When filming with the DOF adapter, it's important to note that your image will be flipped upside down. To correct this, it is recommended to use our Beastcam app or one of the apps listed below that specifically supports DOF adapters. These apps will ensure your footage appears correctly oriented, plus you will be able to take advantage of complete manual control of your camera settings to precisely focus on the ground glass and get the best possible results.

if youd make one of these for a camcorder thatd be cool, all the old ones werent sharp enough for 4k and were discontinued, and some of us have to use camcorders.

I have that same tripod rig MVH502AH Used in the video setup chapter (Time 2:56 and on). @beastgrip if I mount my full frame Canon Zoom Lens EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 (to film surfing/far away subjects) to the the Beastgrip DOF Adapter MK3 to the Beastcage for iPhone 15 Pro Max will the cage hold the weight or will it not hold this weight securely?
Or to hold the weight will I need the BeastRail Support System for DOF Adapter?

Would this work well when recording sporting events like soccer matches??
It depends what focal you used. The more you zoom in, the more you have to do manual focus. If you shoot only very wide angle, with infinity focus, it could works well, but the beastgrip kenko 0.75x could be a better choice. In my mind the dof series have the purpose to give you a film picture. You should better use it for shooting interview or portrait, but not for soccer match.

@@nathancasey7712 on the dof 2, i need to do my manuel focus on my zoom lens put on the dof, and sometimes, need to adjust the focus one time on the app (using the manuel focus in filmic legacy). That's why, it is better to use beastgrip and kenko 0.75 to have wide angle with infinity focus. My last video on my channel is sport filming, with gh4 45 200 and beastgrip kenko for wide angle and k&f filter for both lenses.

How much zoom can I get on that
There is no crop, so whatever focal length on the slr lens. The purpose of the adapter is not to get zoom, it’s about shallow depth of field :)

Innovation is great but.......... Adapter - £241.00, Beast Grip for iPhone 15 £121. Plus you'd need a Gimbal or extra rigging to counter the zero stabilisation to make it work. Why is the Adapter so heavily priced again ?

i don't get it, if it becomes so huge the setup, why not just use a proper camera?
True, no auto focus 😅 added price to about a proper setup 🤷🏻♂️
and no stabilization - thought the same. if you have a good cam I think this is not worth it.
I can see two uses
1.if you are on the go, and can create and post your content from your phone only, without having to use editing software on a component (remember that most kids will refuse to use a computer now)
2-B cam especially if you already have the lenses

A good camera usually has an expensive setup too. But anyway, a cheap compact camera with a non-removable lens will make the picture better. It will be cheaper, with autofocus, and the zoom is usually 16-160mm. So it's nice for enthusiastic works 😊

Основное преимущество смартфонов перед камерами, этл стабилизация. Даже матричная стабилизация в камере + оптическая в объективе, не сравнится со смартфоном. Но !!!! При использовании данного адептера, стабилизация в смартфоне не работает. Тогда вопрос, зачем всё это нужно. Лучше и дешевле будет купить canon r50,r10, sony zv e10 и так далее. Причём дешевле в 2 раза iPhone.

When we’re talking about using a camera with a lens with a lens for a different camera there will be aberrations and artifacts. If you arent able to embrace the limitations as a feature, why would you want to use a camera with a lens with a lens of a different camera? This should be for the effect. The problems should be what you want. Lens flairs used to be a bug. Bokeh was a bug. Now people love them. The first director to see anamorphic lens flair might have decided to shoot everything all over again but some director saw it and loved it and went with it. My favorite lens I own was the cheapest because the optics are “bad.” The lens flairs while shooting through a camera with a lens with a lens for a different camera will obviously be more. The edges are blurry? When did you become obsessed with perfection? It’s the imperfections that draw me into a system like this. Convenient but also interesting. You cant really get the look any other way so embrace it. Perfect optics are just plain boring. So much beautiful art makes the medium apparent. Van Gogh made sure you saw his brush strokes. Unless you’re shooting a pharmaceutical ad, why would you want your optics to be perfect? Sometimes you want people to forget they’re looking at camera photography, but that’s boring. Always embrace the limitations of a medium.
