I'm thinking to update my beanies I will add a brooch, or pins to them! I am getting out my chunky necklaces from a few seasons ago, glad they are back. Thanks Love, this video was perfection.
I couldn't agree more! Sunglasses are a must-have accessory all year round. They not only protect your eyes but also add a touch of style to any outfit.
Love sunglasses all year round. Love big dark pearls. Other accessories people often don't think about are our electronic cases and sleeves. I recently nerded out and ordered a new snap case for my iPhone, a folder for my iPad and a sleeve for my laptop that are all variations of my favourite colour, some a pattern and one solid. They also work with my tote bag and I didn't have to spend a ton on them. It's not something to wear exactly....but.... I put it in this category as it's in my bag, and it's a pleasure to use and affects my mood. Oh, and they match my sunnies too!! hahaha...😆
I love pearls and wear them a lot. At age 63, though, I feel that classic strands would make me look like I never updated my style! They’re great for younger woman, but I wear those that are a bit more modern styles, with “gold” elements in them. My favorites that I really have worn for years are my pearl and gold station necklace and my pearl drop earrings. Pearls work beautifully with my Soft coloring and tailored, but ladylike, style. I’ve also been having fun with vintage fakes, especially the button earrings of the 80s, they’re very high quality for fashion jewelry. I know big, bold jewelry is the trend now, but being small, I probably won’t go too chunky. I have an especially small head and face, and I don’t want to look like a little girl in Mom’s things.
I definitely wear sunglasses in the winter. For some reason, the sun almost seems brighter to me during the cooler months. Probably because the air quality is cleaner.
I love that all of these are accessory pieces... It doesn't cost much to grab a hat, some socks, and a scarf... Plus, you can keep these items in your wardrobe for some time... Thanks, Leonie...😊
I’m so happy that fitted styles are back! I just got two long coats that are tailored overall and with fitted waists. (I’m having to replace my entire wardrobe because I went from a size 16 to a 6 over the last ten years or so and nothing I have fits). It’s a bit painful to spend so much, all-wool, viscose-lined coats, my only choice, are expensive. But now I’m set for winter! I held out for three years to see if the weight would come back, but it hasn’t, I think it’s age-related, now that I’m in my 60s. I didn’t want one of those oversized monstrosities, either, clothes are looking good again, at last!
That's amazing! It's always a great feeling when you find clothes that fit perfectly and make you feel confident. Enjoy your new coats and rock them this winter!
News boy caps are a staple for me. They are great for rain hats. I love them. I am a hat person. I also use a blanket scarf always. Keep it layered and cozy…
Ty Leonie, Another informative video. I'm really loving the pearl trend as I've always worn them anyway at least twice a week in some form of a jewelry piece. Have a lovely week.
I wear sunglasses year round. Here in Canada, when you have a sunny winter day with the sun reflecting off the snow, it is just as important, if not more important, to wear sunglasses as it is in the summer.
Absolutely! Protecting your eyes from the sun's rays is crucial all year round, especially when there's snow reflecting that sunlight. Keep rocking those sunglasses!
Great points. Love all. Have most. Happy that long gloves in style. I dont really wear warm ones, here in SF, but have Chanel lace ones, maybe can be able to style some kind of way🤔 and need some different socks. Love blanket trend. I think its very useful, in SF, especially by the Ocean in December. I have wool hat with veil . Love wear for years, and in summer, when prices were low, got Chanel earmuffs with pearl headband😜. Last year i froze my ears, so now i am set 🙌😜 Have a blessed day🙏❤️
Absolutely! Pearls have stood the test of time and continue to be a classic and elegant choice for any fashion-forward individual. Keep rocking that pearl jewelry!
I just found a unique piece and got it for its uniqueness - just realised listening to you, it has a single (fake) pearl nestled in like a ladle setting with a twirl at the top. Reminded me of a quaver (musical note) which is why I fell in love with it. Love arm warmers! So quick to pull off if you warm up! Good as extra layer hiking or at home. Don’t wear sunglasses in winter because I forget and I’m forever regretting it, especially when driving, because the sun is lower and gets right in your eyes. As an occasional migraine sufferer my eyes are particularly sensitive to bright light. So I need to get my act together on this!
Love this content!.. seeing this has made me realize that I love accessories. Sometimes I feel I add too many accessories- when actually it "finishes" an outfit. Thank you for helping me recognize this.😊
Yeah I made it a point to have my wedding bands mixed metals in white and yellow gold. Plus I’ve been a huge fan of David Yurman jewelry since I was in my early twenties and he is the designer of my wedding ring which is a stack and I adore it. Matches everything ❤
The glasses!! My prescription glasses look exactly like the ones you showed. I like the shape so much that I have two pair in different colors. I wear bifocals so I can't really wear contacts, so I have several pair of rectangular sunglasses that I wear over my glasses. Who knew I was so cool.
Hold on to your seat, but strings of pearls look best on guys! I feel like the classic pearls make me look old, but I do have a couple necklaces that have pearl nuggets mixed w other small beads. They look especially nice with an all-black or dark outfit. Or if you affixed a big charm to that classic pearl necklace, it would look more modern I think.
The only time I don't wear sunglasses outside is night time. I don't care if it's overcast or rainy, if it's daytime, I always have on sunglasses when I'm out. They are my favorite accessory and if I could have a dozen pairs I would. Sadly, I wear prescription shades, so they are expensive. I think the nice thing about following trends with accessories is you don't have to necessarily spend a lot of money on them (prescription shades aside). Many of them do n't take up much room in the closet either. I think it's a great way to wear trends. Great video as always!
Thank you for these selections! I appreciate also how you wrote “#12” etc in the video to correspond to the links in the description box. So helpful. Love the chunky necklaces. ❤❤❤
Hi Leonie . Great information, happy that jeweled hats are in. Colorful socks not for me, chunky necklace, bracelets, pearls yes. Praying for Peace 🙏🙏 so much tragedy here 💔
@@Thestyleinsider. hi yes thanks me & my family safe - praying for this horrific situation to end - it’s truly devastating & heartbreaking 💔 Thanks so much for your care it means a lot to me ❤️
Of course sunglasses are a necessity year round to keep us from squinting & protect our eyes, and, in my opinion, they are the BEST accessory to make an outfit (along with your bag)! However, the sock trend has to be for very young women with very slender & long legs. Wearing socks with a skirt or dress would make a woman over 35 look like she’s either lost her mind or desperately trying to look young (which ages you more). And regardless of age, if your legs are on the shorter side or not model thin, cutting them off with socks will make them look even shorter & maybe bigger than they actually are.
From a practical standpoint, wearing socks is great, I never stopped because I hate the way bare toes in closed shoes feel. But, as a petite, it’s visually shortening, so I haven’t been brave enough to wear them with my skirts and dresses. Maybe over matching tights, so there’s no horizontal break there? My ankles are skinny, that might be ok.
Love all these trends. I absolutely love blanket scarves but it just never got cold enough in the Bay of Plenty to wear them. I have 5 newsboy hats in different colours and fabrics - all brought recently from Op shops for no more than $5. I wear them almost daily - great for when my hair will not behave as I don't take them off, all day.
We got our first big chill, and it was a shocker because we went from 90F degrees to 40F and we just were not ready for it and it was hard to turn on the heater for some (like me) that had not had it on during the day to burn off that horrible smell. So, first night I put a towel in the microwave for a few minutes and put it under the blanket. This video came just in time for me to remind me about accessorizing and wearing my statement pieces just for everyday looks. I think I told you about the great maxi trench coat I just thrifted but I just purchased a maxi black hooded cape off of Poshmark for $40 and it heavy and going to be great over jeans/black leather leggings or an evening dress. I do believe I have several long-knitted gloves and some leather ones and I need to make sure that I do any mending on my knits so they are ready to go. I think I actually put a newsboy hat in a cart with some other things and forgot about it. Enjoyed the examples you provided in with this video. Thanks for sharing and blessings to you and all in the days to come.
I feel like pearls and mixed metals have been happening for at least a year now, maybe even two. Actually, they’re classics. Also, for the love, a couple years ago, it was chunky jewelry, last year more dainty and now it’s chunky again. I mean, why don’t the people in fashion trends just say it’s all good whenever.
Standing at 5'2", the oversized wrap seems like not an option for me. To have on a winter coat and then wrap it with basically a blanket seems weighted and too much fabric for my petite frame.
I have pearl studded beanies and sequin appliqué sweater hair bands that I wear every winter. I may diy my plain beanies this year. Love my TinCup pearl necklaces. I wear them quite a few times a year. I love sweater vests and knit arm warmers combo. They are perfect for CA winter. I am selling chunky cuffs, pearl jewelries, belts, and vintage chunky jewelry pieces right now on my Poshmark. I hope this video would help moving these treasured items (from donation to fund raise).
I wear sunglasses outdoors in every weather unless it’s stormy. It’s our urban environments causing reflections and glare. I noticed that when we were at our cabin in the wilderness, I didn’t really need them; no buildings, cars, highways, etc., and it was always green and had lots of trees. I spent a lot of time in deserts, too, and definitely need them there, always. I wear prescription glasses, so I feel luxurious having a choice of two prescription styles currently, I never could afford that before. I always get Polaroid lenses, my eye doctor told me that wearing only dark-tinted ones actually increase solar radiation damage to the eyes, compared to wearing nothing, because it dilates the pupils without adding any protection. jeweled beanies - no pearls - yes long gloves - yes cinched waists/belts - yes cuffs - no, no, I never want to look like a gladiator again chunky necklaces - of course! visible socks - yes newsboy/pageboy caps - yes; I am definitely in favor of more classic hat styles huge scarves - this is fine if you're cold, but I don't think it's on-trend winter sunglasses - absolutely rectangular shades - maybe?
I really like all of these!!! It’s just a shame because I live in Australia where things are starting to warm up! 😮also I am a sunglass addict I wear them all year round even on cloudy days sometimes if it’s glarey (I have sensitive eyes)
Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you liked the video. Even though it's warming up in Australia, you can still rock those sunglasses and protect your sensitive eyes!
I'm so excited for these trends! The newsboy caps are my favorite, and blanket scarves are amazing. It's so warm where I live that a scarf like that is all I need half the time. For the socks, would you say it's okay to wear something like a wedge sandal? I have so many great socks that I'm excited to show them off!
I'm thinking to update my beanies I will add a brooch, or pins to them! I am getting out my chunky necklaces from a few seasons ago, glad they are back. Thanks Love, this video was perfection.

I really love the trending style you showed. The socks with sandals look is awesome.. Great.. Thank you. 👍😊😇

I love sunglasses and I own a lot of them and have been spending a lot of money because I love Gucci, Dior, Chanel, etc. LOL
Absolutely loved all of your fashion ideas. One of my favorite videos.
Yay! Thx for watching 🙏🏼
I probably wear sunglasses even more in the winter because the sun reflects so brightly off of the snow we get here in Vermont. Great video as always!
Ahh that makes a lot of sense.
Great video! The Socks are definitely an ode to Audrey Hepburn.(personally I don't think they look right on anyone over 22
Fair enough!
I love pearls.i have one from mejuri in mind.its a smaller pears necklace

Cakep banget KK..❤❤
Blimey, I have a pearl necklace from Givenchy, will have to get it out
Perfect!
Wonderful!
Thanks for the tip!
jeweled beanies - no
pearls - yes
long gloves - yes
cinched waists/belts - yes
cuffs - no, no, I never want to look like a gladiator again
chunky necklaces - of course!
visible socks - yes
newsboy/pageboy caps - yes; I am definitely in favor of more classic hat styles
huge scarves - this is fine if you're cold, but I don't think it's on-trend
winter sunglasses - absolutely
rectangular shades - maybe?
Wow very beautiful ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Sunglasses all year round
I really like all of these!!! It’s just a shame because I live in Australia where things are starting to warm up! 😮also I am a sunglass addict I wear them all year round even on cloudy days sometimes if it’s glarey (I have sensitive eyes)
Thanks for your comment! I'm glad you liked the video. Even though it's warming up in Australia, you can still rock those sunglasses and protect your sensitive eyes!
9:39 Actually, I don't own any baseball caps 😁

I'm so excited for these trends! The newsboy caps are my favorite, and blanket scarves are amazing. It's so warm where I live that a scarf like that is all I need half the time. ❤❤❤
I wear sunglasses 🕶️ all year. I have sensitive eyes 👀
No seriously, pearls are a trend that makes sense
Not sure about the headbands. We wore them in high school.
Personally i hate Belts
It's hard to take advice from an influencer when the outfit they are wearing is horrible.
