Even using the stitching irons stitching takes time! You should do a video of the old school "awl method" lmao! 21 seconds would turn into... Well let's just say "longer" I'm going to be like you one day and have higher quality irons lol! Fantastic video as always!!!!

Great vid. Very nice wallet. I like the switch up on the card slots vert and horizontal, makes it very classy looking. You never show, nor mention, what you use for edge dressing/finishing. Whatever it is it’s amazing but then the leather also plays a huge roll in final product. If you’re willing to share this crafter would be most interested ;) and yeah, noticed the co ro na Baha nice play on current events.

hello. so you dont need to heat your logo stamp and work just find with arbor press alone?
Depends on leather. On Horween Dublin, it’s fine dry because of the tanning process. On raw veg, the leather would need to be cased before pressing. Hot iron will work on any

Another great video! I noticed that you do not make a knot on each stitch. Does that help to keep the stitch line so nice. Yours are spot on!

Mascon Leather i was taught while doing saddle stitching to wrap the thread around the second needle before pulling it tight. First needle through, second needle half way through then wrap the opposite thread around the tip of the second needle then finish pulling the needle. Pull both tight. Sorry. It’s hard to describe. Lol. It does not really matter. Your stuff is amazing!!

It’s time consuming but I’m getting faster. I’m also getting into some wallets and such. I have learned so much from watching you. Thanks for putting out the videos!

Actually, the name is from the old family construction business. Form the 60s and 80s.
Mas-con construction. Mas - masonry. Con - concrete. I just dropped the hyphen. We’re all brick masons. That’s where my sons name came From. Mason.

They’re a lot thicker than “normal”. But my clients have come to expect it.

Ok, besides the standard weird items on the outskirts of some shots, I noticed a couple of things. 1) you stitch left hand priority (as I have been lead to believe) Are you a lefty? I am, but my brothers ruined me by making me do everything else right handed. So, I put the leading needle in first with my right hand. 2) you seem to really like the Horween Dublin. I am wondering why? Is it the firmness of the leather? I am not familiar with how it works 2-3 oz or 3-4 oz. Horween is terrific leather. Thanks for the video. Really neat design.
I’m right handed. All self taught. So it’s likely odd. I love Horween. Dublin, Essex, Rockford, cxl, etc etc. I usually use 5-6 oz.

Gday Mate. Do you get your leather from Horween themselves? If yes do you have to give them a big order to get leather from them? I’m in Australia and getting Horween leather here is as rare as rocking horse shit. I’m ordering mine from OA Leather in Canada but it takes over a month to get here as they send by normal mail.
