There's definitely something for everyone which is fantastic but I encourage everyone to check their closets and drawers before making any purchases, you might be surprised how many of these trends you already own especially if you are an older gal like me 😅, also secondhand shopping is a great way to save some 💰 if you want to partake in a trend
Oh my gosh Leonie, being 63, so many of these trends take me way back in time.. the wooden bangles, mismatched earrings, party bags, I still have a wooden belt that I loved so have kept all these years (will fish that out!), big silver hoops, colourful beads, chokers too. So happy they're all trending. I love your new haircut! (also, gorgeous colourful artwork at 12:16 ) As always, I love all the visuals. Thanks for another great vid 😍
Great video. 😊 No to mismatched earrings for me. Just looks like a mistake. Can’t see me wear socks with sandals either. Socks with trainers .. no problem. Love the silver trend.
Absolutely loved this video!!! I'm not a fan of mismatched earnings, or socks with sandals. It's so helpful to see what's modern and I found many ideas very wearable! Thanks for making this video!❤
There sure are some trends that I could see myself wearing! Red handbag, belts, odd earrings, layered neckaces, rosettes and festive handbags! Thanks for a fun update! Bye from 🇸🇪🌤🌻
I love the mismatched earrings trend: I have a sun and moon one, hummingbird and flower one as well as robot steampunk ones….yes on the red accessories as they really pop; the socks look may depend on the style of sandal; yes on the silver jewelry because I found out silver is in my color season; yes to the color beads as a friend gifted me a rainbow beaded necklace…much love from Seattle, Washington.
Love your video. I never understood why we had to wear matching earrings , so I love the new trend. No shoes/socks for me. Give me silver, I totally love it. Scarfs are so chic and an uplifting accessory. Thanks again.
As always great video Leonie !! So well researched and trends depicted perfectly!! I’m 67 and I’m going to try the Mary Jane with a short sock !! I have a beautiful pair of Doc Marten Mary Jane’s :) have a lovely day Leonie ❤thank you Barb
About 25 years ago, I must have started the double belt trend!!!! lol I wore them all the time it was my thing! Happy to see that other people love it as much as I did.
Great video, Leonie! I'm here for the silver jewelry, the baseball cap (great for bad hair days), red bags, chokers (I have a long neck), socks with trainers (not with sandals), scarves and belts. Not a fan of mismatched earrings or of piling on too much jewelry. I'm petite with a small frame, so I tend to stay away from anything too chunky or oversized, in jewelry, bags or clothes.
Been wearing mismatched earrings for many years so glad they are back, don’t like Mary Jane’s but my daughter loves them, glad to see belts back and red accessories ❤️ lovely video, thank you
I have always owned Mary Janes. A classic versatile shoe. So easy to dress up or down. Totally going to rock the socks with them. I saw that in Italy years ago and have been doing it since. I’m pulling scarves out more. Wore one as a belt recently. Seems I only need to shop my closet to be on trend this year. Love it! ❤ BTW You are the only fashion trend content I watch. So spot on. You make it easy to dig out stuff I already own and give it a fresh look. Cheers 🥂
I don't have enough places to go to be able to wear all the fashion I have accumulated! I am having fun making necklaces again. Thanks for a great video.
Love to accessorize! I’m not a double bag person but love the mixed matched earrings, reminds me of the 80s when I wore them in college. Can do the mixed metals, and Tiffany must be loving the silver trend. Everywhere i read, baseball caps are so american and target you as a tourist. Is this trend an American one? Who don’t love socks! But with skirts and shorts, to me it’s very young not for my demographic.
I like most of these, and almost always carry 2 bags for practically since I’m always going places by foot in London (one small for essentials/valuables and one large tote (light leather or canvas), especially when travelling. Was in Paris last weekend and many women there do the same, as well as the mismatched earrings. I’ve been wearing specific sandal toe socks w/birkenstock thong sandals lately and had no idea that was a trend. And I almost always wear a baseball cap! Not sure about wearing the scarf over it though.
I’ve been wearing Monica Vinedar mismatched earrings that I created I’ve collected her line for years all the others you mentioned have been in my personal playbook in San Diego Makes me feel good and relevant at 67 😂😹🌊
I don’t get the double bag trend, I would think you would be at risk for accidentally dropping one or something and it seems like it would make you vulnerable to getting one, or both, snatched. For your own safety I think it’s best to have one bag and hold it close to your body. Even when traveling I try to keep things as condensed as possible so as not to lose something. The rest of the trends I am totally here for! Thanks for the video ❤
Birks and Adidas shoes with scrunchie, textured socks work good for me, lightweight socks with loafers work as well. I love my shorter necklaces layered , but chokers aren’t really my jam..I like them on other people. Love the content!
Really enjoyed this video. There are a few trends here that I could get on board with. Happy to see silver trending as I love silver. I'm cool toned and look much better in silver and I mostly wear silver/white gold regardless if it is in or not. Now I can stock up. I also like the party bags. I have been seeing a lot of belts lately and while I don't typically wear belts I have been thinking of getting a few. I specifically want a white belt with silver hardware for summer. Always loved Mary Jane shoes and on the lookout for a cute pair. I like layered necklaces but I only like to layer two together for a more minimal look. I like beads too and I think they look good layered with a chain necklace but they have to be the right beads. I like smaller beads. A big noooo for me is mismatched earrings and socks and shoes. I don't see these trends sticking around too long. I find the scarf and ball cap trend laughable. I have noticed a lot more straw and raffia bags this summer. I guess they are always here in summer but seems to me there are a lot more this year.
I just came from the optometrist and I looked at the glasswear: what they're called layered glasses which is a puffy frame think something like puffer jackets and like you mentioned thin metal frames. I went with an octagonal half red and half gold frame. I love chokers but since I'm petite it's a no go.
You are making me look forward to accessorizing (I was just going through a box of stuff and found some jewelry) because that is one category I do have lots of in so many categories but don't take the time to plan it out nor have them readily available for me to see.
Well, yes, reminds too much of work, where you need a big /tote bag for your laptop and papers, but you want a smaller one for lunch or drinks or errands after work, so you run around with both often... 😅
When I worked, always wore 2 bags... one for the everyday staff and the other for the staff of that particular day (raincoat if it was a rainy day, lunch, book to return to the library and so on). I looked kind of a homeless... good idea to pay attenzione to this critical aspect of outfits...
I think the double bag trend is really practical. If you have loads of things to carry, maybe a large rucksack, on the back, and a small cross body bag, for easy access to your phone, purse...
I have the Kate Spade double bag in red and pink which has been perfect for the Spring and Summer. It works well with my personal style - pop of colour and not too big
It must be my age therefore ive been around the fashion-block at least once or twice and my heavy entrance into "quiet luxury/old money" aesthetics but trends no longer excite me. I'll still enjoy your videos though 😊
Mmmmmm . . . NO on the mismatched earrings. Same goes for socks with heels/sandals. NOPE. Who is coming up with these ridiculous "fashion trends"? I've always been a silver person, with only the very occasional gold accessories.
There's definitely something for everyone which is fantastic but I encourage everyone to check their closets and drawers before making any purchases, you might be surprised how many of these trends you already own especially if you are an older gal like me 😅, also secondhand shopping is a great way to save some 💰 if you want to partake in a trend
Shoe clips and double belts…. Take me back to the 80s and 90s in NJ USA
YES!!!
I remember those. It seems like somme 80's and 90's trends are back.

I love this video, I’m going to watch it a few times and take some notes! Thank you Leonie😘
Aww thanks Charlotte x

Very interesting and informative loved it 😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯
So glad!
I wear mixed match earrings because I've lost one and I just still wear them even though they aren't the same ,I love that's it's called a trend 😂😅😂❤
Perfect!!!!
Super good idea!

Good video. Thank you!

Awesome love the idea of the jewelry on the footwear, going shopping today YEAH ..............THANK YOU.
Have fun!

I am a teacher and I’ve been on the double trouble trend for more than 20 years!❤😂😂
Of course!!!! x
Love your channel so much . I have so many of these trends ..
Yay! Thank you!
Excellent video, thanks
Glad you liked it!
Doubling up on bags reminds me of saddlebags on a horse or donkeys LOL😂
Thank you for the great video!! Really enjoyed learning about the latest trends!!!
Love baseball caps
Always the best!❤
Hi Leonie, please could you also describe/show what you are wearing in each video?
Oh yes I will do that x
Loved your video & your top too ; pls share the details if possible; love from India 💕💕
Thank you! It's actually a dress. Unfortunately, it's now sold out but this is where I bought it: www.decjuba.co.nz/

Thanks Leonie fir the trend update ❤️
Xo Gisel from Chicago
You're welcome Gisel - thanks for watching x
Great video!!...I am on the lookout now for wooden bracelets at the thrift and consignment stores! It will look great with linen! Thanks for the tip!
Great idea!! I'll bet you will find some goodies x
They have tons!😊
I used to wear mismatched earrings in the '80s in NYC.
Birks and Adidas shoes with scrunchie, textured socks work good for me, lightweight socks with loafers work as well. I love my shorter necklaces layered , but chokers aren’t really my jam..I like them on other people. Love the content!
Great video. I hate mismatched earrings. I’m into symmetry and it just looks ugly. Socks with trainers it’s ok but not with sandals.
Love your videos❤️The mix match earrings are a NOPE 👎🏻 for me though😁
Fair enough!

Socks? Mismatch earrings not really my preference! Bangles, sunglasses, chokers, layered necklaces absolutely

I love chokers but since I'm petite it's a no go.
If you wore a deep V neckline, you could pull off a choker.
I love your hair!!
Aww thank you so much x

Wonderful! I'm so pleased to hear that Denise x
Oh my, you finally did it- cut ur hair shorter…. Looks lovely!
Yes I did - it's not much shorter to be honest but I did add a few layers x
Hard "no" to baseball caps, but "hell yes" to everything else.
Nice! x
May i ask what you have on. Its very nice.
Hi Anna it's a stretchy lace maxi dress. I bought it from Decjuba but unfortunately it's sold out.
❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching Mary x
The double bag trend is ridiculous.

That's good to hear thx
Love mismatched earrings!!!! Double bag is a firm NO!
Wondering about baseball caps. Do the ladies take off the caps while inside?
No they tend to keep them on to avoid hat hair! Eek!
@@Thestyleinsider. lol, I wondered about hat hair ty
🩷 hi, from Austria
Hi from New Zealand x
Nobody does mismatched earrings better than korean stars. They have been doing it for years now.
Oh that's interesting!
I don't like how chokers feels around the neck. But it can look good.
Except. No socks and shoes 😂
👍
😁👌
Socks with sandals😂😂😂No!!😜🇿🇦
I don’t think the mis-matched earring has anything to do with age.
I would never wear socks with it
Chockers are awesome when a person has a long neck.
Doubling bags, negative for sure!
Mmmmmm . . . NO on the mismatched earrings. Same goes for socks with heels/sandals. NOPE. Who is coming up with these ridiculous "fashion trends"? I've always been a silver person, with only the very occasional gold accessories.
❤oʻ9999o⁹9999😅😅
It’s a no no no You should never wear socks with sandals no way not good
