I just got one tonight , and I agree about the power steering , but Im sure I’ll get used to it . The 310 hp V6 is awesome . I just love the way it looks as well ( I got the Tactical Green Pro X model .
I’m a retired HS Dr. Ed. Teacher-I would’ve shown that video to the kids if available for a vehicle 2020 or earlier. I have a 2023 Pro X. Love it. Wanted something smaller than my F150 Ford. You nailed it on the steering-I don’t mind it, the manuel slide window, and the phone charger pad. Little things. Great job man
I got a pro x 5 months ago. Check the roof gutters where the bondo puts the panels together. My 2023 had paint cracking already. That said I’ve owned 4 other frontiers and this things drives brilliantly. I truly love it. Aside from having the cab repainted under warranty….
@@generalatwork I’m not really bothered by the PS, I’ve driven everything on both ends of the spectrum. 1971 Dodge truck that took 3 men and a mule to turn the wheel to my 1960 Pontiac Bonneville that can be turned with your pinky at a full stop.
I have a Pro4-x with the leather and Fender sound system. It’s been a great truck. The hydraulic steering takes a little getting used to but I honestly prefer it now.
@@generalatworkbeen driving a Pro4-X for about 3 weeks now. And honestly, somehow I don’t notice the heavy steering…it actually feels just right. Very happy with the truck so far!
I bought a JT Rubicon Diesel in 2021, in my opinion, the most capable mid size truck out there for the off roader and weekend handyman. It is also hands down the most expensive and the price keeps bloating. If I had to buy today, a Frontier Pro4X might be in my sights as the best overall value.
Got a Pro4x for $39k, MSRP $43k, plus they forgot to add the cost of the dealer installed spray in liner 😂. After owning a Ranger FX4 XLT and a trash Tacoma, im pretty happy
Nice. Honestly if I was to get a pickup truck I think I would lean towards this one for a few different reasons and just get used to the power steering.
Nice review, I think the Frontier is a much better option than most everything else in it's class.I like the base S model in 4wd with a few basic adds for about $36 K where I live. Normally aspirated V/6 for the win.
I have a 2017 frontier which is fuel port injection…The new frontier my concern is that 100 percent direct injection carbon ups the engine . The Toyota has both direct and duel port injection and does not have the carbon contamination issues that the frontier has. The new stout Toyota looks really attractive in my eyes
Great review! Thank you. I will be looking at the new Frontier when my 2017 wears out. Or...if it wears out. I have had good luck with Nissan's trucks. They are extremely durable. And, if you're wanting a V6, Nissan is the only game in town. Aside from the Ridgeline, of course.
Great review. It's cool to see prices and insurance to give an idea. I will be going pick up my 24 pro x (pro x base with no extra add ons) Saturday if nothing unusual happens. They are holding for me.
@@BrendanDeSantisI've only went through one tank of gas but I absolutely love it. I don't really have any complaints but I am coming from a 2006 mazda b2300
They had the highest sale in this year's quarter which tells you alot that many people want a simple but proven naturally aspirated V6 rather than those overpriced bling out trucks with tiny 4 cylinder turbos. more and more middle class people starts to tighten their budget and it does trickle with their choice of vehicle
@@generalatwork they went cheap with the non locking gas door and the one touch windows for driver only....and the power seats for the driver only... But, it's a great truck for sure. 👍
Yes the turnin radius sucks ..I remember when I first got it and was tryin to get out of Lowes parkin lot I think I hit the curb and was like hmm not like my like my Ford Ranger I see😂
I was in the market for a little truck. I love the Frontier but since The Canyon elevation was selling for $30k plus tax, I had to get it. I can’t afford a $40k plus truck. The canyon was lifted by factory, the nice off road wheels and tires, trailer tow package, spray in bed liner and upgraded alternator. At that price for a new truck, you can’t go wrong.
Agree the Frontier Pro X is a great value especially if you do not want a turbo. I went with a Tacoma just because of Toyota fanboy loyalty. Nice video!
In my younger days I drove nothing but cars without power steering. I love the heavy feel. I don't get why people complain about it
Congratulations, first guy I've seen adding in the Sales Tax. Most reviewers just pretend it doesn't exist. You know, like a Salesman!

Almost a month with my Pro4x. I love it. I like the steering feel. I think electric power steering has spoiled everyone.
I’m guilty of the electric power steering hahah 😭
This video is a Pro-X, not Pro-4X bozo.
Same here it’s solid
@@Ac22768Its the same thing without 4x4

I would like to see Nissan add a 6 foot bed option for the pro 4x, better cameras, and lane assist for those long drives.
2025 will have 6 ft bed
Fun fact the new gen Toyota Tundras have been recalled for engine issues. Props to Nissan for keeping the N/A V6
Hmm interesting That's for that info.

What was going on with your paint?
Is it white?
Love the steering , you appreciate it on high speed interstate driving.
I have a 2023 Pro-X in that same color. I absolutely love it!
I must say I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did, but honestly what’s not to like. (Other than the power steering)😅

A week ago I got a sv 4x4 longbed, I love it.
Good review BTW 👍 , thanks .
Great old school truck feel!
My experience with it was great outside of the hydraulic steering.
Great review
I have 24 p4x and its a great truck
Dont let steering bother you its really ligh
Thank you. You’re right about the steering. I’m sure if it was my daily driver I will get use to it quick
I have a Pro4-x with the leather and Fender sound system. It’s been a great truck. The hydraulic steering takes a little getting used to but I honestly prefer it now.
Honestly overall I like what Nissan did with the Frontier over the Toyota Tacoma line. That steering is a deal breaker for me though. 😅

Interesting insight. I’m noticing Nissan is more on the budget friendly side, but also very functional.

Had to go through a few buckets to land on the one. 😅
Its a fantastic truck !!!! I love mine and i wouldnt want any other truck
Great informative review!
Thanks for watching!
Why you comparing the full size tundra to a midsize frontier? Supposed to be the tacoma?
I got a 2024 pro4x last week. I love it. Fully loaded in Baja Storm.

I don't think you mentioned towing capacity. But good review anyway.
didnt kno they had a pro x only saw 4x.....anyone know the differences?
Pro x is a rear wheel drive only pro 4 x is 4 x4 with rear differential! Diff not on pro x
I live in Canada and this truck is $60 thousand!! I love the naturally aspirated V6! No 4 banger for me or hybrid! 👎🏻 🇨🇦✌🏻
Interesting.
Best midsize truck for the $$ and std V6 is a big advantage over the turbo 4’s vs the competition. I think it will last far longer .
Very nice!
Thanks!
my local dealers say we cant order n build what we want.....
I'm looking at the Frontier in 2x and Pro 4x. It's the cheapest truck on the market for 4x4.
Toyota men I have 2019 4Runner 2021 tundra and the new 2024 Tacoma they are trustworthy
Good review
Thank you!
Love mine. My only gripe is the turning radius is pretty bad. And I wish the gas door locked
Yeah that was the only thing I didn’t love about it. Turning that thing is tough. 😅

I love my 23 Pro-X aside from the turning. Its like I stepped back into the pre-power steering era.
I would have to agree with that. That’s literally the only problem I came across in the short time I had it. 😅
Agree the Frontier Pro X is a great value especially if you do not want a turbo. I went with a Tacoma just because of Toyota fanboy loyalty. Nice video!
Thanks for sharing. I’m a fan of Toyota as while.
Post 2016 Tacomas sucks. I had a 2021 TRD OR and I recently drove a 2024 TRD OR. Garbage.
Agreed. And price is far better than Tacoma. But personally I’m not a fan of the front grill, to me that is.
yeah this one is definitely underrated, but I'm noticing a lot of people giving it a chance.
I like the steering. It's a truck. And it should feel like a truck.
@@davidboyce5007 that’s a fair point. Guess I’m just not a truck guy 😅
Nice truck 🛻
I agree. I did enjoy reviewing it.
The 2025 is going to be a game changer. It’s gonna take Toyota Tacoma, out of the market.
Like the truck but stearing sucks , it almost feels like they forgot to put a belt on stearing pump
Unibody truck's ride quality is street superior. It would be hard to go back to body-on-frame. Unibody trucks are so misunderstood.
I live in the South no rear passenger AC vents is a no sale for me. Unfortunately, only GMC & Chevy listened to their customers.
I can see how that’s a deal breaker for sure. 😅
This is a midsize truck so the cabin isn't that big. It will cool down in no time.
Nice just wish they would make a manual for use truck guys. 😢
Why anyone would own a 4X2 beats me.
Nissan is NO Toyota maybe better than the 2024 Toyo but that's it.
