Hi, bro! Whatching you channel from Ukraine. Had the same problem with fan fitment on my new aftermarket radiator. The seller stated it's for 2003-2012 model year. Wish I see your video earlier. Thank you
Hey there! Sorry to hear that you dealt with this issue. It is far too common and I wish the sellers had a better understanding of the fitment for the products they are selling. Thank you for watching the video though. Please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already. 🙂
If the OEM radiator is so awesome (as you claim) then why would anyone need a replacement?........btw, there really isn't an issue adapting fans to suit.
The OEM radiator is great but it’s not invincible. Plenty of people have damaged their OEM radiators in accidents past the point of repair. I’ve just gotten lucky and haven’t gotten an OEM radiator that was punctured. Also, yes. You can buy a universal fan to mount on the aftermarket radiator. But I prefer an OEM fan compared to one of those universal fans from eBay that won’t be as reliable or last as long.
Unfortunately, there are not many options for aftermarket fans for your bike. You can always find a used OEM fan or buy a universal aftermarket fan and custom fit it to your factory radiator. Hope this helps.
Going to be picking up a new transmission here in the next couple of weeks. Will be making a video with the transmission option I go with as well as the full installation process. It’s been rough not having the Trailblazer 😩
So I was thinking about updating my radiator because at idle it gets to 220°. Now I just did a coolant flush and put engine ice in it. And it's no different. . Is that temperature normal? Thanks.
220 is about when the factory fan turns on. It’s pretty normal for these bikes when idling for long periods of time. There are no upgrades for the SV radiator. Most aftermarket options are cheap.
The fan itself can be swapped but how do you know the motor works? If the motor works, the fan should spin unless the shroud itself is bent causing the fan to get stuck.
What do you mean the fitting is not cleared up? Which style SV650 / SV1000 do you have? I can’t give you a solid answer if it’s repairable without some photos. If you have any. You can email them to sales@motopartssource.com
I don’t believe I’ve seen any Gen 1 or 2 SV with a fan switch on the left side. Are you talking about a newer model or possibly a different model of motorcycle in general?
@@PASSIONBUILT if u look on Ebay for Sv1000 radiators a good amount of them have the sensor on the left. Others on the right. Unless is that one of them is top and the other is the bottom?
kickass video. i keep forgetting the switch year for fan shape
7 minutes of "you get what you paid for", but great vid explaining the differences
Thanks!

Bought mine on amazon .. Doing just fine so far .. But did buy the 4yr warnty
That’s awesome! How long have you had it installed for? Drop a link if you have it to help the rest of the SV community 🙂
03 was the wideass one, 04 was the same shape as later.
My 03’s radiator just saved my bikes ass lol
i’m replacing mine because the horn came loose and feel and was putting pressure on the back of the radiator bending the pics and causing it too leak

@@PASSIONBUILT I fitted a K6 GSXR 600 radiator to my K3 SV1K & I'd expect a lot of danger to a bike for any radiator to be effected
and yeah, definitely the ebay "03-09" is always horseshit (especially with 03 being quite different in places)
I need a fan for a 03 sv1000 bad, willing to pay but not 700$ for an oem one

@@PASSIONBUILT do you happen to have any oem fans for sale?
What brand is the aftermarket one? I am in need of a new fan desperately.
The fans in this video are not aftermarket. Only the radiators are.
Trailblazer update?

@@PASSIONBUILT Ok cool.
What's up my guy! Is there a way to just replace fan blades ( fan motor works but the plastic part doesn't spin

I dropped by bike on its side, the filler neck broke off. The fitting is not cleared up. Can it be repaired?

Do you still sell?
I do but don’t have any radiators available at this time. I apologize. www.motopartssource.com
