. It is a DTR after all. Every man and his dog is doing ports, benchmarks & internals.
I know, I cannot for the life of me get Nits or Color Accuracy data on the screen. Which means it's probably nothing great?
I thought the same thing, Gave it a thumbs down.
The screen is AUODE95 B173ZAN06.1 400nits.
The screen color is amazing. It has several different color profiles, some of them cover sRGB and other specs. I believe it will cover your creative uses just fine.
Just note when you do windows update, screen will wash out. To fix that, completely uninstall Intel drivers with DDU utility and MSI true color, then reboot, let windows install intel driver again, and you can install MSI true color after. This will fix it. If you ever saw any review that says screen is washed out, this is why. The screen itself is great and looks great once you fix the drivers.
Plastic chassis? No magnesium or alluminium? Cover? Thx!
Are you able to trun it down from 4k to about 1440p ?
BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HE KILLED IT
Please, make the GE67 HX OLED review
Could you do some gaming benchmarks?
Omg that monster
If I hadn't gotten the MSI GE76 Raider 17.3" RTX3080 (11UH-053) this past October 2021, I would have gotten this one, but extremely happy with my purchase, I do like the connections at the back to remove clutter from the sides, and those side exhausts do release plenty of heat. Even now have not had the need to improve the cooling with a fan-base, the current fans do their work very nicely.
Very good review, if I win the next lottery soon, I may purchase the Titan just for kicks. 😁👍
this is insane laptop
A few years a go I bought an MSI laptop and was pleased to get the MSI backpack. Unfortunately it didn’t survive the first bus trip and the stitches pulled out. I hope this backpack is better quality.
Msi's software made me swap the entire rig. Horrible mess, almost as bad as Gigabyte.
@@the1observer You mean the Dragon software? I never used it.
You'll be glad to know it comes with no backpack. (At least mine didn't). So no possibility of stiches falling apart since there's no backpack
@@megumin4625 Yes the new MSI Raider didn’t come with a backpack, so the stiching problem is resolved.

Hello...I am concerned on the fan noise when running a game like city skyline or diablo 3...can you show or tell us how load they are compared to using the laptop for normal email or web and RUclips applications..?
It is very quiet in normal mode. most of the time I cannot even hear it. It will get loud during gaming though (but I don't mind it). If you pay attention (at least to my unit), there is some coil whine. It's not much, and I never noticed it until I tried to listen for it. I don't mind it. The cooling is excellent: best I've had for a laptop. GPU stays under 80c pretty much always. Most of the time at 70c or in between 70 and 80. Mind you, the fans were not maxed out at this temp. If they were, the temps would be even lower.
Most normal usage has CPU/GPU sitting around 50c for me, fans pretty silent
U meant HX not hk for the cpu right?
It's shame, that GT series go slim...
It could've been much quiter and lower temps if they use bigger radiators with more thick fans. Also because of that laptap could've been more wedge shape with more ergonomical orientension of keyboard and at least 1 slot for sata.
No one uses sata in laptops anymore it takes too much space
Lol Sata ? Naaah
@@rakimmalik180 if you don't need it and have good amount of extra cash to spend on m.2 drives, good for you
@@rakimmalik180 my aorus 17x has sata plus 2 m.2 bays which allows me to have a ton of space for cheap. M.2 drives cost a lot more than sata.
@@JakubixIsHere correct, they use that space to expand the battery size.
I really wish they'd just take the batteries out of the very high end gamer laptops and use that space for additional cooling or literally any other feature. I've been using laptops exclusively for gaming since the days of Far Cry 1 and I've probably not spent more than 10 hours on battery in those 18+ years.
I partly agree. I think they should use a smaller battery

Question for you what is the battery life like with no load low load and on full load(on low battery life and on maximum performance).... I know not to expect amazing battery life just wondering though. I do have to say I am kind of sad that they are putting in Samsung SSD instead of their own M480's into it...
after owning 3 MSI Titans... the battery is just there so you can move it from one room to another, then plug it back in... or to give you a moment to shut it down safely when there's a power failure... it's not for gaming or any kind of extended use... It sure as Hell won't make any noticeable use of that 3080ti card... This is A Portable Desk top / Not a Laptop in the traditional sense...
I want this but the 4K screen just isn't futureproof for a laptop. I wish there was a 1440P or 1080P version, or am I wrong, and can you just play 1080P on the 4K screen and not tell the difference?
4K 120Hz is futureproof. you can change resolution to 1080P or connect to a 1080P monitor.
@@GenTechPC Hi, thank you for the response. Does 1080P look just as good as it would on a native monitor? Can you use 1440P and it'll still look as good as a native monitor?

Great,, Please show us how does it handle games,, 30 or 50 mins gaming video
I really wish they would've put the AC power port on the back. Other than that, I'm excited to receive mine by the end of this month.
I did buy a 240W slim adapter for when I'm traveling.
The motherboard doesn't reach that far, they use the space in the back to add more fans and extend heatpipes, but yes, would be nice to have power port in the back.
Believe it or not, where the power port is, it's actually better for me and much better designed than the GT83 was (2 heavy power bricks connected together with a ridiculous center connector which had a habit of constantly falling out) ... this new side design, clicks in and stays put... and is low enough to stay out of the way...
What's the M.2 thickness allowed for those 4 slots? I'm wondering if the drives have to be with a sticker-type heat spreading or can the laptop actually support some radiator-equipped/thicker heat-spreader-equipped used on higher performance drives?
It's the same as other M.2 slot you can add thermal pads on both side, but probably not to thick on the top. Except if you install Sabrent SSD which is doubled sided IC then you probably won't be able to put thick pads on the bottom.
@@GenTechPC So basically anything with an integrated radiator is out of the picture, even those with integrated heatsinks such as Firecuda 530 Heatsink is probably out as it's 11.04mm thick with those integrated heatsinks, but maybe eg. WD SN850 Heatsink fits at 8.8mm thick or Sammy 980 Pro Heatsink at 8.6mm? Maybe any double-sided M.2 drive without a heatsink, usually at 3.5mm thick, plus something like the EK M.2 Heatsink at 3.5mm(top)+1mm(pad)+3.5mm(the 2-sided M.2)+0.5mm+1mm(bottom)=9.5mm total thickness is also not possible, or maybe they fit? Otherwise, the potential for M.2 at PCIe4 (let alone gen 5) has been made impossible to adequately use in such a performance-focused machine... Could you check eg. some of those drives with integrated heatsinks and eg. whatever 2-sided drive you have encased in eg. EK's or any other heatsinks?
I bet alot of people would like to know if the performant disks were not thermally hampered or if they actually could be used with the heatsinks on, cause it looked like the M.2s had no heatsink covers/plates akin to that RAM cover... so whether it's integrated heatsink M.2s verified or bare stickers only M.2s with potential for overheating/throttling?
@@GenTechPC I've just got an answer from MSI central support team - GT77 has been tested/verified to work solely with single-sided M.2s without any heatisnks, specifically these drives are the ones officially approved by MSI (and possibly these are the ones offered in various regions): MICRON/MTFDKBA512TFH, SAMSUNG/MZVL2512HCJQ-00B00, SAMSUNG/MZVL22T0HBLB-00BTW, SAMSUNG/MZVL21T0HCLR-00B00, MICRON/MTFDKBA1T0TFH, WESTERN DIGITAL/SDCPNRZ-2T00-1032... so basically "the best" one tested by MSI for GT77 is Sammy PM9A1 2TB... The support has not offered any further details on possible thin heatspreader options capability or 2-sided M.2s that are undergoing testing... so I guess customers will have to test themselves.
@@marcin_karwinski They put the thermal pads at the bottom. But either way, you would want to add thermal pads on it.
Good question, I almost got a Razer Blade until I saw "We support 4TB on Drive 2, but they have to be single sided. Bye."
I just bought one... I'm going to lose an inch of screen compared to my GT83VR... but that faster refresh should make up for it... this will be my 3rd TITAN model...
picking it up from my mailbox tomorrow (I'm an OTR Trucker)... I just dread the weeks it'll take to get everything up to snuff, Steam, Rockstar, Uplay, Origin, GOG accounts switched over... just the general setup
will take weeks... but, For the love of PC gaming and all...
What are your temps? In idle I'm reaching 48/49/50c overall (CPU + GPU), in gaming I usually reach about 69/70c (but super demanding games could reach 75c)
@@megumin4625 your right... the GT77 does seem to run a bit warm...

something about excessive memory usage...
@@megumin4625 I'll need to recheck my temps to give you a better answer... it runs a bit warm, but nothing off the charts ... I boost the fans when I play games like Farcry 5 & 6... Cyberpunk, GTA5, RDR2 etc...

Law of diminishing returns considering how expensive and heavy this is. Thought the scores would be higher with that much wattage for the GPU.
My refurbished Alienware for $1462, i7 12700H, 3070ti (140W) and it gets 29,250 in Firestrike Graphics and 11,433 in Timespy graphics.
Cinebench gets 17,456 and a Legion 5 pro will get near 18,500 for comparison.
On a side note, I bought a Sager(clevo) from Gentech in 2019. They were nice and helpful, but I regret the liquid metal upgrade since it bonded to my heat sink within a year of owning the laptop. @@justswitched8841 Not saying the laptop doesn't have some great features, all I'm saying is you're paying an extraordinary price for it.
If I'm only getting 15- 20% better performance compared to a $1500 laptop, I just don't think it's good value. Add in the fact it's big, huge power brick, and can't be charged via USB-C and costs $4500, just makes it a really niche laptop to me.

great thing to connect to an interesting 8k TV would be the price of this laptop
They are still using square power connectors that were problematic in the GT76 series, time will tell in forums discussions as to their reliance. The cherry mechanical keyboard is the right thing to do instead of the problematic steelseries keyboards. Why do MSI put a ST9500325AS Sata 5400rpm 500GB hard drive in a high end laptop in this day and time when there is 4 Nvme slots and the Nvme drives are priced low these day to buy.
Interesting because I've always wondered if square power connectors are inherently bad?
I know Lenovo legions use them and I read about those power ports going bad faster/quicker than normal barrel shaped.
My Clevo needed mine replaced after like 3 years and the guy who resoldered the port said legions are the worst for it.
Basically said he has fixed more power connectors on those than any other laptop brand/model and they're all square shaped...
